I was able to buy it online and go into the store to pick it up! They were super fast. I went into the store and let the associate know that I had an item I ordered waiting for me and they gave me my order almost instantly . I told the staff that I had been looking for this item for a while and they let me know that they had another location extremely close may have some more and they offered to phone them to ask them to put it on hold for me. They called and when I got to the other location the item was waiting for me behind the cash. Both stores have great service and a wide array of items. We were exploring Kerr Street when we came across Lords of War. The store has a ton of essentials…read morefor miniature painting. They have models from Warhammer, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and Marvel. There were a ton of accessories like paint brushes, model paint, glue, and related tools. It was a busy day in the store. They have a few well lit cubicles that served as stations for painting and model building. They were offering a free workshop that day for kids as part of the Kerr Street Kid Fest. The employees were patiently helping kids with their first minis. There is an area in the basement of the store for games as well. It's near that they had these two areas separate to keep it accessible to folks new to the miniatures. There are some board games and trading cards (mostly Pokemon) available here for sale but the majority of the store was for mini hobbyists. The pricing is actually the same or a little cheaper than the official Warhammer stores for things like primer and paint which was awesome to see. The store seems to be really committed to building a community. They have their own Discord server for customers to keep in touch. They were really busy with the extra traffic from the festival so we didn't get to talk much to the employees about the store events. Hopefully we can learn a bit more from them on our next visit.

They…read moreconstantly have sales and coupons, which usually bring the prices down to just about what they should have been in the first place. The customer service is not the best. The staff often doesn't know the stock very well, and there is rarely anyone in the aisles available to assist. I come here when I can't find a craft item anywhere else. I can't deny, though, that Michael's is my last choice.

I asked for some help (a few times actually) and they were more than willing to look around the store for me. I also liked that they let me use more than one coupon - won't say which person let me because well, I wanna keep doing it obviously! Haha! I like the location of this store also, it's in an area with a bunch of other department stores and it is easy to navigate around the plazas. I basically spent a good majority of my day in Burlington looking for wedding related items in multiple different stores here! I always find what I need at this Michaels and I will certainly be coming back again! I like it better than my regular location in Ancaster.

Kate was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I had to return later in the day to make an exchange where I met Linda who processed the return and purchase of a new item. Linda had excellent customer service skills, and even helped with better pricing on my purchase. She was engaging, positive and professional. Kate took back the product that did not work for us and directed me to a more appropriate product to suit my needs. I'm so surprised at how good the deals are at Michaels pre-Christmas! The Christmas trees were all…read moreon sale and they were pretty too. We had just come from The Bay where the prices of trees were exorbitant. They had affordable options at different price ranges and options with pre-lit trees, flocked trees, and different sizes, although they didn't have any really large ones on display at the time. They had really cute lighting options as well that were all buy one get one free. They were smaller string lights of about 6-10 feet and featured different types of features on the actual bulbs like snowmen, reindeer, and Santa faceplates. They had really neat testers set up in store so you could press a button on a sample string of lights to see what they would look like. The batteries weren't included with these however. There were a ton of other decorations available that were ready to display or ones to customize.

I purchased an item with two pieces and was only sent one. Despite us having a valid contact for…read morepurchase they said it was a listing mistake and refused to send the full order. That is illegal, but even so one would think if they weren't going to honour their promise they would offer a refund for the bungled order. Instead they offered a $5 discount on a future purchase, not even on the purchase they messed up. So I am stuck with half an order, which I don't need, and no resolution.
