The selection of goods is small but well curated, and everything is very reasonably priced - although you're paying for quality so don't expect things like €1 fridge magnets! We got a gorgeous tea towel here - something to remind us of our Paris adventure when we're back home and doing the washing up! We actually popped in twice and spoke with a couple of members of staff who were lovely. Both spoke perfect English, and one also introduced us to her gorgeous dog, Victor, who wanted us to play ball with him! Highly recommended.

The store…read moreitself didn't look too appealing, I actually thought it was a store that sold balls because there were balls hanging on the walls. There is actually quite a few gadgets that were perfect gifts for friends and family back. I ended up purchasing a few sets of Absinthe since they came in packs of 3, a couple of jam gift sets and a few soap bars. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and now that I am back home I really wish I had purchased more!

The gift shops at the Eiffel Tower are managed by the Société d'Exploitation de la Tour Eiffel…read more(SETE). There are several gifts shops, some on the ground level and then others higher up. Lots of cool Eiffel Tower things. I bought a baseball cap and a coffee mug. From the SETE website - what they sell: "Eiffel Tower miniatures and key rings, post cards, medals as well as stationery, clothing, tableware... These items, some of which cannot be found elsewhere, are suited to all ages and budgets." If you are looking to find Eiffel Tower socks, however, well, I had no luck.... You can click on the Yelp link to their website and purchase from there if you forgot to get something when on site. Interesting fact - according to Wikipedia the SETE "now considers any illumination of the tower to be under copyright. As a result, it is no longer legal to publish contemporary photographs of the tower at night without permission in France and some other countries." Another interesting fact - recently (December 2014) gift shop workers went on strike to demand a 300 Euro salary raise (a month?). There are apparently about 50 employees. There are about 7 million visitors to the Eiffel Tower a year.

Writing seems to be a dying art but this store keeps it alive by selling unique calligraphy pens, notepads and albums. It also has leather goods from day planners, calendars, purses to wallets to duffels. But look at my beautiful find! It's a calligraphy pen from La Kaligrafica! Wow! Murano glass too in a beautiful hue of blue. It is very beautiful. I am ecstatic. See the pics on how it reflects off light! I will use it as soon as I get myself back home to California. The lady that helped us (I wonder if she is the owner because she looks absolutely fab!) was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed browsing around the shop. She wrapped my new bundle of joy so carefully. It was artwork just to watch her! There are so many great finds here. It seems like the owner curated everything and it is very eclectic and unique. The items range from simple to one-of-a-kind. Come visit this little corner of Paris to get that one of a kind gift to yourself or your loved-one.

They have a good variety of sets from full size bottles to miniature sets. Some that come with just parfume, eu de toilette or a combination of soap, gels and parfums. I saw that prices ranged from 16 - 24 Euro for the miniature sets, but the prices are also reasonable for single sized parfum and cologne bottles. Yes, they offer cologne for men here and I was really impressed with how well all of them seemed to smell. I ended up buying a full sized bottle for my brother while I was here, as well as gifts for some of my friends. The lady tending to us was really kind, and she allowed us to take our time and even included individual gift bags as well as a variety of samples for us and the people we were buying for. The gift bags alone seemed to be a work of art and we left very happy and content with our purchases. The only problem now is, where will we shop when we run out of products we bought? Maybe that will be an incentive to return...

The best feature by far of this shop is the woman (Catherine) who was working there when I visited. The shop was very busy (another sign of its superiority over other shops in the area) so I had to wait longer than typical to have my purchases rung up. I had no problem with that because I was excited about what I was buying but was very touched when Catherine gave me a free sachet to thank me for my patience. That little show of kindness will be one of my favorite memories of my time in Paris.

I ended up buying a beautiful individually-crafted tote bag for just under 16 Euros, marked down from 22. I love that the bag isn't a tourist souvenir, but more like a genuine, unique French tote. And so affordable! It definitely turned out to be my favorite souvenir on my trip to France, and I wish I had bought more! The store workers were nice and spoke both French and English. They even gave me a few Fragonard perfume samples with my purchase.
