The office staff was very friendly, the guys who completed the work were very professional and well mannered. The price was very competitive, and they did an excellent job on my new roof. The customer service is extremely lacking. I've called the office several times to request a quote to fix our roof and have been told multiple times that someone would call me back. It's been over three weeks and STILL no communication. The unprofessionalism is crazy and they really need to do better. I had all intent of giving them my business but we've decided to go with another roofing company. EDIT: They've contacted me and were super apologetic. Gallop is such a professional company to have work done on your home. I had a Fortified Roof installed by Gallop and they submitted all the Fortified Paper work for me. What an easy process. From Katelyn, Devon, Tucker and Brandee and their whole outside crew, they did an exceptional quality job on my roof for a reasonable price. They contacted Fortified and coordinate the whole project which has to be inspected by Fortified. I will always use Gallop for any work I need. They removed my existing roof in one day and installed the new roof the same day. What a breath of fresh air to find a "TOP NOTCH COMPANY" my HATS OFF TO GALLOP!. Thank you for a such a superior job. Buyer beware!!! I engaged Gallop Roofing to repair some issues with my roof that were discovered as part of a home inspection. This home is not my full-time residence, so I was not able to inspect their work once the job was finished. Since Gallop was highly recommended by my realtor, I paid them for their work once the job was finished. The invoice from Gallop specifically said that they had "walked roof and seal over any exposed or low nailed nails". About 2 weeks later, I arrived and got onto the roof to inspect for myself. I was shocked to see so many nail heads exposed. I also noticed a water leak in 5 different areas. When I contacted Gallop roofing to come to my home as soon as possible to help repair the leak in my roof, and to re-seal the nail heads they had no sense of urgency and placed me #41 on a list. Two weeks later, when I asked how soon they would be able to come out to my home, they said that there were a number of other customers ahead of me and that I was #41 on the list. Attached are photos of the nail heads and the ensuing water damage after a rain storm. After numerous complaints, they have still refused to make things right. I would NOT consider hiring Gallop Roofing unless you are willing to get up on your roof to inspect any work that they do or if you expect their work to be done in a timely fashion. read more

We requested an estimate to replace missing shingles on our cedar shake roof. The estimate was very high but we were assured it was only an estimate. Two roofers come out for 45 min and replace 3 shingles. We were charged the full estimate of $675. We questioned the bill as all the work we were billed for was not needed:disposal Of roofing materials, etc. The owner, Rex Simpson, reduced our bill to $525, we still questioned the high rate and were essentially told too bad. This is an outrageous bill for the replacement of 3 shingles. We will not use them again and will caution those we know to not use this company. read more

We needed to complete roof replacement on a house that we just bought and checked with three or four different roofers. Gallop was very competitive and we trusted them instinctively. They were able to get the roof done in one day, on the day that it was scheduled and even offered to come earlier but that was not convenient for other contractors on the job. At this time the roof looks good, has not leaked, and we are glad that we chose Gallop! read more

Terrible customer service and unreasonable pricing. Workers are very pleasant and knowledgeable but the office is truly impossible to do work with. No one will provide an estimate, even in person after seeing and working on the project first hand, left the job incomplete, the office continually neglects calling you back after they tell you they will multiple times and ultimately their demeanor is very unprofessional. It's a shame because it definitely changed my opinion of the business. read more

Our new cedar shake roof is beautiful. Hoping that that it performs beautifully. Called after hurricane Dorian when all roofers seemed to be bombarded with work. Our insurance adjuster recommended Gallop, so after receiving several bids, we chose them. They were not the least expensive, the different departments do not communicate with each other well. They subcontracted the job to another company and used an employee for a site manager. The job was complete in 4 days, except for the chimney cap that was left sitting in their workshop for about 3 weeks when I called their attention to it. The less expensive shingles were delivered to the job, the areas that I called out that needed special attention were not attended to as I would have liked, the final bill came before the job was complete. When I called their attention to these things they were quickly corrected. All employees were very professional and courteous. My advice is to be on the job while it is being done, otherwise things could be overlooked. They get 4 stars for showing up and getting the job done. That means a lot.
