I just received my order & the plants are Fabulous!!! I ordered 4 plants in 4" pots & the Quality & Size were more similar to receiving a 6" pot. I was particularly impressed by the two orders of the Philodendron Atabapoense. They were both ~17" tall with Lots of leaves. I'm pretty certain that each had a 12" leaf in a 4" pot. Unreal In addition the Stunning healthy plants, I was just as impressed by the care that went into wrapping & packaging. It was more than a consumer would ever expect. I order many plants online & either plants were crushed, a leaf/stem broken, an over-abundance of soil in the box (which makes it very messy); or.. you need a battle axe to unwrap the plant. But not this shop. Every step of packaging was handled with care. I was incredibly impressed. Corrugated cardboard protected the plant, a white grow bag material covered each individually, and fluffy cotton wrapped around the soil. Not only were the plants Large & Healthy, beautifully wrapped (by Taylor - Thank Youuuu!!!) Now let's talk about Leveling Up the game. I was surprised to see another Gift- a Story on your individual plant via a QR code! What?! . Can we talk about "Attention to Detail & elevating the Experience?". I feel as though I've Adopted plants & couldn't be Happier as a new Mom! It was my first order, but won't be the last. This shop did an Outstanding Job! Bravo,.. BRAVO!!!!! Ordered carnivorous plants to be shipped to CT in our last warm spell of the year (purchased optional heat pack just to be sure as we're down into the 30s overnight). Absolutely couldn't be happier! Healthy, large vigorous plants at a reasonable price, but what really set them apart was the careful packing. One Drosera even had thread - thin flower spikes, which are intact. Personal email contact (not just canned text) to be sure they were shipped before weather dropped below freezing was especially appreciated. Points for Sarah! read more

Gabriella Plants, the king of online plant shops most famously known for their philodendron pink princesses and philodendron gabby offerings, has now opened up a brick and mortar. Those in the plant community have been anxiously awaiting the moment where they can oogle these goodies IRL and not just online. Those two particular plants are still very rare and are certainly not guaranteed in store. But this shop offers a good variety of common and more rare plants. I've heard of folks score uncommon plants that are not even sold online. Shane and his crew propagate a lot of these on their own or harden their plants right from their greenhouses in Longwood! I just like the idea that the plants that I'm buying haven't traveled too extensively and all good yelpers know local is better :) They have just recently opened about a month ago, so the space is still coming together. There's already beautiful murals on the walls and local events are starting to be scheduled (plant swaps, workshops, etc). My only critique is that they could offer more home good items like pottery and plant accessories. Their staff is very knowledgeable about plant care and friendly to interact with. Gabriella Plants is absolutely amazing! I've been following them on Instagram for a while, but just recently decided to order my first plant from them and the process couldn't have been easier. Last week I order a Pink Princess Philodendron (PPP) through their website. I was a little hesitant to have a plant shipped to me across state lines, but decided to give it a try. After completing the purchase they quickly sent an order number, and two days later I received my tracking number. My new PPP was delivered yesterday and she was a beauty! I love that the plant came with a QR code that shares the story of who has been taking care of the plant. The plant also came with a few instructions on what to do after getting your plant (check for damage, pest, etc). Worth the visit, Brian was friendly and they have a nice groupings of different plants. I took two new plant friends home. I'm happy to have a local retail nursery - you should stop by if you want a unique plant or to support local. Their shop is tucked in the plaza across from Walmart and Kohls off Aloma near 417. Three generations of plant growers on this property. We got the tour by Shane, the youngest whose entrepreneurial spirit took the business from Wholesale only to online retail sales through their Etsy store. It all began with the Pink Princess. They were receiving lots of orders for it and found out this plant was rare and in high demand. So they began making more and selling online. They now ship all over the USA including Hawaii and Alaska. The store is opened only one weekend a month for now. Follow the dates on their Instagram and Facebook accounts. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the knowledge of the staff, the quality and care each plant receives and theninstructions on how to care for your purchases at home. Someone told me about this little spot a couple of months ago so I started following them on Instagram and since then have been dying to come in to check out this place! Don't be like me and just map yourself there because I drove by like four times before I finally saw the sign BELOW the awning. This is just a fun anecdote and not at all a reflection of the business because you really can't miss it like I did. Anyways, it's a good size store and there are plants along all the walls, in middle tables, and hanging in shelves. Lots of really awesome choices and even some rare plants I've had my eye out on for a while. There was a sweet guy working the store (it was his first day) and he - very patiently - listened to and answered all of my questions about the different plants and my own (dying) alocasia and calatheas at home. BUT the best part about this little spot is the prices! All of the plants were really affordable priced - even some of the more rare houseplants. On top of that, they had a discount going for Valentine's Day! This will definitely be on my rotation for houseplants if (and when) I need to replenish my house. read more

I went to the shop today to pick up a philodendron I ordered online and while I was there I was shopping for some plants to gift my parents and my brother for Valentine's Day. I probably walked around the store for 20 minutes going in circles just looking at all of their beautiful plants. Then once I got to the counter I had all my plants I was buying up on the desk and as I went to tap my card she goes "don't worry about it". I sadly didn't get to catch her name but the woman working was the most kind stranger I have ever encountered. She ended up giving me the rest of the plants for free. It was the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me. She even offered me a hug afterwards and said she sensed I was having a hard time. I started to tear up and was bawling in my car on my drive back home. Being a busy stressed college student is so so hard and she made my entire week! I will be buying all of my plants from Gabriella plants from now on. Not because I was given free plants, but because of the kindness shown from a complete stranger. If you're reading this thank you so much for the hug and the nice gesture, I really needed it! I haven't been able to stop thinking about it it changed my entire day! I was sent two plants with scale. I emailed the info and had some further questions about the refund process. No response. I expressed my frustration with the lack of information about this process. I now am sitting with two diseased plants and no communication from Gabriella plants. I guess their whole claim that they sell disease and bug-free plants is just a lie. Save your money. I will never be shopping there again and I will be telling everybody I know to not waste their time purchasing anything from Gabriella plants. read more

I bought a bunch of plants from Gabriella plants - a ficus, alocasia, fern, pepper plant, Philodendron. The plants arrived very well packed and healthy. I even requested a change in the order after I had placed my order and they were incredibly helpful. When the plants did arrive, however, I had some concerns about some white marks on the stem that I was terrified was an infestation. Gabriella Plants was quick to respond and talk me through the entire issue and allay my fears. I'm very very impressed by their plants as well as their service. read more

Their products are awesome, but customer service is Big No No! I bought the plant on February 27th and paid $ 360. Today is March 13th, but the order status is "not shipped". Yes, it's been two weeks already. I sent them three messages requesting an estimated shipping date, but they didn't reply.
