I have to say Im really impressed with Ivan and his crew. I found them on Yelp and had Ivan come down to get a quote to take a dying tree down and he was very reasonable. He beat out all the other people I had come down. What really stood out was he was the only one to come to the quote fully branded out with his truck and shirt logos. I would have used him even if someone elses quote was a little lower. He felt the most professional and listened to what I was saying. We walked the property and I mentioned that I had another tree to be serviced later on because of budget and he said since he would be here already he would do it at a great price. When they got here they accessed the area and decided to go around the small area to get to tree. It was tight but they were able to get the truck in the spot and without breaking a fav branch on another tree we have holding a wind chime and bird house. The spot where the tree is/was is really tight. The house and sunroom less than 10 ft and the hottub less than 4ft from tree. They were able to drop down the branches with precision and not destroy anything. In my head I kind of expected something to get broken but they didnt. They brough 3 trucks, and a giant wood chipper. They layed down giant plastic panels to drive on the grass so not to leave tire tracks and also used them to protect the hottub. The guy in the bucket was like a surgeon cutting down and dropping the branches to the guys below. They all head headsets on so not to be screaming at each other for directions. As he got further down the tree he started using a rope to control the fall and drop of the larger pieces. I cringed each time a piece was cut because you can tell how heavy they were but man, they are good. The guys were all on point with their communication and always ready when the heavy branches dropped. After they were done they cleaned up everything to a tee and it only took a few hours for them to finish. I thought we would be there all day. On another note, those guys must be strong as hell. Not only did he respond to my yelp inquiry within minutes but he showed up to give us a quote exactly when he said he would and followed up several times after until we were able to pick a date for the tree work. I have worked with many different types of contractors in the past and I think it's safe to say the toughest thing is always communication and tardiness. Not with Ivan. He responded to all of my texts, answered every phone call and showed up for every appointment either right on time or earlier!! After attempting to get a couple of more quotes from other businesses for comparisons sake, I got tired of waiting on them and went with the responsive one. As for the work itself, I had no idea what to expect but already had such positive interactions with Ivan that I was confident he would do a good job. Well he far exceeded my expectations and did a fantastic job. With a crew of just 3 people, they were able to chop down 2 huge trees, trim back a whole bunch of high branches hanging over our pool, cut another large tree down halfway (I specifically requested this so we could keep a hammock line tied to that dying tree and he remembered without my having to remind him!) and chopped down trees for my neighbor as well in just 4 hours. And like true professionals, they cleaned everything up after they were done. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. If you need tree work done in the areas that this business covers, do yourself a favor and contact these guys first. Angel Galvez provided very competitive pricing to trim a very large tree and cable a huge trunk as well as treat a gash in the main trunk and to trim a good number of trees lining the driveway. He and his staff showed up on time on the date scheduled and completed the work in approximately 4 hours. They were polite and professional. Galvez Tree Service has all of the required equipment [in excellent repair I might note] to handle virtually any job. The men executed the job wearing their safety equipment. They treated the property with respect covering the lawn and making sure that the tree limbs and debris did not hit the house or any of the bushes. Excellent work. Ivan responded to my request within an hour. He came to give me an estimate and we made a deal to cut down 3 trees and trim one upfront. All those trees were badly damaged after tornado couple of years back. His team showed up early morning as we agreed. His crew team worked with professionalism and knowledge of tree removal. First-time customer and a happy one! We had a dead tree on our NY property, overhanging our covered chicken run, so it had to be carefully dismantled to avoid any damage. The skillful crew (and the bucket truck) made short work of what I thought would be problem task. Galvez Tree Service did a great job with my overgrown birch tree that was growing too close to the fence and chimney. They did an overall cleanup of the tree and it looks balanced and the threat of damage to the house was removed. They had a wood chipper and carried away all the trimmings, and even used a leaf blower to remove the sawdust from the front porch. Great service. read more
