He had made great effort to put everything on line. In Melbourne, the coach bus didn't present in the right time and 42 of us were forced to stay outside the pier for more than an hour. Alan finally arranged taxies to take all of us to the city. When we arrived Rotorua, the land operator didn't get the tickets for Hobbiton which was on the list to visit when we booked the tour many months ago. It really upset almost the whole group. Alan showed his patience to pacify the angry tourists and arranged to the money return. Also he took us to the Blue Spring which was another movie site of Lord of the Rings. I appreciated that I could easily access my documents through the website. I also spoke to multiple customer service reps in the months leading up to the trip, and each person I spoke to was very knowledgeable and patient with my many questions. They also worked with me to book my air travel, which was a big help. The trip itself was incredibly well organized. Our tour guide, Mr. Moh, and tour assistant, Mr. Hesham, helped us feel welcome and taken care of even before our arrival in Cairo. They opened a WhatsApp chat with all of us on the tour about a week before we arrived and were very quick to answer everyone's questions. And they went above and beyond with their kindness, helpfulness, and hospitality throughout our trip. Every day, we knew the schedule, which was key because we packed a lot of sites into a week! We got an incredible education every place we went. I only wish I had asked more questions, as Mr. Moh is an encyclopedia of knowledge. Additionally, they ensured we had plenty of bottled water on hand, especially as traveling to Egypt in May means very warm days. On hot days, Mr. Moh kept us in the shade as much as possible as he shared the history of each site with us; he even rearranged the schedule once so we could visit one of the temples later in the day when it was cooler. If someone wasn't feeling well, they assisted however they could, including stopping at a pharmacy if someone needed some over-the-counter medication. As this was the first fully guided tour I'd ever been on in another country, I was so impressed with just how much time and effort they put into making this trip special and meaningful for all of us, how they got to know all of us, and I'm sure they were doing a lot behind the scenes that we weren't even aware of to make the experience as seamless as it was. It's a lot of work leading a group of 30+ people around a country - and we traveled by bus, boat, and plane on this trip - and I feel so fortunate we had Mr. Moh and Mr. Hesham to keep us on track and having fun the whole time. All the excursions and sites we visited are remarkable. And the optional excursions, like the sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Nile and temples in Luxor, were simply brilliant ways of making a once-in-a-lifetime trip truly memorable. Plus, we not only learned about ancient Egypt, but we were also able to experience modern-day Egypt, visiting a spice shop, a papyrus shop, a perfume shop, and more. I've been raving about the trip since I returned, and everyone has been blown away by the pictures and all we places we visited.
