Nothing about our contract was honored, they completely took advantage of us and really, the entire mess led to the downfall of the entire wedding. Everything fell apart. All because of the owners of this venue. Even though we visited the venue twice and thought we knew Chum and Sally, it blew up in our faces. Please, please please. Please, learn from our experience--these people took advantage of us and even mentioned that the contract was a "milk and candle" (milk the customers, torch the contract) to several of our guests. Chum was creepily controlling and kept calling our B and B asking "where the bride was". They watched us say our vows from their windows and doors. Set up was actually where everything fell apart. It was so heartbreakingly bad we can't even look at our wedding photos. Plus, I'm sure many think that Chum especially seems so "Montanan" with his fun little stories (and the fact he owns a ranch and calls himself Chum)? Well, we found out that Chum comes directly from massive family money from out east--his family is Bank of Boston. And Sally? Not authentic either. Her family owns a fortune from catalogues. These two are wildly rich phonies taking massive sums of money just to let people walk on their grass. They do no clean up and provide nothing. Your money directly goes into their already fully lined pockets. Bottom line: our contract may as well not have existed. They broke everything about the contract and we were helpless to do a thing about it. All we are left with is a ruined wedding and complete heartbreak. My husband had a nervous breakdown after dealing with these people. Our one special day never happened. It was the worst day of our lives. And it's all because of the venue owners. One thing that was very disconcerting was that they seemed not to even remember they showed us around once before--if you do use this venue, get everything EVERYTHING written down in emails or recorded on your phone. I was half afraid Chum was getting dementia for all the things he promised and then recanted on. Sally too. This goes as deeply as the very day we chose for our wedding--they recommended a certain day and I booked it and later they claimed not to remember doing so and that it never happened. The barn is charmingly old but very clean and well-maintained. The grounds are peaceful, gorgeous and impeccably manicured. Dan & Nancy are warm and welcoming people and will see that you are comfortable and well-cared for. This is not an all-inclusive venue, but they have a number of excellent local caterers, florists, etc. that they can put you in touch with. Danica, their daughter, was our event coordinator and made sure everything ran smoothly to make for a perfect day. The backdrop for the wedding, which was outdoors, was the Bridger Mountain range and made for a nice setting and outstanding pictures & video. Now for the lodge. Wow, our jaws dropped when we first saw it. A large and beautiful log home that we stayed at, just steps from the wedding barn. Several family members stayed with us and we all had plenty of space and privacy. A fully-equipped kitchen, basement billiard table, and TLC decorating touches all make for a cozy place to spend time. You could rent the lodge separately if you wanted to stay there and enjoy outdoor recreation or winter sports. You will NOT be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed at Bodhi Farms on a Friday night. This was our first time glamping in a…read moretipi and we enjoyed the overall experience. Here's a breakdown of some of our pros & cons. Pros: - The tipi is very spacious and the beds are comfy! - There were heating blankets on our bed which made our sleep even better. - The open air features make a huge difference during the day! - Everyone who works here is incredibly welcoming. - Complimentary sauna time in the morning is a must! - Breakfast was delivered to our tent eight when we were waking up. - Morning yoga classes are open for guests as well (we couldn't make it). - Bodhi Farms is perfectly positioned outside of the city. You still get the rural, serene feeling of camping while being close enough to other amenities if needed. Cons: - It gets HOT inside the tipi during the day. There are fans and you can open the top of your tipi for ventilation but be warned... - So many mosquitos, and not just outside. I hate bugs but mostly ones that will bite me. We had to make a trip to Target for mosquito bands to use inside our tipi. - The walk from the camping area to the bathrooms/shower is very inconvenient at night, make sure you carry your lanterns. - Lots of animal noises at night that can be distracting if you're a light sleeper. - We were right next to our neighbors so we could hear them and they could hear us. Minimal privacy in that way. We definitely enjoyed ourselves overall. My husband has already asked if we should come back for more than one night.

When I was researching for our trip, I noticed they offer a private soak option, so I went ahead and booked this experience for us. 2 hour session on a Wednesday for $175. Not bad when you get the entire place to yourself. They have changing rooms and the bathrooms are porta potties. It was super clean. The hot springs were super hot and the water they spray in one section of the pool allows you an opportunity to cool off. They also had umbrellas set up around the perimeter to block the sun. I'm glad it was slightly cooler today from a rain storm as it ended up being the perfect day! We also ordered some food while we were here. I got the smoked trout which came with a delicious salad, all made fresh from their onsite garden. My kids got the pickle pizza, which they let me try and that was devoured! Demi took excellent care of us! I'd definitely come back here! They also offer live music in the evenings. There was music playing while we were here and it was a nice addition. They also offer onsite camping too. Highly recommend Norris Hot Springs!
