Today was free comic book day. Monkey Paws was one of the gracious comic book stores to give us not…read moreone but four comics per customer. And they had great stories too. Heck they even have Blade in a few of them which I was excited for. I believe the whole store was discounted 10 or 20% as well. I've been there before and was treated well by the employees as the customer service was stupendous I'm all about supporting the local establishments but today I was a bit put off. They hold a raffle and for each customer transaction you received a couple of raffle tickets. One for today and one for a later day. Well I made my purchase and my nephew found something else as we were walking out the door. We stood in line and made another purchase. I wasn't given a ticket and asked for one and was told by the dark haired lady behind the counter that today was only one ticket per customer not per transaction and dismissed me. I don't see the difference between today or Any other day. My money is green and credit cards are plastic every day. If it's because of the specials at least they made 80% of the sale then nothing at all.

They have tons of old game systems and classic games for NES, SNES, Genesis, Wii, 360 and PS2/3. It's a treasure trove for game nerds and you will go in and just feel overwhelmed by how much amazing nostalgia is in there. And the staff is super friendly. You know they have the same conversations every day but they always make it seem fresh. Derek is definitely an example of an awesome employee and an asset to the store. Docs is amazing and patient…read more He helped me figure out how a Fourscore for the Nintendo would work and helped me figure out what the weird bootleg NES I had was. He made sure I knew to use a different plug than what came with it. I then asked what the "Nintendo Family Computer" was behind him. He then showed me an original famicom Nintendo Family Computer and explained how it's the upgraded version of (that) He then showed me the top loader American Nintendo that came out around the same time,looked similar. He then told me those need a different plug than they come with and that Japanese plugs work in American outlets, but they are higher voltage so can damage the Famicom (either one) Then he sold me two plugs because I needed them, for the future AV famicom. I would have bought the one he had but a customer was coming back for it from the bank. I don't have the pictures I took because I couldn't get help with my (potentially) bricked phone, because the Xfinity store I went to threw me out after berating their own employee who apparently had diabetes and said "don't help this guy, he has autism" because of my Autism Awareness Captain Crunch whistle. I am glad there are helpful stores like Doc's where they respect people.

We appreciated his good attitude. Parking is plentiful so that is nice as well.
