Almost every passerby who we have encountered has described our home as "GORGEOUS", "BEAUTIFUL",…read more"STUNNING," and what they are seeing is the re-stucco work so skillfully done by the specialized teams at One Stop Plastering. I am writing this review on behalf of my wife and myself out of gratitude to Ken and his team of skilled craftsmen for the most amazing transformation of our 80-year-old Mediterranean-style home. We reached out to One Stop and a couple of other companies, but it was Ken at One Stop who returned our call right away and showed up the next day to look at our home. His immediate response set the precedent that One Stop would treat their residential customers as importantly as they would their commercial customers. First off, every team that came to work on our home each day came as scheduled and always showed up early to start work on time. Jorge, the foreman, was always available, either on site or via text, to answer some of our questions. It was great to have someone explain the process to us so that we could understand the work that was taking place. At the end of each work day, the crew would clean up and arrange scaffolding planks so that we were able access the doorways/garage with ease. The first crew came to set up scaffolding all around our home. Then the work began where they power washed and chipped away at the old, peeling paint, which was captured by the canvassing they laid all around the house. Next was the base coat and mesh application, which was applied so evenly and with care throughout the entire exterior of the house. All the damages and flaws that were there before disappeared. We were a bit late in getting a painter to do all the trim work, but Ken was so accommodating and paused work on our home so the painters we hired could do their work. Soon after, a team of craftsmen returned to our home to apply the color-coating in a manner that replicated the color and texture of one of the samples that was made up for us in the beginning. After all the major work was done, Jorge came and did a walkthrough with us and sent in a team to tie up all the tiny details. The cumulative talent of the One Stop craftsmen is most impressive. I mean, these guys repaired our retaining wall, which was hit by cars multiple times because our driveway is so narrow. They even brought someone on-site who could weld! Nothing seemed impossible with this company. I could go on and on about the phenomenal job these guys did on our home. Look no further, I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to re-stucco their home. My wife and I are extremely happy with our "new" home and cannot wait to surprise our family members when they come to visit. Thank you, Ken, Jorge, and every single hardworking and skilled team member who came to work on our home with precision and plenty of care. We appreciate you all! Sherri and Dolores

This is a review of the customer service not the work. I requested an estimate from One Stop and…read morewas immediately told my job was too small. The reason this is disappointing is because I requested an estimate for a fireplace. The list of services clearly includes fireplaces. If they only work on fireplace jobs of a certain dollar amount that should be stated, so people don't waste time sending detailed info and pictures. I gave 2 stars because at least I got the response back instead of being ignored.

Don't even remember how I found Paul Edwards...the BIG IRISH BOSS; I am not only happy I did, but…read moretotally blessed as well. In 1999 I purchased a 5 unit apartment building with full amenities (carport, laundry room, lockers, covered garages)...built in 1979. In 2014 moved back to prepare the building for much needed work. It took me 4 years to find the right contractor(s). You deal with so much bull from so many...it's amazing. Paul stood out...from start to finish. He delivered everything he promised. Paul came to the site and listened to what I wanted and the questions I had; he took measurements and walked around...asked a lot of questions...not one of his questions were: "What's your budget?" Instead, he said he would have to consider the time, manpower, and the project as a whole (if it was workable), then he would devise a bid, send me a copy, and set up a time to go over it with me. Paul was so thorough that when he left I began to hope (worry) he could and would take the job. Paul called me once or twice to clarify the work. He would install insulation, use OSB (instead of plywood), and TyVek (brand). Decision on the siding came down the line (between stucco, APE, and T1 11); also installed brand new double-pane windows. Paul was cool with my choices; he said they are all pretty much within the same range regarding interiors. The bid was sent a week later and we met several days after to go over everything. My bids came in from, $169,000 to $301,000; Paul was in the middle with every detail down to the wire. His bid was so clear and crisp from the Permit application to the caution of placing extra money aside for unexpected problems (dry rot, termites) that are common in jobs this big. It also included all labor, materials, scaffolding, what he did do and wouldn't do (dryVit stucco). In May of 2018...we were on board...signed, sealed, delivered to start July 7, 2018; this gave me time to notify my tenants and let them know they could not park in their assigned spots until the work was complete. Scaffolding arrived on the day and time promised. Paul's crew are THE BEST AND SECOND TO NONE. They worked hard, were on time every day, Monday - Friday 8: am - 4:30 pm with a half hour lunch, and were immaculate. Every day they left the area swept and clean...all garbage and debris removed (including all the old siding). They were also extremely courteous to my tenants and a very fun bunch of happy guys...just great to have on a job like this. The job went really smooth, Inspector was happy and we passed all three inspections. We ran into some dry rot and termite damage; dry rot included 3 beams under steps and deck (rough job), and termite damage was 1 beam (termite damage was under warranty and cost us nothing). Beams with dry rot only added $6,000...mainly because they had to secure the decks on 4 floors to remove the old beams and replace with new (labor). It was a good save and the building is really secure. Decided on same siding, "T1 11" and pre-mix special color stucco on ground level (pictures attached). The bid never changed. Work was wrapped up in mid-August 2018 and I couldn't be happier...so are my tenants. Two important issues: 1). Paul returns and responds to all your calls and texts immediately. 2). He always keeps you informed on what is going on (where you're at, what's next, timelines). That's my review of Exterior Remodeling Specialists...THE BEST EVER CONTRACTOR & CREW!!! **If you are going to do siding, painting, and / or anything that requires scaffolding...bring your neighbors on board. Send them a letter letting them know what you are planning, the work and time involved, and who your contractor is. It shows respect and helps the project along. I did all of the above and offered to clean the exterior of their windows when the job is complete (for all the dust & dirt that flew around). They were all very appreciative and were great to Paul and his crew. **This is up to you...but I treated the crew to lunch every Friday ($20 each), and once in a while brought them some cookies or cupcakes. When they wrapped up I gave each of them a $100 bill with a "Thank You" note. They deserved that and more. **Read your contract CAREFULLY. Paul is honest and thorough...but others (if you don't use Paul) have loop holes that are going to protect them...NEVER YOU. Paul is fully insured and explains that during the contract signing process. (((((Pictures attached)))))

They…read moreimpressed, whether it was with the handling of inspections and inspectors, the transparency with financials, or the simply trade itself, John Shaw and his team were always on top of our renovation. Professional, respectful, and highly communicative, he was always there whenever we needed him, by text, phone, or in person, if we needed reassurance, advice or progress reports he always seemed to be right on the ball. It's hard to communicate just how important this is to keep the blood pressure down while undertaking something as life altering as a major home renovation, but we always felt Fahan had it under control. Our project was completed on schedule, 7 months to do a new kitchen, master bath, staircase installation, family room and deck, plus electrical and lots of small detail work around the house. Seven months is really something considering how easily big renovations like ours can go off the rails. Horror stories abound, and we, quite literally, had none. What a huge relief. In terms of costs, Fahan was transparent and upfront with us. They estimated and invoiced all expected and unexpected costs up front, and clearly stated any potential overruns. There were some, but none that we felt were from left field, and for each one we were given options to keep in line with what we were comfortable with. We understood and signed off on everything before anything moved forward, with a comforting degree of transparency. The only downside we could see was that the pricing tended to be high. It's not entirely clear however if this was due to the current economic conditions of '22-'23 or if it's just what quality work and workmanship costs. But as they say, you get what you pay for. Overall, we felt well-taken care of throughout the process, like there was an insider who knew the business, the pitfalls and the tricks. "I trust them", were words we uttered more than once. Most of the time we weren't even at the house, only catching up on the progress on weekends, but we always knew that the work would get done and with little to no issues along the way. THe house turned out amazing. We really couldn't be happier with the work they did. Fahan's just a quality outfit, contractors and subs, that you should trust with your house too. Just top-shelf all the way. Two thumbs up.

We hired Fahan for a number of projects at our home in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco: building a new deck, extending power and plumbing to the back yard, replacing our leaky roof, providing access to the new deck from our bedroom and a number of other misc projects inside our home. All of these projects were completed on time and with superb quality. John was incredibly friendly, professional and responsive throughout the whole process. He was extremely thorough: from working with the architect to co-ordinating with all the inspectors, to introducing us to all the members on his team and what we could expect from them on a regular basis. He managed the whole project effectively by providing us with timely quotes, invoices and being diligent about addressing any follow up questions we had. If there were any unforeseen issues with the weather or supply chain issues, John kept us informed and worked around each of these issues while keeping the project on time. Every single day, his team would show up on time and work diligently while keeping us posted if they needed anything. When we wanted something updated or changed, they obliged us immediately. What was particularly impressive is that they pulled off a number of different projects working across 3-4 different groups of people! I will definitely miss them around our home. And will reach out to them we need anything built or fixed moving forward.
