He put in some extra hours each day to try to make up for the lost time, although it still ended up taking an extra couple of days past what we had originally planned. However, it was necessary due to the extent of the work that had to be done, and I'm glad he took the time to do it right. Shanks did an amazing job on our floors. They look brand new and the espresso stain is gorgeous. One entire corner of the living room had to be replaced due to extensive water damage, and now it blends in seamlessly with the rest of the floor. One of our other contractors, who saw the floors both before and after the refinishing, was highly impressed with the result, and so are we! The price was a little bit above the original quoted estimate (and I knew it would be because the original quote didn't include repair time), but it was still well within what I expected to pay based on online estimates I'd looked up. I believe it was very fair considering the extent of the repairs that had to be done and the quality of the finished work. It was an investment, but it was well worth it. We wanted the floor to be installed within 2 weeks so we have less downtime to use the court. Paul insisted to climatize the floor then install otherwise it would be junk flooring. He would rather not to do the big job than ruin his quality reputation. He came to our court at least 4 times for this job to measure. He is knowledgable and professional.
