Because our Mom admired Dr. B's knowledge and appreciated Dr. B's sense of humor, Mom followed Dr. B's advice. As Mom grappled with dementia in her final couple of years, each of us 4 adult children interacted more and more with Dr. B. and her wonderful staff. The physical therapist on staff at Dr. B's office, Kevin, worked patiently with our Mom each week to keep her moving. At every step of the way, Dr. B. was responsive, compassionate, and helpful to all of us. Since Endeavor bought Northwest Community Hospital some things have changed. Since the purchase,…read moreI've used their lab and their emergency room. There have really been no changes to their lab. You can walk in with lab orders and they will take you in the order of check-in time. Their phlebotomists are good, and results come in quickly. As for the ER, they seem to have a lower staffing level. I think part of this is I heard they are no longer a trauma center. If that is the case, I understand their reduction in staff. As with most ERs, wait times can be outrageous. I brought someone in who was in terrible pain - 10 out of 10 on their scale. How much pain you are in doesn't seem to matter in their triage. We waited a very long time before we were finally taken back. Once in an ER room, the service was outstanding. The quality of the nurses and the ER doctor were top notch. When we left, the medical issue was resolved, and although it is cliche, we had service with a smile. Aside from the wait time in the ER, Endeavor seems to have kept the quality of care up to par.

I drove a friend to this office for an 11:30 appointment and arrived ten minutes early. By 11:45 my friend still hadn't been admitted to the doctor. As of this writing it is 1:47pm and my friend is still seeing the doctor. This is completely absurd. I can understand perhaps an hour long visit but anything past that certainly needs to be addressed. If you are seeing this doctor be prepared to cut a large chunk of time out of your busy schedule!

He makes sure to give all of his patients ample time for their visit so they do not feel rushed or pushed out the door. He is also a physician who suggests home remedies and doesn't throw prescriptions at every symptom or problem you're experiencing. He truly cares about your health and well being. Couldn't have been more pleased with the quality of care (thoroughness, knowledge, advice and outstanding communication / people skills - huge differentiator over my prior doctor). The rest of the onsite team I interacted with was terrific too - warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, efficient - all around great experience. Had a follow-up appt today via zoom. Again - great experience. Your model works great for me as I travel quite a bit and being able to get care in different locations in person, via app or video call is super important to me. Everyone knows who you are after only a couple of visits. All appointments are followed up by a thorough report on their site. I had an after hours issue that I reported by phone. The response was almost immediate. I received an email detailing what I should do if my pharmacy was closed overnight. The prescription was ready within a couple hours. So I called for an appointment and was told she could see me on August 18 (today is July 2). I have prescriptions that have to be monitored and maintained, and I also have a very painful issues with my arm. I don't think either can wait for August 18. They are two separate appointments and they won't combine them: one is "to establish care" and the other is an illness visit. Once I see her as a "wellness visit" on August 18, I would be able to "get in quicker" to see her in the future. For now, if I'd like to be seen and monitored by "someone else" who has more availability in their schedule I could do that. Well, I've had a terrible experience with a doctor in Chicago that left me with ongoing medical issues that could have been prevented. So I did my research and selected someone I felt I could trust. I was so very lucky to have that in New Orleans (from where I just moved) and I just wanted that again. I don't really want to see "someone else" that I don't know anything about and waiting 6+ weeks to see a doctor I researched heavily. So while I can't really rate Dr. Boyd herself, this is a warning to those who are looking for a doctor: even though her site says she is accepting new patients, I don't think she really has time for them. Be sure you can wait six weeks before seeing her if you choose her. I get why she's busy -- she's good. But why advertise that you're accepting new patients when you really don't have time for someone who needs you?
