This is a fun bowling alley in Gahanna. The lanes are in good shape and it feels fairly clean. The staff is pretty laid back and doesn't really seem to care to be there but had no issues. They were doing some ceiling work in the arcade area but has a small arcade. There is a bar and some classic bowling alley food options. This is a fun evening out with friends or family. read more

Good Times!!! I was with a group and utilized a Groupon and had 4 lanes. The parking lot was full at 6pm. Lots of families and children. I hadn't been bowling in years. This is a very nice comfortable place. Spaces between areas to have bowlers sit and also eat at high chairs and tables. Food from the concession area is good. Just regular bar fare. When you place an order you get a pager and when it goes off the food is ready to pick up. I will go again for family fun. read more

Great bowling alley! Definitely a come back to when we have time. I love to bowl, but it's getting harder when alleys close.

We have been league bowling for 10 years at Gahanna Lanes. The new community lead manager Lorenzo has brought back the sparkle to this center. I don't think anyone else could have kept this center running not only for the general public but for the tenured league bowlers. The one thing I would like to see is more diverse uniforms. I enjoyed when the staff would wear different bowling jerseys because it gave me the feeling that they really repped the brands and could speak to the products. First time visiting in about 6 months. The place was very disappointing. Got put on a wait list for a lane but they forgot about us. The table near our lane was disgusting. The employee at the kitchen was rude and did not want to be there. Only one restroom was working. To top it all off it was a very expensive. read more

We didn't go here to bowl- we took grandkids after lunch for the arcade. Papa (grandpa) is legendary for his claw machine skills and these three boys had never seen him in action. Arcade is nice-lots of games to pick from. I didn't embarrass myself too much playing Jurassic Park with 11 year old grandson lol. Bar and arcade area are very clean. Papa didn't disappoint-won tickets for the boys (used to purchase snacks and stuff), two stuffed things from one claw machine and three huge balls from another on the way out. We probably spent about $40 but well worth it. My husband says we will be back-one game he is determined to beat! read more

Decided to go bowling with my family at the beginning of the year. It was a lot of fun and my family really enjoyed our 3 games. It was a crowded and busy, and there was a 30 minute waiting period. We were able to use their entertainment center with a bunch of games available. Unfortunately, most were not working at the time. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The only issue we had was cleanliness. Like I said, there was a lot of people so it mainly comes down to human decency. In particular the women's bathroom was filthy. But that has more to do with the customers than with the venue, so I don't hold that against them. I could definitely see going back in the future. read more

One of the smaller alleys in Columbus at only 24 lanes. We just started a leaque at this location because its halfway between us and the other couple. The lanes in my few visits seem in good location with good working equipment. They are currently replacing the carpeting so it should look new again in a week or so. Bowling alleys can have good fast food, this will do, the pizza is decent. The location is a little out of the way, but in a safe neighborhood with lots of parking . A nice place. UPDATE 9/30/15 - This lane and Holiday Lanes under new owership. This should be a good thing, will need to give the owner time to see how this works out. The lanes were reconditioned over the summer and that is an improvement. They finally have fixed up the restrooms and have working hand dryers again. Some mechanical issues with lanes this season, but they are working on that. They now keep a cooler of ice water on the bar area. They are currently moving and expanding their game area, adding attention to the FAMILY FUN CENTER PART. I'll update after doing my 2018 summer league here. read more

This is the clutch bowling spot to go to when you find out your other preferred bowling spots are packed out. It pretty much is what it is. You'll have a good time if you want to. The customer service here is like ehh! It's as though the people that work there are like well you are here and you're not going nowhere so here are your shoes and get out of my face. The technology in the establishment is pretty much what your run of the mill bowling spot has. Tvs and movie screens. Some nights they'll have the games on and other times they have music videos playing. The facility is pretty clean as well. The food. Well don't get me started on that. Yikes, bowling is EXPENSIVE! I really did not want to fork out $20+ to go bowling with my husband and son so we took advantage of the other option they offer, glow in the dark mini golf. It is $4.50 a person and WAY cooler then glow putt in gahanna. Downside they did not offer any notepads to count your score and weren't as friendly as at Glow putt. The docor is awesome though, even my husband and I had a blast. they also don't have the full 18 holes but we were all alone the entire time and since we had just played glow putt the week before at the other location we took this oppertunity to just horse around, and just have fun. Amusing how you just feel like a nutty kid when you have the place to yourself and we had a great afternoon. So if the bowling lanes here are fun or too expensive for your taste, go to the back for a round of mini golf, your sure to have a great time. read more

This is a good place to have a childrens birthday party. They offer reasonably priced birthday packages. The packages include bowling, shoe rental, game room tokens, food and drinks with a private party room. Along with bowling, there is a small game room and glow in the dark indoor putt putt. The putt putt is nicely decorated with a buckeye theme. This alley is not as large as some of the surrounding bowling lanes. I believe updates are being made, there were piles of new carpeting in the game room area. Every time I've gone we've had to wait for a lane, luckily the other activities that are offered makes the time go by. I must add that the entire staff is always friendly - the snack bar attendant, shoe rental clerk, and party host were all very helpful. Prices to bowl and shoe rentals are slightly cheaper than other places I've bowled at. I try to go here every week. My family loves to go bowling and play in the arcade. Food is solid. I always grab a bite to eat.

My daughter and I had a great time bowling at the Gahanna lanes. If you're there for a fun day and do t care about your score play on the lanes on the left...they use STRING PINS! After getting several STRIKES the puns return upright! What no strike butneed to have a second ball. Next time we go we are definitely bowling in the center area of the lanes. Every employee I interacted with was very nice (even when my daughter somehow got her bowling ball stuck in the gutter...not really sure how in the world that happens??). We didn't partake in any gaming activities, although the game room was calling my name but my budget said, "HELL NO!" Bowling alleys are bowling alleys. With a few exceptions (all outside C-bus, to the best of my knowledge), they are all a little old, a little dirty and a little sleazy. Gahanna Lanes, though, is ahead of the curve in the Columbus area. It's a relatively clean place. Even before the smoking ban, this bowling alley didn't allow smoking -- a rare but nice touch. The facility is as updated as you can expect. It feels like you're stepping back into the late '80s rather than the late '70s when you come here. Prices are reasonable -- only $4.25 for adults. Shoes are $3. The alley runs frequent specials. Check out their website for their rotating deals. As always, stay away from the gross food and mediocre beer. read more

Great bowling alley! You can pay per person, per game, or there are a variety of specials depending on the date and time you are there (i.e. unlimited bowling for 1 or 2 hours Monday-Thursday before 5PM). Lots of space for groups, and there was football on the afternoon we were there - they had a huge screen over the lanes projecting the game which was nice. I'd say the only negative aspect of our visit was that we were getting hungry, but the concessions wasn't staffed until maybe 5:30-5:45. Not sure if this is typical. Nevertheless, beer was available and it didn't stop us from having a good time. We played the pop a shot too haha! We'll be back - to play some mini golf next time. read more

I had a pretty fun time at Gahanna Lanes yesterday for an office party. Free bowling, booze, and food. It doesn't get much better than that. This is my second time here in the past two years, and as you can guess, not a whole lot has changed. It's fun little place to bowl, and they have nice comfy couches at each lane, not the old plastic chairs like a lot of places. The pizza here is pretty tasty, which some may find surprising. I've had it twice now, and I'd keep going back for seconds on it. Everyone we met that works there were pretty fun and very nice, and they were totally up for conversation. They have an arcade as well as glow in the dark mini golf, but I didn't really get to check that out. They also have darts and pool in the lounge area. They offer a full service bar, which is always nice whether you actually enjoy playing or are stuck at a company outing. It's a bit out of the way, but if you live on the East side and are looking for something fun to do on the weekend, I'd check the place out. read more

This is a fun, enjoyable and clean place to hang out in Gahanna. The prices are reasonable, the staff is accommodating when it comes to asking questions or needing help. The pizza is good. The arcade works and is reasonably priced. A 5.00 game card gives you 50 tokens and most games are 5 or 7 tokens. The glow put put is an added bonus to the location and fun as well. read more

This past weekend, I had organized a family bowling outing with 4 other families. There was a miscommunication about what time they opened to bowl. All of our party (10 adults & 13 kids) arrived at 11am...one hour before they opened. The staff working opened one hour early, without complaint, and all of the employees were friendly and didn't act put out by the snafu. Also, the alley was clean and we had a great time. spent the afternoon @ Gahanna lanes today with my large extended family. first impressions were very good - clean, newly remodeled, fresh smelling, brightly lit. we had the center three lanes to our group. the seating area around each lane was perfect for a group our size but smaller groups would appreciate it as well. Our shoes were even impressive - clean, new, and smart looking. the bar served up cold Buds and the usual suspects of bowling lane food. But what really rocked the joint was the music videos. And they took requests! so we ordered up a nice selection of album oriented rock music videos, drank our beers and got down to the business of bowling. additionally, extra tv screens were strategically placed next to our scroes so we were able to watch the TdF on Versus while we bowled. read more

My best friend planned her son's 4th birthday here. She reserved two lanes for the party to play on a couple days in advance at 6pm. She called this morning to make sure and they told her that she could use the lanes not at 6 like they okay'd but after they had a league play thru. She couldn't find another venue on such short notice so we held the mini party in the arcade. We could only find 3 chairs to sit on and they charged us for the glow put after they messed up. Just went here for the $6 unlimited bowling night on Thursday. Since this is a 5-star review based on only a one time visit, it may be skewed but I really have no huge complaints! Disregarding the odd fact that the actual building has no signage stating that it IS in fact Gahanna Lanes, everyone had a great time. The alley was very clean, bathroom was clean, and they played good music. The thursday night 10pm-2am special is amazing. $6 for unlimited bowling, including shoes. Plus $1 bud lights, miller lights, hot dogs, pizza, and fries. You can't beat that! The lanes have couches and plenty of seating for everyone. We took up two lanes with 8 people, and it was perfectly split without it being crowded. The bar only had one woman pouring the drinks, so that took a little while, but other than that it was awesome. The lanes never had any "technical difficulties", never had to be reset, and programming the scoring screen is actually VERY user friendly. It was easy to change teams, change the "theme", and even change scores if need be. There are a few big screens out in between the lanes playing music videos and the lanes flashed colorful lights so you felt like you were almost in a club bowling - it was very fun for a late night. It filled up quickly though, so if you do go on Thursday try and get there between 10 and 10:30! We got there around around 10:15 and managed to bowl at least 4 games before we left at 1am! read more

They were very unhelpful when our lane froze and did not add the time that we lost that we paid for and just because we are older than 10 we didn't get bumpers I find this very deceiving and wrong. We are terrible bowlers and want to have fun. Getting gutter balls half the time is not our definition of fun read more

The bowling alley is fine - nice, seems fairly clean, my issue is with the concessions. Two years ago we went here. The girl in the concession stand disappeared with my credit card for over 5 min. I then received a message from my credit card company saying someone just bought an iphone on my card. Today, I had two sets of kids with me. Two went and bought $6 worth of slushies, paid with a $20 and received $6 in change. Didn't say anything to the concession man. Two other kids went up and bought $6 in slushes and paid with a $20. Got $6 in change. They complained that that was incorrect and the man said he made a mistake and corrected it. First set of kids went back to complain about the wrong change, and the man said he would need to count his drawer because he didn't remember how much change he gave them. That's fair. After half an hour I went to follow up. He said he counted the drawer and found out he did give them the wrong change and he gave me the missing amt. He made no attempt to find us in the bowling alley even though he asked what lane we were in. I am not sure if he was taking advantage of them because they were kids or not, but that's ridiculous. There is a cash register. There is no excuse for these types of "errors". If you pay with credit card, keep an eye on your statement. If you pay with cash, count your change carefully read more

4.75/game or $30/hour/lane is too high for what you get. The oil was too far down the lanes; the beer is outrageously expensive (3.75 for a bottle of Yuengling Light); the lighting was not great. The equipment was in good working order. With the putt-putt and other amusements, it may be a good place to take your kid if you're flush with cash. But if you're an adult looking for a place to open-bowl, you can do better. read more
