Gabe's is an off-price discount store that sells merchandise that are department store cancellations, excess inventory, vendor closeout, and unsold inventory from other stores. Departments include women's and men's clothing, boys' and girls' clothing, shoes, accessories, foods, household goods, and other items. I thought that the store was large and contained a massive mixture of products. Brands were sometimes name-brand and were steeply discounted to low prices. I bought holiday napkins and a dog collar and spent only $6 total! At checkout, the lines of customers were long. The cashiers did their best to move us along quickly. My cashier said thank you and to have a nice day. I gave a neutral rating because I could not imagine spending time to sift through the racks of miscellaneous clothes to find things that I like. read more

There is nothing special about this location. It's an older location and it shows. It is dark and dingy, not overly clean and not a great selection. A lot of their items are damaged, so beware and check carefully if you are buying. A lot of the items are pretty old. Items (including clothing) that were in style and on the same shelf a few years ago. So they must not sell a lot or this location gets the stuff others can't sell. I'm not sure. This place is dark and dinghy and I swear that it has not changed in years. I mean it looks exactly the same as it did when I was in high school. Without giving that away, let's just say it's been over a decade. There is minimal organization in here, it's like they get new items and just kind of throw it on a rack. The last time I was there was about two months ago and listened to a cashier cop an attitude with a very nice customer in the line next to me. It was so bad I finally opened my mouth and stuck up for the customer. I went back there to shop again and found out she is still employed there. She was also yelling at me for sticking up for the customer. Since they want to keep her employed, and their store is in such disarray I prefer to drive to the state college location which is awesome. It actually has some organization to it. This is a dumping ground! I bought 2 pairs of leggings that came in a pack and when I got them home I noticed a rip all the way up the crouch on one pair and the other pair had a black pair white stain all the way up he leg. They turned them both facing in so I couldn't see the flaws them charged 15.99 for the set!!! They refused to let me return them due to Covid but once the started taking reruns the lady said "we don't carry this brand" my mind was blown! I bought them there! So I just took it as a loss then two weeks later I found the same set of leggings there! I was furious cause I had thrown out the other leggings they wouldn't take back and management wouldn't do NOTHING! Che k everything before u purchase and try on everything! Not to mention when I bought dog steps there they forgot to give them to me after I paid and when I went back they said they didn't have them but I bought the last set of them and magically they had one set left the next day with the same stain on the bottom step! This place is disgraceful! They treat customer like shot and act like we are an annoyance! Management get your shot together! read more

This place is an absolute JOKE...and I'll tell you why. I don't care how good their deals are, they have NO sense of customer service. The story: I lost my driver's license and was backtracking all the places I had been to in order to determine where to look. I looked in the phone book so I could call them - no phone number. I called directory assistance - no listing. Finally, I call corporate headquarters and I get this biggest bullshit story about how they don't list or give out any of the phone numbers to any of their stores. PERIOD! Have you ever heard of a company that doesn't want to be easily accessible to customers, who they depend on for their income since they are a retailer?? So, I start to ask questions of this corporate rep and she couldn't care less that I'm just trying to call the store to find out if they have my license. She says that they don't want customers bothering the stores asking if they have certain items in stock. I was like...WTH?!?!? Are you serious?? Do you know what you're saying. She won't tell me a business's phone number but she had the audacity to ask me and then pressure me to give out my private, unpublished residential number so she could call the store and have someone call me. I declined as I don't want my number in some massive database. Then again, I'm not a retailer who wants people's money and business, so I saw no reason to oblige her. After doing some creative searching, I found their number and called. The manager was more worried about learning how I got the store's phone number than trying to help me determine if they found my license or not. He too said that the store doesn't give out their number or list it on their website as they don't want to be bothered with customers calling to inquire if they have a certain style of shirt or pants or whatever. I mean...I just couldn't believe what I was hearing. Bottom line...don't go here and spend your money. WHY? Because, according to the manager, they don't want to be bothered with customers. I just simply can not get enough of Gabe's. The kids I raised grew up on Gabe's in one visit I could spend 100$. And dress myself n 20 kids. The kids all from Everett loved loved shopping at Gabe's those same kids are married with kids and now shop themselves at Gabe's. Generational love it love it !!!! read more

Gabriel Brothers has the best deals and the best brands for about an eighth of the original price. It definitely is a scavenger hunt for the treasures, but when you find them- it is REALLY exciting. American Apparel T-shirts for $5, Free People for $10 and Urban Outfitters for $10... and I can keep going. My sister (Amy P.) and I make it a ritual to always stop in whenever we are home not only for the great deals, but it's a lot of fun. If you want to stop somewhere for a hit or miss store, where the hits are 100 times better than places like tjmaxx and marshalls, I would definitely pull off the BLVD and have yourself a go! read more

Got my New Balance shoes there for half the price they were at the mall, and i found a couple of pairs of Perry Ellis pants to wear at work for only 5 bucks a pop. Definitely worth the stop. read more

Great store. My wife and I are in here at least one a month, usually more. The staff are always helpful and the prices are fantastic. They have a very wide variety of products ranging from home decor, to kitchen ware, to clothing at 1/4 the original cost. Don't get me wrong though, sometimes it is tough finding the gems and the store is a bit run down inside, but definitely worth a visit. read more
