I found this place on Yelp. My daughter has a place in Georgia that I thought this was going to be…read morelike. I called a few days ahead to book. They didn't ask what I wanted or even my name. Maybe they have caller id? I was the first appointment and arrived early. I waited a few minutes before being greeted which was fine because I was early. Grace took me back to a room. I was doing a back and foot massage combo. I had to let her know before we started, because she didn't ask me. At the place in Georgia, you stay in a chair for foot massage and then recline for back massage. And you keep clothes on. I've had many massages in my life. This one threw me a little bit. Grace shows me to room, I get undressed as usual with a Normal body massage. I lay under the sheet faced down per her request. The sheet was thin and I moved the foot pillow but was able to get settled. Grace entered and said oh my! I didn't know what to think, she readjusted pillow and sheets. That was weird and awkward at first. The massage was epic and crazy pressure which I love. When she moved on to back my underwear went lower than I am use to. TMI I know but wanted to be sure to educate others that come here after. I am sure you could adjust if you wanted. At first, I was taken aback. If you could have filmed my face lol. Anyway, once I let that go, the massage was the best I have ever had. So get past being uncomfortable to enjoy the massage of a lifetime. There also may be some language challenges but a massage is a universal language. The technique used may not be for all, the pressure is pretty strong, that's what I prefer. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had late options, so I scheduled myself for 7pm. The location was easy for me to find because it's in the same area as my chiropractor. Fonda greeted me with a smile when I arrived and had me fill out the usual paperwork. She showed me to the room and asked me about the areas of focus. My massage was very relaxing and I could feel a lot of the tension releasing. She worked out a recurring knot in my neck. When the massage was over I received water. One thing I really liked is whatever she used for the massage. It was perfect for my skin and didn't leave me feeling greasy. I'm sending my husband next week and I will definitely be back. She examined my posture from all angles to see if I was misaligned in some way. When we got down to the massage itself, she got right to work on my neck, arms, hands, and chest. It felt wonderful, but the wonderful part was that after a 30-minute session, I felt a 50% improvement in my condition. That has worn off somewhat, but nearly 24 hours later, I still feel an improvement of at least 35%. This was all from one 30-minute session. Gina is professional and extremely smart when it comes to the mechanics of the body. I've only had a couple professional massages in my life, but she is the best. She really helped me. She's punctual and an excellent communicator. Her work space is relaxing and clean. The whole place is neat and tidy with pleasant sounds and smells to create an atmosphere of peace and healing. I noticed the difference from the first session (1 hour). She has a small but very comfortable studio/office in a cozy neighborhood. I felt absolutely comfortable because she created a very relaxing atmosphere in the studio with soothing music, the massage table was comfortably warm. About halfway through her massage, they switched her to a male therapist without asking for or obtaining consent from either of us. That was completely inappropriate and should never happen, especially when a specific request was made for a minor. The environment was also far from relaxing. Throughout our massages, another employee repeatedly ran up and down the hallway outside the treatment rooms, and our massage therapists carried on full conversations with other employees during our sessions. Instead of a peaceful, professional atmosphere, it felt distracting and unprofessional. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, we were pressured into leaving a 20% tip, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Tips should always be voluntary and based on the quality of service--not something guests feel forced into. Finally, I noticed the timing of our massage. The therapist started the session timer while I was still taking off my shoes, as instructed. I tracked the appointment on my Apple Watch, and from the beginning of the service until the end, the total time was only 25 minutes and 32 seconds. That doesn't even account for the multiple interruptions when the therapist stopped to talk and laugh with employees in the hallway. Overall, this was not the professional or relaxing experience we paid for. The lack of communication regarding my daughter's therapist, the constant distractions, the shortened service time, and the pressure to tip left us very dissatisfied. I hope management addresses these issues so future customers receive the experience they are paying for.
