    Front Wall before
 :-(

My wife and I bought a 90 yr old fixer with a crumbling front staircase and ugly, poorly built concrete block wall along the front of our yard. We definitely wanted it all updated, and after looking at a few different companies, we chose Gabby Grace Landscaping to do the work for several reasons: Gabby Grace was friendly, intuitive and knowledgeable during our walk-through of the project, and even walked our property with us and gave us advice on plants and other landscaping possibilities; it is a female owned company which employs indigenous peoples; there was no hard sell and she gave us several options and price ranges; the pictures and reviews from other projects the company had done were beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. It was the best choice we could have made! The men Gabby Grace employs are not only true craftsmen, but also friendly and respectful. Don Pedro and his crew worked fast and they worked hard, and at the same time were so courteous that my neighbors even commented on how non-intrusive the weeks-long project seemed to them. Gabby Grace checked in often, always answered questions promptly, and happily made the few small changes we requested. The project went faster and came out more beautiful than we could have imagined! Gabby Grace and the guys became like family and we will always keep in touch and go to them with any future projects or needed advice. If you're like us, the cost of things will always be a consideration. We ended up going with natural stone over other options because we really wanted that look. It was the more expensive option, and Gabby Grace was not the cheapest company we looked at, but when it came to the front of our house, we decided You Get What You Pay For. You don't get Filet Mignon for the price of Chicken Nuggets! And supporting a business like hers is very important to us as well. We're beyond happy with our decision, and you will be too. I don't understand where some of these people are coming from. Now, as a homeowner I can only…read moreattest to his work on my driveway. I have been using Hollywood for 12 years now. I have never had a problem with his work or price. I have recommended him to friends & family which is something I don't usually do but I was not concerned unfavorable blowback. They all liked his work. What else can I say. I've always found him to be reliable, & do a good job at a reasonable price. That's my 2¢.

Several of my neighbors recently had their driveways sealed by this company, and although I was considering hiring them as well, there were already some warning signs that I should have paid more attention to. The work resulted in damage to multiple lawns, including properties that were not having any work done. When I contacted the owner to discuss scheduling, the interaction was unprofessional from the start. He answered the phone with only "hello," and I had to ask whether I had reached the correct business. When I asked if he could let me know when he had availability, he stated that he was very busy and simply told me to send my address. Later, he called me back, but I missed the call. When I eventually reached him, he said they could come the following day. I began explaining that I would be out of town and was about to ask whether the work could be completed while I was away, with a neighbor handling payment. Before I could finish my sentence, he interrupted me and angrily stated that it was ridiculous for me to call if I wasn't available the next day. As I tried to explain my proposed arrangement, he repeatedly interrupted me, raised his voice, and berated me. He demanded to know how he was supposed to get in contact with me, despite not allowing me to explain that I had a plan in place. At that point, I simply said, "Okay, thank you very much. No problem," and ended the call. Shortly afterward, he began sending text messages accusing me of being rude for hanging up. I responded that I felt he was being rude by refusing to let a potential customer explain their availability and needs. Rather than addressing the situation professionally, he told me to "go f*** yourself." That he makes a lot of money implying my business isn't needed. No customer should be spoken to that way. Regardless of how busy a business owner may be, basic professionalism and respect should be expected. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend doing business with this company.
