This place was one of my favorite stops in Mayberry! It just gives you a great feeling as soon as you see the storefront. It was nicely decorated for Christmas with the squad car out front. Plenty of photo opportunities here! The store has many different things to choose from. I ended up with a bottle of hot sauce for me and a variety of fudge for a gift for my veteran uncle. The store is veteran owned which is nice. The employee that helped me even added a veteran sticker on the gift for me. I highly recommend this place! read more

If you're visiting Mayberry, Bear Creek Gifts NEEDS to be on your must stop and see list. They have all the touristy goodies and TONS of candies and ice creams to choose from. Slip upstairs for a Christmas explosion! I now live locally and bring my kiddos here often for ice cream and other goodies. The owner is so nice and friendly too! This place is such a great little shop on this great Main Street in Mt. Airy. There is such of a variety of great finds, gifts, souvenirs, candy & just cute things . Ohhh and lots of beautiful jewelry too. Spent quite a while walking around the store there was just soo much to see & admire. I truly loved this shop & can't wait to come back. I especially can't wait to bring family & friends when they visit from out of town, because I am more than sure they will enjoy it as much as I did. There is just soo much variety. It's touristy, but also has like the gem finds kind of vibe to it. I can't forget they also sell flavored popcorn & fudge!! Upon entering the shop anyone can be tempted by all the goodies offered. However, the manager/owner of this business was rude and spoke in demeaning manner and tone to his very busy cashier who appeared to be the only one for a time checking anyone out. He spoke in a condescending manner and reprimanded her in Front of customers for something being not up to his standard. I regret that I had already purchased my fudge and wish I would have spoken up for the girl and returned my items. I don't recommend supporting this business solely based on how that manager treated his employee not just once but twice while I was there. read more

Went after we left the Dobson pumpkin patch for our last stop of the day and was very impressed! Very nice store! Has a little of everything for everyone! Definitely will be returning soon for Christmas decor and gifts. Staff were super friendly even though we got there a little late. 10/10 recommend! Looked this shop up online before our trip here----they advertised candy apples --carmel and chocolate ones----THEY HAVE NONE!! I was so disappointed----really ruined my trip here! We found a few souvenirs for the kids but was not as advertised----really don't think u should have things online that u do not even have in ur store! The owners and employees are friendly and helpful. I went in and much to my surprize I found a Dorthoy from "The Wizard of Oz." They wrapped it and shipped it to a sick friend of mine. I love to go there even if I am not looking for something because they are always so cheerful. read more
