Freising (fry sing) is a small town, untouched by WW II. The town and hotel were used by American forces as a headquarters after WW II. It is charming, easy to walk around and full of decent stores, shops and restaurants. Cobbled stone streets and clean as can be. The hotel is, likewise, clean and sited right in the middle of the main street. Very convenient for your explorations. The staff speaks excellent English and has been very accommodating as to directions and recommendations. Breakfast is served in their own dining room and you can either use the buffet itself, or special order eggs and some other custom breakfast items. You will need to eat lunch and dinner in the town.

Something that impressed me so much was that there was a group of folks that came in late from the airport that missed the dinner service. Just be warned that there isn't really any walkable convenience stores nearby but they do have vending machines across the road for drinks beverages and more. It's Europe, so we should've known, but our non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I think they need to rip out the carpet (the room was all carpet) and install LVP. We had to leave the window open and run the fan continuously to make it bearable. Otherwise, our room was comfortable and spacious. The best part of this hotel is the breakfast. The breakfast buffet is nothing special like it used to be and the server was a little rude and lazy. It is close to the airport and the train station is a five minute walk. If you have to be in Erding, this is probably your best option, but if you don't need to stay in Erding, you might want to look elsewhere.
