Gallagher Masonry did a fantastic job repairing my row home basement walls. Beautiful work, excellent communication, great prices and value for the work done, and very polite and responsible crew. Appreciate this business and looking forward to working with them on another project.

When they were done, it looked like a whole different house. Its beautiful and I'm more than satisfied with how it turned out. I have a 100 year old brick townhouse in Philadelphia and the brick was crumbling when I started to work on it myself. For those that don't want to lose the historic look of a brick home but can't afford to have it repointed, this is the best solution. You would never know that the brick front wasn't original. The work was done quickly and the final product is stunning. I wold recommend getting work from Alston Stucco to anyone I know. See the photos of my red brick home in the photos section.

Later that same evening, he texted that he showed the pictures to his partner and they "needed" another $1000 to complete the job. I responded that for $1000 more, I wanted to get other quotes prior to proceeding. I did get another quote from a stucco guy highly recommended by my builder for $3500. Texted Zack back, saying I wasn't comfortable working with someone who changes their price after a signed agreement. Said he could keep travel expenses and return the rest of the deposit. He claimed he had already bought all the supplies. Who buys supplies when they are told the job was on hold? Anyway, they are evidently going to keep my $500. Fine, I have a stucco guy I can trust and am still $1500 ahead.

I had contacted several companies before, and honestly, most made me feel like I was bothering them. But when I called JustDryBasement, Susan answered--and she was incredibly professional, kind, and helpful. That first impression already set them apart. She connected me with the owner, Elliot, who has been amazing from start to finish. We worked together on three separate projects, and in every one, his quality of work and professionalism truly stood out. First project: Elliot installed a French drain in my basement and noticed damage to the walls, so he recommended and installed a special polyester wall barrier. He walked me through the entire process with patience and clarity. I waited a full year before writing this review, just to make sure everything held up--and I can confidently say, even through heavy rains here in Medford, NJ, my basement has remained dry. His work speaks for itself: solid, clean, and reliable. Second project: I still had high humidity in the basement, so Elliot suggested and installed a whole-house dehumidifier (AprilAire E100). He connected it directly to the French drain system, so I no longer have to worry about emptying water or dealing with moisture. It runs efficiently and quietly--even when I'm traveling, I have peace of mind. Third issue: Recently, I had water flooding in the finished part of my basement. I thought it was the water heater, but Elliot offered to stop by just to help figure it out. And he did--within two days, exactly as he promised. He quickly diagnosed the issue: it was actually the AC pump, not the water heater. Thanks to his advice, I was able to get the original installer (under warranty) to fix the problem. Elliot didn't have to help with that, but he did anyway--because that's the kind of person he is. Beyond his technical skills, Elliot is honest, communicative, punctual, and just a genuinely good person. He always followed through on his word, showed up on time, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Even when I had concerns, he didn't brush them off--instead of just talking over the phone, he came in person to give me peace of mind. I also want to give a shoutout to his partner Phillip, who was also fantastic to work with, and again, to Susan, for being so welcoming and helpful from the start. After working with this company three times, I can honestly say: I highly recommend JustDryBasement to anyone looking for quality, professionalism, and peace of mind. Their prices are more than fair for the level of service they deliver. It's rare to find people in this field who truly care--and I'm so glad I found them. Thank you, Elliot and team!

I can tell you that not only are they the best at what they do, but it also helps to deal w/ genuine people who actually care about their craft, and get the job done right. From being on time to explaining in detail everything they were going to do, it was the smoothest transition dealing with the situation at hand. I don't understand how they don't have any reviews yet. Their craftsmanship is by far the best I have seen in the northeast. They ripped out our whole front and shared steps in a Mayfair row home. Built a new retaining wall and installed steps and also new concrete out in the back drive. If you are looking for concrete work to be done look no further than Luigi and Gabriele. We have recently moved and our realtor couldn't believe all the compliments we were receiving on our brand new front. We even had people knock on our door and ask who we used to get it done. Thanks again Luigi!!

Ultimately they suggested it could be a problem with the stones in the wall. Disciple came out, recommended a strategy of replacing a couple of stones, re-pointing the rest of the area and applying sealant over the whole section. Work was scheduled promptly. The guys were very friendly and professional. The job was finished within 10 days (mortar needed to cure before sealant could be applied) and it looks great. Now we have to wait for a horrific rainstorm to see if that solves the problem.

After another week of no contact, I called back again and spoke to a man named Nathan who told me that he would follow up with me (you guessed it) "later that day or the next". Still no call or text. Very frustrating as it's raining a lot lately and we want our external stucco wall repaired before any water damage occurs. I guess maybe they don't need my business? Can't say anything about their work but this customer service experience makes me question their reliability and attention to detail. Your experience may vary, but this was mine, for what it's worth.

I got some quotes, I didn't like the prices I was hearing, so I kept looking. I called Michael's because they were close by, seemed well-rated...and let's be honest, I have a reason to like the owner's first name! But I was extremely impressed when he came out and took a look at the bricks with me. He walked me through the damaged area, and told me what he would need to do. Right off the bat, he explained a little better than the others what had happened. I felt safe knowing my brickwork would be in good hands. Furthermore, he pointed out other unrelated trouble spots he said his team could fix for me. And the estimate he gave me was more fair than the quotes I got from others who were offering half the work! Michael's came in at a good value as well. On the day of the work, they set up quickly, and they had a small army tackling my bricks, and they got everything done in a few short hours. My bricks look great, my wall is secure again, and the cleanup was done well. Please consider Michael's Brick Pointing. I don't know why I ever bothered to look elsewhere!
