The Doctor proceeded to tell me his ex patients and her did not get along . She acted so aloof and as if she was doing me a favor. Quite an experience. Never going to this location again. Health Texas did call me to follow up and they were very kind. My past experiences were not like this one.

I had a doctor at the ER that with all the tests done and the same info I shared, he did not give me the right antibiotic. I had a serious infection and high fever for a week and he doubled the antibiotics I had before I went to the ER... yes, and was charged 1k after insurance. Dr. Ortiz Saved another trip to the emergency room or something worse. I would take a good doctor even if it meant having to deal with some issues with the staff, it might just be uncomfortable to be in that position if you are in need of efficient staff. If you are, the manager resolved my issues when they were escalated, she was kind and made sure everything was okay.

They have handicap parking right up front and had automatic opening doors which is very helpful with my mom being in a wheelchair. They have health classes here sometimes, and had a dedicated room for them. The space has an assisted living facility feel, especially in the nice waiting area. The clinic was nicely decorated for Christmas. While I still have my issues with the general Health Texas call system, this clinic offered a pleasant in-person experience.
