He tired to reschedule for later that day at 3/4pm but that didn't work for me so he said ended up coming out within the hour. He also told me he wasn't licensed which is a huge liability for the home owner. We are doing an entire backyard Reno with a decent budget so it wasn't that our job wasn't worth while. Updated: i'm genuinely sorry for the loss of your family member! I would hope though that communication would still remain open as a simple text message to update me would have taken less than a minute and much faster than the time you took to respond on here. - i'm not mad at all so I'm not sure why you put that in your response but when I was searching for other contractors, yelp, put your company right in front of me and asked me to review it. It wasn't something that I sought out. So I left an honest review of my experience. I completely agree with other contractors being licensed and having horrible reviews. Your reviews looked great, which is why I called you in the first place. Great craftsmanship/ reviews or not, a homeowner is still liable if someone on the job gets injured and that could have potential to ruin someone's life in a lawsuit. It Has nothing to do with the quality of work but just liability in general. The only thing that was questionable is how long you've been in business and are just now getting your license. That didn't really add up to me, but I wish you guys the best truly and sorry again for your loss

I recently hired Rock Solid Concrete to pour an 8x12 concrete slab in my backyard for a shed, and…read moreworking with Charlie was one of the best contractor experiences I've had as a homeowner. Before finding Rock Solid, I actually hired another concrete contractor because their quote was a little cheaper and they had decent reviews. Unfortunately, that decision ended up costing me time and frustration. The contractor never came out to look at the site beforehand and relied only on a photo I sent. When the slab was poured, it ended up several inches out of square and badly sloped, which made it completely unusable for placing a shed on top of it. Thankfully I was able to get my money back and have it removed, but the whole experience reinforced something many homeowners learn the hard way: the cheapest quote is rarely the best value. That's when I reached out to Charlie at Rock Solid Concrete, and the difference was obvious right away. Charlie came out in person to survey the site, explain the grading and prep work needed, and walk me through exactly how they would make sure the slab was square, level, and reinforced with rebar since it would support a structure. On the day of the project, Charlie was involved from start to finish. He checked measurements, supervised the crew, and sent photos and updates throughout the process so I could see each stage -- from forming and rebar placement to the final finish. The professionalism stood out. The crew respected the property, kept the area clean, and worked efficiently. Once everything cured, I checked the slab with a level and it is perfectly square and perfectly level, exactly what you want when placing a shed or structure on top.
