Because of the flexibility of the owners we could stay in a double room together with two young children (they put us exta-matresses in the room). We had a very pleasent stay there.

To check in, we visited Cafe Pini, which was in the same building. There, we were given a sealed envelope with a letter and two keys. This felt a bit awkward to me, but only because I had forgotten about this instruction in a prior e-mail I'd received, and therefore wasn't expecting it. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. Decoration varied. One room was more modern, another was completely...bizarre, to be honest. It made me feel like I was living in an antique shop. I appreciated the unique atmosphere. (The bathroom was completely modern, and even included shampoo, soap, shoe horns and shower caps.) Great location. There were a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars in the area that were very much worthwhile. You could also walk to the main attractions (Marienplatz) easily if you wanted to. There's also access to public transportation very close by. The breakfast was included, and was very good. The spread wasn't obscenely large, but the food was delicious, as was the coffee (French Press, made fresh!!!) The very nice lady who ran the breakfast sliced fresh ham as soon as she noticed it was getting low, and checked in to make sure you had everything you needed. Additionally, the atmosphere of the breakfast was very nice. Quality tablecloths, matching china...very fancy.

And given your room key. The staff were very polite and great by the way. The rooms are pretty big. We were also given a crib for our son free of charge. Tv doesn't have a lot of channels but you do get free Wi-Fi. For does who have devices. And it throughout the whole building. Lunch was great. We had fish. Price but quality is okay. Wouldn't recommend the stake. Just my opinion. We actually went out for dinner and grabbed some Italian food. The hotel can't recommend any places since they can't promote anything but their own restaurant which is understandable but they don't pressure you either. We paid for the breakfast (€8) little buffet. Nothing to fancy. Cereal Can make your own sandwich Yogurt Hard boiled eggs Ect.... Overall the hotel/restaurant is a great location especially if your going or coming from the airport. It's about a 15-20 minute ride depending your speed. But worth the price. I definitely recommend it. Good Luck!!

Where the guy from the other review found this super-glamorous hotel is a mystery to me: this is…read moreyour regular Bavarian hotel, and nothing fancy about it. My room is rather small and is not on a sunny side, so that doesn't help. The bathroom is tiled in orange-brown tiles that must have been hot in the sixties, and the taps have seen better times as well. OK, everything is very clean, but hello, what else do you expect in Bayern? As to Internet: the Wifi does simply not work, and after one week of complaints, is still not working. There is an old PC on the second floor that you can use free of charge, but it has no USB entries, no camera, no microphone, so you're better off finding yourself an Internet Cafe in town (none in this shining village of rich farmers of course). Breakfast is as to be expected, and quite OK. Although even here, the Bavarian mentality shows: I asked if I could have scrambled eggs instead of the eternally overcooked ones, and the answer was: no, she only made 'regular' eggs! Ha! Regular eggs, meaning done the Bavarian way!

There is a world class spa (largest in Europe in a hotel). There is a nice and generous self-serve happy hour between 5-6pm with free wines and German lager. The rooms were clean and well equipped except the Chromecast function on the TVs didn't work for us limiting us to just a small handful of English-speaking channels (mostly news stations like CNN). Not a big deal since we weren't traveling to watch TV, but it would have been nice to be able to unwind to a movie on Netflix instead of having to face the real world via listening to the news. We were able to sleep well in the beds and the curtains blocked most of the light nicely so we didn't wake up at 5am every morning. There was a decent restaurant but avoid the pricier "dry aged" steaks if you are used to fine American steakhouses. The dry aged steak lacked flavor and could be more tender but was cooked to the right temp. There's a nice coffee shop attached with friendly service, good coffee, and even alcoholic beverages to enjoy in the afternoon or evenings. There's a rooftop bar on the top floor although we struggled a bit figuring out how to get to it. We tried to go to the top from the 5th floor, but it doesn't work that way. You need to go to the first floor then the far-right elevator only can take you up to where the rooftop bar is. This bar is nice with a great view, but a bit pricey so we only sprung for two rounds. We spent most of our time outside of our room in the central hotel bar near the lobby. The bar manager and staff were super friendly and took great care of us during our stay. We'd definitely be back - but wish the hotel was a little closer to the downtown area of Munich.

We had to change rooms because the AC was not working and no problem they did so right away even though because hotel was sold out the night before they cleaned a room quickly so we could move over. Nice! Only two recommendations if visiting and that is avoid getting a room facing the front of the hotel because car noise seems not stop and why we moved rooms.
