Craft was recommended to me by a friend, but I still checked with references and got honest feedback from their past clients. Fortunately, Craft delivered in every way. I would highly recommend them to others without ANY hesitation. Our project required architectural plans and structural engineering as we needed to remove walls. The timeline Craft gave us was adhered to and weekly communication kept us apprised of what work would be done each week. The crew was highly skilled, friendly, and clean. Since we were still living in the home during the remodel, we appreciated the crew's cleanliness and accommodations. Craft brought in expert craftsmen to build our cabinetry and fabricate our stone; both of whom were willing to customize our kitchen with unique touches specific to our requests. When questions arose, Chris and Jennifer addressed them immediately or patiently awaited our decisions. The two of them are a WINNING TEAM and were always willing to listen to our ideas and brought our dreams to fruition! They truly aim to please and care about their clients. We had them come back a few weeks later to begin with taking out the wall between our dining and living rooms, as well as the fireplace. They were able to get started very quickly, and it only took around 2 weeks from start to finish. Everyone that was in on the project was very professional, kind, and mindful of everything. We have an 11-month-old, and they did a great job with keeping the noise down during her nap times. They were very good at communicating what times they would be at the house and when they left and came back from breaks/lunch. The work that they did was incredible! You would never know that we had that wall or the fireplace in the house if you walked in today! The beam that they added along with the drywall and paint looks seamless! There was a little height discrepancy between the rooms, meaning that we had to remove more flooring than we originally anticipated; however, the company had discontinued that particular line and replaced it with a new one. Ralph called numerous dealers and was able to find us 3 boxes left! The fact that he spent the time to find the flooring for us shows the commitment they have to satisfying the customer! We recently returned from a winter holiday vacation to find our basement completely flooded with…read morewater. The musty and moldy smell was overwhelming. What a way to end a wonderful journey! Fortunately, we had a reliable contractor named Rodolfo who had done work for us before and was able to come to our rescue. Rodolfo and his team arrived the same day I called him to assess the situation. They immediately started working to air out the basement and ventilate the room. Once they had a plan, they began removing the baseboards and folding down the sheetrock to air out the wet areas. While ventilating, they also investigated the source of the leak from the outside, which was caused by a clogged landscaping drainage pipe. They unclogged the pipe and built a new one since one end was completely blocked and unable to pass. With the root cause of the problem identified, Rodolfo and his team were able to restore the basement. Over the next two months, they worked diligently to completely transform our large three-room basement. They installed new tiles and carpets, replaced the baseboards, and painted the walls. They even did all this without making the rest of the house dirty by using plastic separators and sealing off the area being remodeled. Rodolfo and his team are incredibly hard workers and have exceptional craftsmanship. We trust them to take care of any project in our beautiful home. After the basement restoration, they immediately helped us identify another leak in the roof area and took care of the water damage there as well. You could never tell that anything had happened in either of these areas. We wholeheartedly recommend R Flores Construction for any remodel, whether it's large or small. All prior interior work in our house had been done by handyman. I really appreciated the communication from our project manager Marc. He created a WhatsApp chat with me and the incredible designer Jocelyn. They were both consistently responsive to any of my questions or concerns -- and opened my mind to design options. Jocelyn spent time in our home, drafted plans, took me shopping, and sourced all the fixtures. From her spreadsheet I was able to find less expensive options for some items. I appreciated the input and control I had on these expenses. Since we needed to move out, I had a tight timeline for the project -- mid October until Thanksgiving. Marc and the team did their best despite City of San Jose delays with inspections. We were able to move back in before the final inspection. Every member of the team was kind and courteous. Marc also did a great job working with the window vendor that specializes in older homes. I'm rating the experience a 4.5 out of 5 for two reasons. I was disappointed that the medicine cabinet, switch plates, and hooks were initially installed unevenly (it was corrected). I expected more attention to detail. And I was disappointed in the wear & tear that happened on my wood floors as well as the overall dust in my dining room. I was warned that things would get dusty -- but didn't understand the extent and would have packed away more things. WISE offers lots of support with design -- they could also offer as part of their package a full cleaning! I offer this feedback to help others calibrate their expectations. Overall it was a positive experience. I waited several months to post this review until I returned from travel and could see how things were settling after regular use.
