This shop has sugar and spice...with a dash of pink written all over it. Boys are not forgotten…read moretoo, as there are strong blue hues present in the shop too. Carrying the finest and high quality children's and baby's clothing, furniture, toys and gifts, this is a perfect place to start if you're thinking of giving your child a personalised themed bedroom. A room mirroring his personality and identity. If budget permits, you'll have plenty of deco theme options to choose from, to pair to your child's bedroom. From wall stickers which allows creativity and wallplay, my favourite picks would have to be the racing car tracks, princess and the adorable chalkboard which promises hours of fun for the kids. I went hunting for bean bags and came across some pretty ones. Unfortunately they had the name 'couture' on it and came with a price tag of $99. As gorgeous as it was, I doubt I'll be spending that much on a mere bean bag. Expect to pay a bit more here as you are paying for good quality products. Not your average 'Made in China' store, Kidzone appeals to all. My all time favourite would have to be Djeco, a French educational brand. Djeco carries beautiful range of stickers, magnetic puzzles, collages and more..they are a favourite amongst my kids and absolutely affordable. Kidzone truly meets the needs of children and covers playtime, educational, fashion, bedding, personalised products and party essentials.

There is plenty options for every decorating concept you can imagine and they cater for everything - furniture, decor, wall decals, unique clothes and quality toys. I picked up a quality raw single bed with a bookcase head for a little under $250. A lick of paint and it looked great! If you're less price conscious, they have beautiful white two-pac beds. It is a large space that is packed to the brim, so if you're looking for something specific, it's worth asking for help.

A perfect shopping haven for mums like me! They have everything here, from educational toys, Lego,…read morescience tool kits, solar powered cars, attractive sticker books, plushed toys, Star Wars characters to the latest craze- Nerf guns! It's one of my regular toy store when I shop for birthdays, Christmas or the occasional treats I throw in for my kids, when they excel in their school work. The staff are absolutely friendly and seems to know their products very well. They get bonus points from me for carrying international brands from UK, US and Europe. Fans of Melissa & Doug and Djeco products would love it here, I know I do. They have nine stores across Adelaide, check their website for location details.

I hated them with a passion, they were always lame and lacked in imagination and fun. Well, it looks like educational toys have come a long way since then. There's some genuinely cool stuff in here. The big kid in me could have spent a good hour or two looking at all the cool stuff, but I was being rushed by my better half, so I grabbed the coolest thing I could find in my price range and bought it for my nephew, who's not even one year old yet. This shop is really good if you've got young children and you're trying to find good and at the same time, educational (the two seem to rarely coincide in the way that the makers intend - the important ingredient will always be the child's imagination and they way they use what you've bought them), then this shop is great. The staff are really helpful and lovely. I'll be back again for sure.

All Lego fans should report here! Doubling as a shop and party venue, Laygo, easily accessible on…read moreSouth Road, promises hours of fun and delight. I hosted my son's party here and I've never seen a bunch of kids more relaxed, composed and quiet in a party environment. Everyone was so immersed constructing Lego cars, towers and trucks. The party games were fantastic and kept everyone busy from drop off to pick up. I loved how every kid got a special Lego item during 'Pass The Parcel' game. No one was left out, and everyone got a special memento to take home. Party guests receive a party bag with lollies and one Lego character. Apart from parties, they host school holiday activities, corporate events and more! The shop has a beautiful stock of Lego, carrying themes from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Ninjago....you get the drift I'm sure. Laygo gets my thumbs up, will definitely be back for more Laygo fun!

Decided to have a fifth birthday party here close to the date of the review…read more On arrival we were met by our hostess and given an explanation of what was to come. The front of house has a very large collection of Lego for the "child" in all of us and the back of house contains two rooms, one large room for hosting the party and another where the adults can have a sit down and catch up with other parents or check out their Facebook status on their iphones. The Lego Party room is huge. Brightly coloured drapes covering the walls, as well as posters of the different models of Lego both on the wall and hanging from the ceilings, give a very festive air to the whole room. Bring your camera! In the middle of the room is a large rectangular table that caters for about 20 kids. At the back of the room in separate containers and trays are enough Lego pieces to build the Taj Mahal of all Lego structures. It was a great 1.5 hours with even the children you would consider shy came around quickly and starting to immerse themselves in the creation of their own Lego masterpieces! A few games later and a lucky dip and kids all left with smiles on faces. All the kids (and even a few mums and dads) participated in building using Lego and enjoyed themselves. Best thing is that someone else has to find those little bits of Lego that invariably make their way into corners, under chairs and tabled etc. A great day all round, it was well catered and organised.

Located in…read morePartridge Street just around the corner from Jetty Road (about 100 metres down), The Fairy Bay is your one stop shop for everything fairy. They have wands, wings, fairy dresses and for those in the know they even have their own supply of fairy dust. This special brand of fairy dust comes in an assortment of colours including the hard to buy White Fairy Dust. I have heard however that Light Purple Fairy Dust is absolutely the best kind you could ever buy. Fashionable fairies these days are also wearing butterfly masks and they stock a complete range of these too. If your fairies are in need of somewhere to gather for a special birthday party, the people at The Fairy Bay can help you by holding your next party in their special fairy room. School Holidays are also a good time for fairies to gather for story telling and craft sessions that come complete with lemonade and fairy bread.

I don't know much about fairies, but something tells me this store would be any little girl (and…read morethe occasional little boy)'s dream. Think of a fairy. Imagine it. Okay. Now, take all the things about that fairy you've imagined, and stock a store full of them. Now you know exactly what the Fairy Bay looks like. And your house can look like this too. The Fairy Bay does birthday parties. They'll decorate your house to make your little daughter (or son) light up with joy and excitement. It's been open for twenty years. That speaks for itself. These fairies ain't going anywhere. They're here to stay. And though ownership has changed in the last month, the new owner have so far kept everything the same, and aren't looking to change it up too much. If it is not broken, do not repair it, as they say (paraphrased).

There are toys here that let you get creative, like jewellery sets and crystal forests, metal puzzle things, archeology sets and chemistry.
