The owners take pride in providing the community with locally grown food which includes pasture raised heritage Berkshire pork, milk from A2A2 cows, grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, free-range eggs, and homemade/handmade products such as soaps and deodorant. I've personally tried their porkchops, bacon and sausage, eggs, chicken and A2A2 milk which is easier to digest than regular milk. You can REALLY taste a difference in the food when it is grown in a super clean and natural environment. The animals are raised on pasture and they are never given any hormones or antibiotics. You can get their products at the Wytheville Farmers Market on Saturdays or at the Abingdon Farmers Market on Tuesdays. This family will deliver whole or half pig to individuals, restaurants and markets. Just call to make arrangements.

It was a Saturday when I swung through, so all of the tourists from the Blue Ridge Parkway were stopping by for their tourist shopping fix. So I don't blame the chaos on the store so much as the tourists acting all rude and entitled, shoving their way around the store. I digress. The deli sandwich I had was very good, and made promptly. I also had a homemade brownie which had the perfect amount of sweetness and walnut ratio to it. I wanted to try the Possum Pie but just get the nerve up to ask what was in it. I mean it couldn't have been real possum could it? They do have limited outside tables.
