We went to see what they have for perennials. I asked an employee about some plants to attract hummingbirds. They didn't know what was on the lot so not much help. Person inside was on the phone the whole time. I think their plant material was very pricey. read more

Good people! I didn't water my new plants exactly as the team prescribed, but I own that and my 2nd attempt was a success. They were good people to work with. With the current pandemic necessitating social distancing, I decided to make some outdoor living space and had Galbraith Landscaping do the design and installation for my area. They come to your home and discuss what you want and then draw the plan out for you to see. I also went to the nursery & garden center to pick out the bricks from their inventory. Even this late in the season, they had a great supply available. They even allowed me to bring a few bricks home with me to be sure of my color choice. The brick installation was very professionally done by experienced crew. They even created the curve that I wanted to soften the area from all straight lines. My goal was to create a place to have friends over to dine outdoors and to be able to enjoy the afternoon sun rays from my chaise lounge. I had several driftwood roses planted and a couple of Rose of Sharon bushes and 5 arborvitaes for my privacy hedge. The trees provided the privacy that I wanted, too. The crew was friendly, efficient & professional. I've had a lot of people stop by to say how much they love the work and how great it looks. Employees are somewhat friendly and somewhat helpful but our major disappointment is in the landscaping work they did. The items that were suggested turned out to be horrible for our yard! Where was the expertise? Having moved across the state, we hired them for expert advice for this area. BIG MISTAKE....we could have done better ourselves and actually did...my husband and neighbor did a beautiful job landscaping around a front yard electrical box! Several bushes they planted are totally unhealthy, we had to replace 2 others ( which they tried to claim was our fault) and now we still have Verbenas that are sick looking...we revisited Galbraith's several times for help!!! Sold us a bunch of products that did nothing!! Now its a fee for the owner to come look at them!! I will never recommend to anyone their service! Do your own research...learn about your property and buy your own things. Very, very disappointed in this company which I know has been owned and operated by the Galbraith family for years. You do not stand behind your product...you are not customer service oriented. Every visit for some help was a struggle! So beware if you decide to do business with Galbraith's! I hope people seriously read these reviews before choosing them! read more

Staff was very friendly and helpful both when I called and came in to inquire about a Juniper Bonsai tree!

After multiple issues, including my neighbors's lawn receiving treatment instead of my own, the last straw involved the COVID-19 stay at home order. Upon looking through my junk e-mail in March, I found an email stating they had me scheduled for treatment. When I emailed Joe to state, due to the pandemic and concerns of income, I was not okay with this, he stated it had already been completed. I emailed him twice to ensure my lawn actually received the treatment, as I did not receive a bill and there was nothing in my lawn, as they usually put up a sign. None of my emails were responded to. Two months later in June I received a "60 days late "bill stating they were going to reach out to my credit. I called and was told by the Woman who answered the phone that "I would be taken care of and this would be fixed. "However, when Joe called me he stated he would "waive the interest of one dollar." He was extremely rude and when I asked why my emails were never returned in March, he had nothing to say. When I asked why I had never received a bill before the June bill stating I was "60 days late "he stated due to COVID-19, they were leaving bills on the door. I told him I never received a bill on the door which is why I was not sure they had actually done my lawn and my email was never responded to. His response was the same person who did my lawn last November completed it. I was very upset especially because the woman on the phone told me that Joe would waive the fee because of everything that occurred. Considering the pandemic and all the issues related to loss of income, I cannot believe they did my lawn without actually speaking with me first. When they actually did do my lawn, they never raked up after themselves, swept off the concrete, or trimmed. Not pleased and the attitude of employees does not help. Fall of 2021 a major portion of my yard got attacked by army worms...it was decimated. I had 3 landscape companies come out and recommend a plan for restoration and quote me. I decided on Galbraith's primarily due to their proximity to my home. Their quote was NOT the cheapest..but I chose them anyway. It was expensive! Mistake #1..I trusted them. I should have known better when they had to rent the equipment they used in the restoration. I was concerned about the transition from what they had tilled up and the unaffected area so I called and explained and they sent a couple guys out to "rake" the area. But they didn't re-seed. Mistake #2..they charged me for their re-work. Mistake #3..I paid them...I wanted my yard back. Several weeks later I called and talked to the project manager with concerns about how rough the treated yard was. He assured me it would settle down and they would take a look at it in the spring. Fast forward...Spring 2022. Called and left a message for Joe, one of the managers..3 days later no call back so I called and again and left a message for Joe. I eventually got a call back. Begrudgingly, and with an obvious attitude...he came out and accessed the area and gave themselves a "7 out of 10" on the grass and told me what I should do and then call them back . I guess they accept mediocracy and expect the same of their customers . At this time I consulted a couple other lawncare specialist..never once did I divulge it was Galbraith's "plan" I was questioning. Both experts agreed on a re-work plan but neither with the plan presented by Joe. Once I got my work done..yea my work! I called and talked to Joe again. Mistake #4...expecting Joe to take any ownership of the job he claimed "he" did. Several times I gave Joe, who after I asked to talk to the owner now told me he was the "owner", the opportunity to take responsibility and express concern. Did this happen, not once! His attitude was terrible. After several minutes he told me that our, now heated, conversation was a waste of his time and hung up on me. Quite frankly I might have hung up on me too...but with 40 years of sales and marketing experience under my belt I would have never let the conversation escalate to that point. So...I tilled, I reseeded, I fertilized, I covered in straw and watered the large area's where no grass grew. It's green..but other large areas are still rough as a cob. I'd never recommend them for lawn maintenance or yard restorative services. read more
