Don't let this small exterior fool you. This pizza parlor is bigger than it appears and talk about delicious. My niece ordered a small pepperoni pizza with 2 types of pepperoni. I had a gluten free pizza which was phenomenal. It's not always easy to get good gluten-free pizza, and this one is a new favorite. We were passing through Concordia and wanted pizza to take to the hotel. We are so thankful we found this gem in Kansas. The crust is great, loaded with plenty of bacon, cheese, onions and hamburger and cooked to perfection. The staff and manager were welcoming and provided awesome service. This place in out-of-the-way Concordia, KS is the epitome of Kansas kindness. Had pizza there a few days ago and thoroughly enjoyed great pizza. unfortunately I left my purse there which I did not discover until we were many miles down the road. I called and they immediately took my information to mail to me. When I got back to them to pay them for shipping, they insisted on paying for it. Gambino's pizza is usually one of our favorites. First time visiting Concordia's restaurant today, bad mistake. I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and my man had the Italian sub, we also order cheese pizza sticks. It tasted ok, but we went to Walmart right after and I headed straight for the restroom. Not a good situation. Could not finish shopping, left early (and I live an hour away), my stomach was so messed up. Got home and had to head back to the restroom, as did my man. Our stomachs have felt terrible since. Will not go back to this establishment. Do not recommend this establishment. read more

After reading the reviews with the most recent ones being more favorable than some of the older ones so I decided to give Gambinos a try. I must say the older reviewers were more spot on in their assessments. The food was average at best. I was only going to be in town one night so I got the shrimp Alfredo and a deluxe mini pizza. The Alfredo had a good taste but the shrimp only last 5 bites and tiny. The pizza had to looks of a delicious pizza but wasn't close. This was the most friendlyist place I have seen or visited in a long time. I had the ham and cheese, it was delish! My husband got the meat lovers and couldn't stop raving how good his pizza was! We got the very cherry dessert, it was so worth it, warm and yummy. Way to do a great job, I am very picky when it come to food but this was an amazing! It's hard to believe that a one pizza restaurant town would have such a mediocre offering. The crusts are are poor and probably not made fresh daily. The toppings are few and the sauce taste like it is from a can. All in all I would say that this pizza shop is on par with a Walmart frozen pizza. It's really sad that there doesn't appear to be any TLC or passion behind the pizza making process. It's just sauce, dough, and toppings. No pizza can be great without a great crust and no crust can be a pizza without a great sauce. The toppings are secondary and any kind would make a great pizza if the first two were great. No wonder that even on a Saturday evening the restaurant is empty. Such a shame. read more

I'm not sure how a town of 6,000 people is home to such a darling pizzeria. We stopped through Concordia on a fast-food-free road trip from central Nebraska to the Gulf coast in TX, and this restaurant was our first delightful Yelp-assisted find. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a family-sized salad. Both were totally adequate and filled up our family of four nicely (including a 3 1/2-yr-old and an 18-month-old). The building and decor are what makes it a gem in the KS prairie. Beautiful hardwood, great paint colors, intimate lighting, paintings on the door panels, high ceilings, and hilarious mannequin legs hanging from the ceiling in the men's restroom. In the barely-above-zero temps that day, we didn't venture out to the beautiful patio in the back, where it looked like there was also a party room. Well done, I want to visit Concordia again soon! read more

The food was very tasty. We had multiple items and all was good. One thought her fettuccini Alfred tasted like American Cheese but nobody else thought that. Jalapeño Ravioli appetizer is worth trying. The garlic cheese bread is typical of most Italian restaurants. Mobster Pizza is very good. I had a mini sized pizza and shared bread and ravioli appetizer and I had plenty to eat. Maybe even too much. The garlic bread you get with your entree is different from the bread appetizer. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. The non-alcoholic drinks are self serve. It is very casual dining. read more

Don't be fooled into thinking this is a local family run business. It's a small franchise based out of Wichita "Sauce Brand Inc." I was here on business and given the limited culinary options I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered the lasagna and house salad. The server pulled my plastic box salad out of the refrigerator and handed it to me on a plate (still in the box) and told me the silverware was around the corner. It to 20 minutes to get the lasagna. With the long wait, I started to think "Well, maybe it's taking so long because it's made fresh." I was wrong. First, it was smothered in so much sauce I could not even see the lasagna. Second, the sauce was awful. It tasted like a low grade pizza sauce out of a can that they added some type of meat to. (I never could determine if it was ground beef or some type of pork sausage.) Third, it came out piping hot, however the ricotta filling between the layers of noodles was cold and raw. Usually a ricotta filling has raw egg in it. It clearly was not cooked all the way through. I took two bites and left. I did not tell the staff. They were all young kids working there and were probably doing the best with what they have. But if the owner of this restaurant reads this review, please work with your staff on food presentation and quality control of what's coming out of your kitchen. read more

The thin crust pizza was good with plenty of toppings. The staff was friendly and helpful, but could have checked on the table more often. The decor was good. The napkins advertise getting a franchise, so it is obviously not a single location, but that didn't detract from the good food. read more

loved everything about this place. It was my first experience eating at Gambinos and it was amazing. The pizza was some of the best I have ever eaten and trust me..I have eaten alot of pizza. It was just a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. I live 2 hours from Concordia and would drive there again just for the food. Employees were all friendly and very attentive. We stopped here on our way to Wichita from Wisconsin. What a pleasant surprise! Very nice place. Roomy, sports channels plays on several TV's, self serve beverages, nice staff. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I'm only a fan of frozen pizza dough at home. A pizza place named Gambino's Pizza should make their own pie's. read more
