Great spot! This was one of the very first places we checked out in Big Sky when we were on the hunt for somewhere to eat, drink, and catch some basketball games and it did not disappoint. Started off strong with drinks: my hazelnut espresso martini was chef's kiss (smooth, nutty, and dangerously easy to sip). My friends ordered the Alpine Negroni and The Sinnerman, and both were huge hits around the table with bold flavors, perfectly balanced, and honestly some of the better cocktails we've had on this trip. For food, we went full sampler mode and ordered three different slider trios so we could try everything. The unanimous ranking: 1. Trout sliders: shockingly good, super flavorful, and the instant favorite. 2. Short rib sliders: rich, tender, and deeply satisfying. 3. Wagyu sliders: still tasty, just overshadowed by the other two standouts. Between the drinks, the food, and the multiple TVs showing games as well as a trivia night, this place checks all the boxes for a laid-back, delicious, and sports-friendly hangout. We were seated immediately and the restaurant was empty at the time. Our group has the Fries, Bluecrab dip, Bison Loin, and Chicken Alfredo. All were excellent. The fries were a large portion, thick cut, soft inside but extremely crispy on the outside and served hot and fresh. Monday evening, I stopped by for an early dinner. It was a brief pocket of quiet, and I ended up having a lovely chat with the bartender, who's impressively knowledgeable about cocktails. We really connected over brown butter whisky--and they even had a fat-washed version. The Indy Old Fashioned, made with brown butter whisky, date syrup and cardamom bitter, is absolutely worth trying if you're particular about your Old Fashion. As for mains, the trout and bison are their two most popular choices. I went with the trout, which many reviewers praised--and rightly so: well-executed and on the healthier side. The waypoint is such a unique and wonderful establishment and the best part is that it's a bills backer bar! I came here from Bozeman for the first time to watch the bills game and had a great time. It was packed with bills fans and I loved that they showed the game on the movie theater screen where they also show films! They have a full bar and great food menu. I had the falafel and it was amazing. Even if you're not a bills fan, the waypoint is a great place for a drink, dinner or a movie. read more

What a fabulous turn around, from the ole movie theatre to a hopping bar and restaurant as well as theatre. We ate upstairs, make sure you get reservations, this place is busy. Service was quick with a party of 7, it's much quieter upstairs and a great place for more conversation at dinner. Food was fantastic and well as the cocktails. We went to the Waypoint for dinner during the Wednesday night farmers market. There was trivia going on at the restaurant and it was packed! There is also a movie theater in the restaurant which is fun. If you make a reservation, you can sit upstairs which would have been better. When you sit downstairs, you have to go to the bar for drink and food orders. The food was pretty good and everyone's favorite was the wings - they were awesome! The Wayside is a good option in the town center with many options on the menu. read more

Zach is lovely! One the best bartenders I've ever had serve! Perch is located within the waypoint, also known as the movie theater in Big Sky town center. We started with a Moonlight martini that Zach split into two glasses for my mom and I. The flavor of the Bison meat balls were perfectly satisfying. The combination of the Waypoint salad, tomato basil soup and grilled cheese was a perfect light dinner! We finished with the donut holes which were hot and fresh. If you are looking for live music and a delicious cocktail; look no further than the prohibition-glam styled restaurant The WayPoint up in Big Sky! The atmosphere is lively and fun as soon as you walk in. We had dinner, so we sat upstairs which was great and overlooked the mountains and town. While we waited for our food I noticed our server/bartender making a unique drink. So, I asked her what it was and it was a new concoction she created and she gave them to us asking which one was better. We absolutely loved one of them and ordered several rounds of it (I forgot what it was called, sorry guys lol). However, if you want a unique drink these guys can create one for you! We got the BLT and Bison Burgers with tomato soup and herb tossed fries. Everything was so tasty. After dinner we went downstairs and enjoyed the live band that was performing. The bartenders downstairs were amazing as well! He gave us advice on where to hike, what hot springs to check out, and even warned us about bears! The Waypoint's new menu is super delicious! The Trout Spread and Trout dinner were amazing (apparently we were on a trout kick!). Cocktails are always top notch there too. We tried their new on "I don't want no Shrubs" cocktail and it was really good and so refreshing! Great for the upcoming summer season. To be honest we had fun, but I'm just going to say on karaoke night they want to charge $100 to sing to get on a "full" list when in reality it wasn't that full. There were multiple times where the host went up to sing songs. Sorry, i don't need to sing that badly, but i will say you missed out on a good show. Perch is one of the newer spots on Big Sky offering great casual food in a relaxed but nice setting. The restaurant is "perched" above the main bar area serving the theater space. The decor is slate gray and brass accents which lends well to wearing your nice jeans for a date night or going out with friends. The menu is small and we'll executed - exactly what it should be - and prices that are very reasonable for a resort town. There's such a need for this kind of place on Big Sky - something nice enough to feel classy but not so expensive you couldn't go there regularly. We had the falafel with fries and cocktails which were all good. Some nights there is live music in the performance area below and the bar area looks great for dining alone or with a friend or two. You can have the food served by the performance area or bar if you prefer to be closer to the action. The restaurant area is more intimate but can handle groups of 2-8 or 10. read more
