Was told it would be a full detail but when he finished it was a car wash. Total deception ! It was a half wash job .

UPDATE - 8/12/20: HUGE shout out to Jason Whittle,…read moreOperations Director for Edd Kirby, for reaching out and making things right! Again, it's not about making a mistake. We all do that. It's about making things right and Jason did so with grace and professionalism. We're super glad as we've always had great experiences at Edd Kirby and now look forward to continuing to do so! ORIGINAL POST - 8/11/20: I'm not one to leave bad reviews for places of business unless it's highly warranted. Even if an establishment makes multiple, horrible mistakes, so long as they make it right, they generally get a 5-star review and retain my business. Edd Kirby's Adventure Cars in Dalton, GA (specifically, their service department) didn't make the cut today. My wife went this morning for a scheduled routine oil change for our minivan. We also scheduled the brakes to be replaced. Since the brakes on this van had been fabulous (we got over 114,000 miles on them) we asked for the same factory parts to be put back on it (this was requested last week when the appointment was scheduled). When she arrived for the appointment, they didn't have the requested brakes nor had they ordered them. After agreeing to take what they had (as we had no choice at this point - we leave for a long trip today), she then had to wait over five hours for the work to be completed. Once completed, she was charged over $700. My issues are this. If something is going to cost $700, you should let the customer know this up front. I understand we live in 2020 and a brake job probably doesn't typically cost a couple hundred bucks anymore. But $700? I would think the least you could do is give the customer a heads up. Also, if the work is going to take 5 plus hours, it would be nice to know this as well. Furthermore, when you're asked 3 hours into the job "how much longer?" and you respond with "30-45 minutes," only to take 2 hours longer, yeah, that's not good either. Finally, when you fail to see how ridiculous the entire fiasco is, and refuse to make anything right, that's the last straw. This was the only place we've ever taken the van for servicing. Never again.

They are pleasant, efficient, highly skilled, and go above and beyond to ensure their customers are happy. They guarantee their work for the life of the vehicle, which is excellent. The customer service, especially Elicia, was outstanding from start to finish during both experiences! I highly recommend Babb's for your body shop needs.

TOXIC! RUDE! MANIPULATIVE! SEXIST!…read more The rudest, most SEXIST body shop!!! If you're a woman and you're okay with being treated like garbage, like you are beneath men, and like you're stupid, then by all means... visit this toxic, overpriced, manipulative, sexist, overrated "body shop" Scott is the biggest ( think other word for thorn) I have ever met! It took us a couple of weeks to figure out they were trying to manipulate us. Thankfully, I had never been involved in any type of accident that was my fault until this moment where I slid on some water and hit a curb. They did not have someone in their shop that could actually perform the service of fixing our car (it's a sports car) So they were doubling the price, and trying to find another body shop they could outsource it to, so they could still make a profit. Which honestly I would have been fine with because I wanted my car fixed swiftly and was willing to pay a little bit more to achieve that. The problem is, they were taking weeks to do this, just because they were trying to find who would do it the cheapest so they can make the most profit. During this whole three weeks that Babs had my car, they were not telling me what was wrong, what needed to be done, or giving us a price or anything. All while knowing this was my only way of transportation at the time with me having three kids and my husband out of town for work for the whole month. So I had it sent to Helton after speaking with the owners son and it sitting at babbs for THREE WEEKS WITHOUT KNOWING WHAT ALL IT NEEDED DONE. The co-owner of Heltons (his son) PROMISED me that they would not over charge me which they tried to do but in a different way than Babs (don't worry, they're overpricing will be addressed on their review, I have a copy of all the things extra they were trying to make us do to make a pretty penny) Helton was trying to make us do things such as change my back breaks which my husband had just changed about two months prior and they were literally not damaged at all! So after these two body shops tried to over charge us, I decided to file it on my insurance and they made the decision to take it back to Babs because they would not even consider working with Helton (that should tell you how overpriced they are right there). Then, somehow, after filing it on the insurance, the "guesstimate" price at Babs mysteriously became half of what they were originally telling me at that point (almost a month later mind you) they finally decided to hire someone to actually do it in their body shop. They had my car for over a month ( with the exception of it being moved to Hilton, but it was only there for three days). They did not contact me until I started going in there every single day and sitting and demanding answers. When we would call and ask about it, it was oh someone will call you back, but they didn't! There were things THEY did not know about my vehicle (such as which tires I had on it or whew I had gotten them), but instead of calling and asking, knowing that I was without my car... They took three days trying to research it themselves. When they could've simply called and asked because they were not familiar with the type of tires I have. They were to proud, to cocky. It is honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! I hope something happens soon to get these peoples egos in check because they need it! My insurance chose this place because I had no knowledge of the body shops around here... Trust me, I know better now! And I hope this review helps you know better too. I would suggest calling the shops they were going to outsource so that way you can just pay them directly instead of going through babbs If you are self-paying customer. Also if you are paying to fix the damage is yourself instead of filing a claim on your insurance, look over the paperwork thoroughly and make sure that everything they are saying needs to be done, is actually a necessity. Good luck. P.S. they got so offended because I wanted to put my car in valet mode ( for anyone, that doesn't know it changes it where the car will not go over so many MPH because it has a lot of horsepower). they told me if I didn't trust them with my business, I could take it somewhere else!!!! I told them it wasn't my choice, and I had already tried that! He knew the position I was in, and he said that to me after me waiting for my car for almost a month. In that moment, he took advantage of the position I was in to be able to say whatever he wanted to me because he knew how badly I need in my car! Scott is a terrible person.
