I wrote a review because Gabay , really messed up my surgery which was full face lift for 11,000 My eyes were not done right, he added fat to my face that looks totally ridiculous , my ear is attached to the side of my head, and i couldn't move the left side of my face to about six months. So i finally got a appointment to him to do corrections which is supposed to be included in the price but he wanted to charge anesthesia ,and for me to erase the bad review I wrote on him or wasnt doing anything to me or to fix his mistakes the he admitted to, I couldnt believe a Dr. of any kind, would actually say that to a patient. very very unprofesional and disappointing , so now i have to get a lawyer, everyday now i have to look at myself looking horriable and worse them i went in his office. My husband had large stretched ears. He decided to have them surgically corrected as he got older for work and for our wedding. The staff and doctor were great. The procedure went very well. Everything was explained to him as it was happening. I was shocked at how great his incisions looked. Had my first BA back in "99". I complained to Dr. Gabay several times about my beast being uneven, soreness, left nipple pointing west, along with some areola issues... He worked on my areola a few times but it got worse each time. As far as them being uneven he stated it was because my natural breast uneven...NOT TRUE but conveniently my before and after pictures were lost. Never satisfied I had no choice but to live with it due to cost.I was young and didn't have the money to get them fixed/ replaced by another doctor. Fast forward 15 years. My breast shifted since my pocket was too large for the implant..I finally have the cost to get them replaced. My current doc ,who by the way is amazing. (Dr. Kole in Southampton Pa) Sends me to get a MRI because it's very obvious somethings wrong. MRI report states my implants are 2" different in size. Ok, means there's a possible leak, since I "supposedly" had identical size/manufactured implants in me. Leaks happen, They're 15 years old..Got it. So your probably thinking " Why is this your problem after 15 years? " Well on operative report you state both of my implants are Mentor 375cc's. But when they were removed one was a Mentor implant 350. The other is clearly bigger and not a Mentor. My records are contradicting. Where did this other implant come from? Was it a sample? Was it re-used? Why isn't there any record of this implant? I'm sure you can understand my frustration. What I thought was in my body wasn't. .I was lied to and my records were altered, not to mention no record of any of my before & after pictures . If you are considering using him I beg you to reconsider and DO YOUR HOMEWORK! BEST OF LUCK! read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I had rhinoplasty done by Dr. Gabay. Its been slightly over 6 months now and most of the swelling is gone now. I can now clearly see that my nose has a shape of a zig-zag. It is literally that crooked. Almost immediately after the surgery I could already see that is very asymmetrical. I pointed it out to him about 2 weeks after the surgery during my first follow-up. He briefly and rudely abrupted me saying that I shouldn't talk about it so soon. Next second he was already standing at the door basically ready to leave the room. The nose is VERY crooked and I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the results considering all the rehab I had to go trough. The nose actually looked better before the surgery. It wasn't a cheap surgery either..... STAY AWAY! BE WARNED. read more

I was initially referred to this office by someone close to me, who scrubbed for Gabay and Gotlieb a few years ago, and witnessed two of their surgeries. I looked into the practice, which offers a free breast augmentation consultation -- which I found is not typically offered at other local cosmetic surgery centers, so I appreciated this. I spoke with Michelle, who is an absolute sweetheart, over the phone to schedule a consult. From the moment I stepped foot in this office, I was greeted by the staff with kindness and care. Gabay was quick to come into the room to talk with me, answering all of my questions and concerns. He explained exactly what the procedure would be like and what he recommended for me. He was informative and made me feel like I was already a patient there. I went ahead and scheduled the surgery, and the staff, already swamped with appointments, kept me in mind and moved my appointment date up every time there was an opening. On the morning of my surgery, at 6 AM, Gabay asked how I was feeling, and he and his staff made me feel so comfortable and cared for I couldn't believe it. There were at least three extra staff members attending to me that day. The entire staff is so friendly and kind, even at six n the morning. After the operation, which lasted a few hours, Gabay and his staff gave me all the materials and direction needed to have a safe recovery. I had a few post-op appointments, where Gabay made sure I was healing correctly. A few weeks after the first post-op appointment, I was having some concerns with the adequacy of my own post-op exercises, so I called and they got me in there the next day. Throughout this entire process, I felt cared for and valued by all members of this staff. I am very happy with my results, and I would 100% recommend Gabay and his staff to any one interested in cosmetic surgery. read more

I went to Gabay to fill my lips and under eyes. he told me that he couldn't complete the look I wanted with only 1 syringe and upsold me another syringe and over-injected my face pretty badly. I visited his office 4 times asking him to fix the results, and he injected me with a steroid each time. On my 5th visit I told him the steroid injections were not helping the excess of filler at all and he attempted to gaslight me by saying there was nothing wrong with the product placement and that "this is what you asked for". I had severe Tyndall effect under the eyes, hard lumps, and a full bulky upper lip that did not animate properly. After crying I got him to admit the filler looked bad he told me "nothing can be done" and then tried to suggest more filler. he complained that he didn't even have a dissolving agent on hand "because it's very expensive". Another physician dissolved me over two sessions and noted that he injected excessive filler very deep and into the wrong planes of my lips. read more

Terrible place. They removed a small tags on my face. I is been a 3 years already a have a scars on my cheek, nose. Plus they charged for that all most a 2000$. I called them 6 times to charge my insurance and they keep forget. Plus I was waiting for my appointment about 3 hours in office... I would never recommend that place. I was billed almost $140 for wax removal, a procedure that took literally 5-10 minutes. I drove there just to double-check they had the right insurance and the amount was correct. $140 is fine with me, I have an incredibly awful high deductible plan and I expect something like this. However, I asked the woman at the front desk to check and she had me sit and wait for the manager. The manager - a tall black woman with braids - then came out and immediately and impatiently dismissed my question and said that's the amount I am required to pay. I made a simple joke in the split second she yielded me that if I made $140 for 10 minutes I would be a millionaire in a week's time. Her reaction was to tell me that I then should have become a doctor (!). Additionally, she said she thought $140 was "cheap" for a 10 minute visit. I am sure it is cheap for her. The lady at the front desk sat the whole time like a deer in the headlights, even when I told her her boss was rude. No concern. Is this professional behavior? Were I a doctor I think I would have enough sense to treat my patients - people who pay me and keep me in business - with respect rather than condescension, even if $140 to me is equivalent to pocket change. Not everyone is doing as fantastically as she and Gabay and the rest of the millionaires are in this office. I felt like just another piece of cash for them. BTW, Gabay is a decent enough doc, but beware that that he doesn't wear a mask, which is odd, as he asks all his patients to wear masks. They had Fox News running on their television so I guess that explains the cognitive dissonance. read more

I can not write a 5 star review because I haven't had work done by these doctors (two doctors at this office, Dr. Gabay and Dr. Gotlieff), but I want to write on my experience with them as a patient. Unfortunately, I can not use them as my plastic surgeon for a fractured nose because I live in California and they recommended that I do it there because of my time schedule here, but I felt very comfortable with them and they seemed that they cared about my well-being. Everyone at the office was very nice and accommodating and they scheduled an appointment same day! My great experience is probably a result of my uncomfortable experience with Dr. Carl Manstein at Holy Redeemer Hospital on Huntington Pike, who told me that I needed surgery the next day and that I had to make a decision on the spot, and he couldn't accept my insurance if he did it at the surgery center and not at the hospital. Dr. Gotlieff said they do the most plastic surgeries a year in Pennsylvania for noses. He explained everything in detail to me, and gave me a recommendation in California. I simply had to write this because I felt so comfortable with them and would recommend them to someone looking for plastic surgery for an incident or for cosmetics. It did not seem like they were there to get money out of you. read more

Dr. Gabay is the best doctor i've ever been too. I got a breast augmentation about a year ago, and no one even knows my breasts aren't really. Although there is always a lot of people that go to him, i never have to wait. The longest you have to wait is about 15 minutes, and him and his staff are the most pleasant people to work with. I have heard many great things about Dr. Gabay from friends and family. After meeting Dr. Gabay, I don't have anything negative to say about him or 95% of his staff. My problem is with his PA (Physician Assistant), Robert. I will call him BOB for legal purposes. Let's just say that he had a touch of the God Complex. He is a very handsome man but don't let him fool you. First, here is a little history about me (professionally and personally). I work in the Pharmaceutical Industry doing clinical research (18 years). I provide protocol training and monitoring to doctors, nurses and medical professionals. I audit physicians' offices for detail and review patient histories for safety and efficacy purposes. I have had chronic sore throats, fevers, viruses, bacterial infections and pneumonia for over 2 years now. I have never been overweight and have exercised my whole life (running, walking, sports, etc.). My exercising activity ceased due to pneumonia in the fall of 2008 which lasted on and off for 1 year. I relapsed this fall with pneumonia after having the flu. I put 30 pounds on in 1 year from lack of exercise, steroids and the lazy man's diet (lots of carbohydrates). I also travel for my career and within 48 hours of every flight, I develop an infection. My primary physician recommended that I see Dr. Gabay to get some answers. The fact is that I am sick of being sick and that is why I was there! Ok, enough about me, let's get back to BOB and his arrogant and dismissive attitude... BOB walks in the office annoyed that I was in the rest room. Now mind you, it is 5 o'clock, he's been seeing patients all day and they are trying to close the office. I am one of the last patients. So sorry about the inconvenience, BOB. I was instructed to bring any labs and diagnostic tests that I have had for Dr. Gabay to review. I brought my blood work, diagnostic tests and personal diary (including a temperature log and symptom diary that my previous physician recommended I do, to help the doctors see the big picture). BOB looked at my file for 10 seconds, waved it and told me that "It is not normal for someone to have a file like this on themselves". He stated that in all his years he has never seen any patient do this. Again he continued to comment that this is not "normal" behavior. So what is BOB implying? It only took 2 whole minutes for BOB to properly diagnose me, even without an examination. BOB made the following comments after I continued to brief him with my history: "A normal person does not carry a file around with them *You need to go to the gym *Arod (yes, the baseball player) is on steroids too and he is not fat* Normal people don't document their temperatures and symptoms on a daily basis* Get a new job* Don't fly anymore* I told you get a new job* It's all in your head*Stop taking your temperature*So what if you have pneumonia, you run through it, you don't stop exercising* Ok, if you don't think that is bad, you need to factor in the condescending tone of voice, rolling of the eyes, gentle sighs of annoyance, negative attitude, lack of empathy, curt and abrupt behavior. Not to mention making negative comments about other ENTs that I have seen in my past (2-3 years ago). So I asked him if he is going to examine me before he diagnoses me. He was suddenly quieter (finally) during my exam. BOB was obviously surprised to a sinus infection, red, raw, swollen throat. BOB admitted that my throat was NOT in good condition and was very infected. BOB also admitted that it looked like I may need to have my tonsils removed. Dr. Gabay finally enters the room. I just wanted BOB to leave, but couldn't get the words out. BOB completely caught me off guard. I was like a deer in the headlights. Dr. Gabay acted in every way that BOB did NOT and probably will never be able to do. Dr. Gabay was attentive, patient, empathetic, comforting and honest about my condition. After Dr. Gabay evaluated me (professionally), BOB actually seemed sympathetic for 5 seconds and asked me how long I've been like this? I thinkt BOB suddenly found a human emotion...guilt. I answered politely with a nervous smile, not sure where the video cameras were hiding... After leaving this pleasant experience, I remembered that I told BOB about just taking my last Amoxicillin the day before. I expressed my concern that I still had strep throat, especially since he said the Amoxicillin was not a wise choice and was worthless. I was no better (17 days now with strep). I realized later that BOB never cultured me for strep. If I were BOB, I would have done a culture. How 'bout you? Dear BOB; RUDE BEDSIDE MANNER leaves the patient feeling beaten, scared, alone and very unsatisfied. You will lose patients with this negative behavior. And please, never work at a suicide hotline! Maybe you should listen to your own advice and GET A NEW JOB, BOB! read more

Do not have plastic surgery by Dr. Gabay! I had a mini tuck and hernia repair years ago and my belly button looks a mess. The hole is huge and has a thick keloid circle around it. I first met w/Dr. Gabay in NJ to consult about a breast reduction procedure. After having 2 other consultations with two different surgeons including one in S.I., NY-I chose Dr. Gabay due to his impeccable doctor/patient consultation. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure & recovery to me & showed true professionalism for my personal feelings & concern about my "new look. It wasn't hard to make my decision to choose Dr. Gabay. On the day of my surgery, while he was doing the necessary markings-I was still concerned for myself about how small my breasts would be compared to my hip size and didn't say anything until the very last moment on the table before I'd be sleeping and in those last seconds, I clearly remember him reassuring me that I'm going to look great & he's going to take care of me. I awoke to the nurses & his smiling face & because of his wonderful bedside manner & disposition, I already felt beautiful! That feeling continued because he did a fabulous job which lasted 10 years. I had put on some weight, then lost the weight but not in my breasts & I decided to consult with Dr. Gabay again only to find he was no longer in NJ & was many miles away.
