Alec was a complete clown.. I told him that my sub wasnt showing online. I told him I didnt get my 25 off when ordering a 250 dollar item with a pro account. I told him there was an issue with the rubber grommet above the eye where it was seperating.. He refunded my gamestop pro sub.... did not say a word just wrang it up threw the money on the counter and turned an walked away. this guy is a complete clown. Do not support this store. read more

They sold me a game on disk and I went home and checked it and I didn't work I went back latter and they would not give me a refund.

This place is great. The online services are not as great. I have been waiting 4 months for my game and I even contacted them about it but they didn't do anything. If I were you people. Just shop in store. :) read more

Half a star for this location would be way too generous,Last year I grabbed some games from them this time around and had a decent deal, I mean they never warned us one of the games would require some extra devices to run properly and those additional gadgets are sold separately and are not easy to find and yet there were some Black Friday deals. It was Ok,but when your employees can not even count that is a catastrophe. I've heard a million times that ordering on amazon or ebay or other sites is the better way of doing business.I guess I am old,but I prefer buying at the actual store.Today around 9 am a young man greeted me by asking to go outside...Seriously ?! He was not staying outside the store he just ran towards me to tell me he wants me out.That's way too classy!Announcement on the door stated that they limited the number of people inside to 10 yet I barely saw 4 customers inside the epic store and I was asked to get out.Might be a huge surprise to some,but there is a difference between 4 and 10.Also a difference between a dude warning you outside the facility or actually evicting an old established customer from the store. How are they still in business ?!I'd rather play my old games in winter or read a book or you know that might be time for me (and you)to start purchasing from amazon instead. I wear a mask when required and might even wash my hands more thoroughly than certain individuals,but that is utterly ridiculous,hope this place runs out of business as more people prefer to shop on-line , myself included. read more

I know the business has a bad rap but I don't have anything but good things to say about the Pocatello Gamestop. The associates here always guide me to the best games and are very helpful and personable when it comes to answering my questions and addressing my concerns about my console and controllers and how to navigate the online services. I recently reserved Destiny 2 Forsaken from the website to wait for me in-store and they had it ready to go when I went in for something else the same day even though I wasn't expecting them to be prepared and we spent a good half hour just talking about the game and the other that I had gone in to get. Everyone has a bad opinion about Gamestop but if you go in with the mindset that they are people just like you and me, and treat them with kindness and respect, then the service you receive will always be as great as my experiences here with this team in Pocatello. read more

I went into my local Gamestop on 7/15/2015 intending to take advantage of the deal where you bring in your old 3DS, and you get $100 toward a New one. When I went in, there was one group of people in front of me. They were quickly done with their purchase, and I was promptly greeted. No one else was in the store. I told Jeremy, associate number 352606, that I would like a New 3DS, and I was trading the old one in. Fine and dandy. He took my old console, remarked I must have downloaded most of my games digitally, and then did some mysterious things that required my PIN to unlock. He went to go get the new console and rang it up, then proceeded to overcharge me by more than $30. I told him it should cost less because of the deal, and he said "I didn't know there was a deal." Or something near enough as makes no difference. Finally, we got the right price down, he picked up the old console, and did more things with it while I was signing the debit card pad. After I had finished, I asked if it would be alright if I performed a system transfer there in the store. He told me he had just formatted the SD card, and that was no longer possible. He did this without my knowledge. I had no indication that he was at that step. I asked him very calmly why he did that. He told me that he didn't realize I wanted my data. So after acknowledging that I had many downloaded games, upward of twenty at my best guess, he did something that irrevocably erased everything on my SD card. Now, for the sake of perfect clarity I need to explain that Nintendo does not have an account system. The way they handle digital purchases is you are not a person, you are a console. And when you change consoles, you do this system transfer that gives that new console the right to play those games and use those saves. At no time did I receive an apology. At no time did he even act the least bit contrite. At no time was I offered a solution to my predicament that I did not have to fight for. So in addition to not knowing about the offer, in addition to erasing hundreds of hours of saves and all my licenses to those games and dozens of event Pokemon that I'd need a time machine to replace, Jeremy gave the worst showing of customer service I have ever seen in my life by not even attempting to apologize. I spoke with his manager about the issue, and was told that since there was a non-zero chance I'd have lost my data in the transfer to begin with, GameStop would do nothing about the employee that actually caused the situation. I have told this story a dozen times to dozens of people, and have warned friends and family about the dangers of doing business with GameStop. I intend to tell my story on Yelp, and wherever else GameStop has a social media presence. I believe people have a right to know the customer is always right...except at GameStop.
