For the second year in a row, I've booked Game Night Out for my team's end-of-year activity. And for the second year, I'm so happy that I did! I can now say that GNO is consistently a great company to work with. Booking was a breeze, and they handled all the tech of bringing us on Zoom, breaking us into different Zoom rooms and using interactive game elements. And the games! Since this was our second time, they had all new games for us to play that were engaging, challenging in the best way and kept the fun going. BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE! We had so much fun with our group of 8! Food/Drink: You can bring your own food but I would recommend eating before hand or bringing more snack foods as opposed to a whole dinner. You can order pre-made cocktails here, wine bottles, or beer cans. You have to finish all your alcohol and cannot take any leftovers home. When you arrive you get checked in and brought to a room which looks like someone's home (which I loved!). We had time to order our drinks, say hello to each other, and use the restrooms before the games started. We played a total of six games which were all fun and a good mix of old school board games with newer games you probably have not played. We were split into two teams and it fulfilled my competitive soul. A HUGE shoutout to Ben and Rio for being amazingly funny hosts who just went with the flow and our vibes! Our group can be chatty and hard to handle sometimes and they did such a great job keeping us paying attention and moving through the games seamlessly. Such a fun and unique place to host a birthday party in Chicago! Recently went to game night out to celebrate my friend's 25th birthday. I was really really excited when she planned her birthday here, because I actually wanted to host my birthday there, but there was no availability on my selected date. The staff was really nice and thankfully patient as majority of the group was late. When we finally started playing the games, I appreciated that the staff hit the ground running so that we could make the most of our time. They explained the rules and goals of each game very clearly, and I loved that each game had all team members engaged the entire time. I love a good competition, so my competitive side was definitely shown throughout the night. There is plenty of space to serve food and drinks, along with lots of space to mix and mingle before and after the games. For the games that we played, there were some that are game night classics such as heads up, but then there were other games that I had never played in my life before! It was also really cool that some of the games were focused on the birthday girl, and Putting the teams against each other to see who knew her best. Our team received an email breaking it all down with proper links to boot. Since they're based out of Chicago, we had to go strictly with a virtual format, which I was initially hesitant to do. Once it came down to gametime, it was a blast and time flew. The incredibly witty hosts did a wonderful job in managing the flow and transition from game to game and did a great job of bantering with all the participants. THEE trivia and more night I needed with the bestest co-workers a person could ask for! Our boss arranged a wonderful 2023 going into 2024 virtual experience with game masters Annelise and Collin. We broke out into classic breakout rooms via zoom fashion #2020sRealness and had so much fun! I truly forgot how competitive I can get and had to reign it in lol. We split up into four teams of mostly 4 and selected fun team names. Music trivia is/was definitely my jam and probably my favorite category. Being a lover of all genres from 80s to Country to RnB to Alt Rock and Synth... Put me in coach, I got this hahaha.... We got so close in the last round!! And the way everything just flowed, including all the fun and laughs.. Was the best part of all. Pictionary-esque, true or false, multiple choice... The options are endless with Game Night Out and all you have to do is enjoy the experience. I can't believe how fast 90 minutes went by, I almost didn't want the fun to end. Grateful for Emily H. What a cool way to do team bonding! I visited with my work department and this was such a fun way to see each other play to our strengths, get competitive, and of course laugh a lot. The location is a bit hidden in an old shopping center/mall type of space, but very cool inside. They have it designed as a living room/kitchen on either side of the hallway, and ask that you bring in your own snacks for the activity time. We had so much fun, each game was delightful The hosts gave us plenty of time to get settled before starting game play. All game instructions were clear and we had a blast! The final game was beyond hilarious and was explosively fun! The kitchen had plenty of fridge space, plastic warehouse, napkins and plastic wine glasses. Everything was well sanitized and the space was just right for our group of 24. Bathrooms are just a small adventure away from the room. If there were 10 stars, I'd give them. First and foremost our hosts Brian and Gary were amazing. I was expecting the hosts to just keep everyone on track and introduce the games. They were half the entertainment. Truly felt like a little improv show. The space was great. This place was highly rated so we decided to try it out for a birthday celebration. We brought alcohol and snacks which the hosts gracious helped us set up in the kitchenette and put drinks in the fridge. Unfortunately, due to Covid you can't eat or drink outside of the kitchenette and must sign a waive and wear a mask to play. Our hosts were Alex and Sean, both very funny and energetic game hosts. We had a few late guests which shortened our game play but still allowed us to play each of the games. I think the experience was overall very fun and entertaining but I gave it 4 stars because it was very expensive to do with a group of friends. I think this is more geared toward a coworker event. Most of the games we played were games like catchphrase or Pictionary where you have to draw or describe something and your team has to guess. Which I feel like is something you could facilitate at your own game night at home. They of course had some fun twists and props, but in general it's probably better suited for either a very large group or a coworkers event. It was 6 couples (12 people max) and we were divided into teams for an epic game night battle. I won't give away the games, but they were fun. The host was fun, funny and made the games go quick without any awkward Zoom silences. I saw on their website that it's about $200 for the 1.5 hour session, and they do ask for gratuity for the host (not required). There's not a ton of interaction with your friends before, during or after the session, per se, as they end the Zoom session at that hour and a half, but afterwards we all jumped on our own Zoom and had some fun and connected. Overall, I'm sure it depends on your host, but seemingly they are all funny and know what they're doing as this seems to be a popular endeavor. You pick times via their website, as well.
