Two happy campers making someone jealous that we were right outside their favorite store.

I love this place. I might love it too much. We have been known to drop hundreds of dollars here. I just really appreciate the demo tables and the used and of course the section of mystery games like Unlock. And RPGs in the back I got this Labyrinth book RPG which was the most fun party I've ever hosted. Also so many puzzles! But right before vacation or a weekend away it's good to hit this place up in case of a rainy day or something to do at night.

Hello fellow Yelpers! The number of board games that we've bought from here is uncountable at this point. The staff are so freaking friendly and helpful. You tell them what you are looking for and they will give so many great recommendations. Here's why it's an easy five stars for us...they practice what they preach. When they recommend games they will tell you whether they have played it or not and why they like or don't like it. 9 times out of 10 they have played it because the staff hosts their own game nights to test out all the games! How freaking cool is that. So glad they continue to expand plus they always have some games out to let you try and the selection is expansive. Is the price cheaper than online? Not always, but the price difference is usually only a couple of bucks. Plus you can earn points to get discounts, but they have their amazing staff and local store to support. I always say support local when you can and this place deserves it. Stop by have a hoot, see if you can try to not buy something haha. If you're strapped for cash and an addict to board games like me, sometimes buy online sometimes come into the store and support. I see this store as quintessential Pittsburgh and hope it's around for ages to come! Plus locations great since if you get hungry or want a snack the food in the area is some of the best! Only downside? Parking sucks depending on when you come, but that's standard Squirrel hill Thank you so much for reading, stay safe and well out there. Thanks for being...YOU! :)

On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Games Unlimited is an array of snacks! Step through their sliding glass doors and discover a world of board games. While we were there, they had a few games out to demonstrate if anyone was interested (we played a round, and it was a fun way to experience a game before making a purchase decision). No bathroom I could see, but they did have a water fountain with bottle filler. Another nice option is their used games shelf where you can find family favorites for a discounted price! Parking is paid on the street, but you can find free street parking if you drive around the block.

Overall- Good collection of board games. You will find both new and used ones. Price - I found the prices for some board games higher than what I saw on Amazon/Target. I think it's fair for the kind of service I got. Staff- Very very helpful staff. They are also very knowledgeable. They gave some really good suggestions/insights for board games. Parking- On street parking is available.

Excellent game store. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. If they aren't too busy they will even show you how to play some of the games they have. Definitely a great place to look if you want to try something new. Good selection of used games and games for rental.

Great game shop with a large assortment of new and used games, figurines, and such. Engaged staff and loyalty discounts are a bonus.

I've also never heard people talk about board games so passionately the way the gentlemen in this store did.

A lot of people will describe this place as a UFO, I want to disagree here with that. It's more along the lines of a military fighter plane. That's not an arrow on their sign, that's the plane. I do see how people say UFO, looking like it's out of 'Flight of the Navigator' and all. When you finally pull in and park you are immediately greeted with toys. Out front of the store they have a few outdoor games set up for use. This theme continues inside and you find out why once you enter. Upon entry to the store you are told by the employees (mostly high schoolers or college kids) that you are welcomed to play with anything that is already opened. There are a lot of things opened, so you could honestly spend your whole day here discovering the toys. I was under the assumption when I arrived here that this place held old school or vintage toys. That is my fault, I thought that this was a throwback store, but by visiting here I now know differently. There are toys in here that are nostalgia inducing, but a lot of what you see is cutting edge and up to date toys. Every single type of toy you can imagine is available. Puzzles, boardgames, sports equipment and much more can be found in here. I had high hopes at finding something for upcoming birthdays, but actually ended up getting myself a boardgame and a magnet to add to my collection. Was it worth the stop, yes. Is it worth all the hype and a trip out of your way, not really.

Or a B52 Bomber? Or a bomb shelter? I'm not sure I ever figured that out. But inside, it's a kids dream. My twins ran all over, played make believe and rode tricycles through the aisles. The service was friendly and so helpful. All of the staff went out of their way to show off the toys and give suggestions on what would work best for my kids. The value here is also great. The kids managed to twist my arm and after I said they could get just one toy, they managed to convince me to get a bunch for each of them. Am I a complete pushover parent? You better believe it! Overall, this is a place you must visit if you're in this part of Pennsylvania with kids. It was a major highlight of our road trip.

Granted they apparently haven't been open long and have some definite bugs that need to be smoked out if they want to rival Eide's, New Dimension Comics, or Phantom of the Attic. The old B&W store never topped Eide's Entertainment in terms of comics, but they at least had a respectable, if not vast inventory, not to mention model rockets, trains, and related items on the ground floor (comics and games were in the basement). This latest version of the long-running shop is merely two unkempt, poorly lit rooms featuring nothing but comics and gaming merchandise. Their comics selection is limited to new releases and older issues that go back no further in time than the 1980's. Also, the back issues I did see were packed way too tightly into the dirty, worn longboxes, had no backing boards in them, were in dusty, moldy polybags, and were low-grade condition-wise. None of the issues I saw were high-demand or premium either. Nor were they graded. New comics and recent back issues were stacked in baskets that lined the walls, meaning you had to awkardly lift them out one-by-one to see which issues were underneath the ones you didn't want. One plus about the new B&W is that they run specials on recent back issues that can get you 50 comics for $30 in a bagged set. New Dimension does this, and I wish Eide's and Phantom's would follow suit. Unfortunately, you can't open the bags to see all the issues that are in the sets, and there's nothing telling you what all you're getting (ND will list what's in each set on the pricetag). I'm hoping B&W improves since we could always use another comics shop in Pittsburgh, particularly Downtown, but based on my experience, I have a feeling they aren't long for this city. When the gentleman minding the store was too busy phoning a friend to answer a question I had, it left me with little desire to return. P.S. Kay found a bushel of Hellraiser comics that she wanted to purchase at a bargain of a price, but being that B&W only accepts cash, she had to put them down and buy them elsewhere (Eide's!). Way to lose out on some commerce, guys.
