I'm writing a very positive review for the GameStop located at 1449 Metropolitan Avenue, Bronx N.Y 10462 (Parkchester location). On June 5th 2019, the sales associate who took care of me was Angelica. I went in to preorder (3) Xbox One S 1TB Fortnite SE Purple Bundle. I paid in full for my merchandise. When I left the store Angelica called me right away to let me know that the store was only getting (2) Xbox One Fortnite SE & that she was going to call the Gamestop at the Bruckner location & tell them to hold (1) for me because I had paid in full for (3). Angelica provided me with the name of the other sales associate from the Bruckner store (Stephanie) & that they will have it ready for me to pick up on Friday June 7th (release day). I was really impressed for what Angelica did as a sales associate. On June 7th 2019, I went in to pick up my (2) Xbox One Fortnite SE at the Parkchester location & John the sales associate took care of me. When I asked him if he could call the Bruckner store & let them know that I was on the way to pick up the (1) that Stephanie had put to the side for me, he was told that there was nothing there with my name on the side. John was very helpful & he told them that I had paid for (3) & that he had the (2) in his store & they had (1) at their store. He was told that there was nothing & that they were going to call the other customers who had preordered them as well & see what they can do & that they would call John back. I waited for 20 minutes & John called the Bruckner store and for some apparent reason they don't pick up the phone & never had the decency to call John back. John then call his manager & explained the situation. With all this going on John was like I can put in an order for you & let me see if another store has an extra one, he was able to find one at another location gave them my information & it was going to be shipped to their store between 1-3 business day. He went out of his way to keep me happy as a customer. I received a call on June 10th 2019 from John to tell me that he had some good news that my Xbox One Fortnite was in the store & that it was ready for pick up. When I went in Jeremy took care of me & recommended other items & I left the store with an Xbox Live 3 month, PS4 Fortnite Deep Freeze Bundle & I even preordered the Call of Duty MW Prcsn Ed GME SE1 (paid in full). The Bruckner store lost a faithful customer (which by the way I been at this store for 10 yrs) & the Parkchester gained a new one!!!! TO THE PARKCHESTER STAFF YOU GUYS ROCK!!!! They are very friendly, very helpful & courteous!!!! I'M VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PARKCHESTER STORE!!! read more

I placed an order through Instacart and when Shopper arrived, Store Rep who identified as "Harmony" REFUSED service and told him "Instacart shoppers can NOT shop here". I then contacted Gamestop Corporate Office and made a formal complaint on employee who refused to provide service In addition, I called store and ask her why she was unable to show where PS 5 Power Cable was and she said INSTACART ORDERS CAN NOT BE SHOPPED AT THIS LOCATION" ..Then she RUDELY hung up the phone and Corporate Office heard the entire conversation. This took place on 05-11-26 @12pm If Gamestop does not allow instacart shoppers to purchase items than why do they hv a "Partnership" with Instacart that they are NOT HONORING? read more

I f***ing hated this GameStop, very rude cashier & manager, horrible customer service, not enough selection of games just funko pops & Pokémon slop & of course very overpriced garbage for value of course. Never go to this GameStop again, I wished it got closed down just like the one from white plains. read more

Been going here for years. Unfortunately the service is no longer what it use to be. I bought a controller about a month ago. I was given a Power A wired controller from the back that looked damaged from the packaging. I asked for another and the staff person went to the back and came out with what looked like the same controller with the damaged packaging , color etc.. claiming they all were like that. That controller stopped working after two weeks and my left analog triggers my left trigger when using it. I cannot seem to get a refund now either. This controller was suppose to be new. I would not recommend this store anymore unless you have no other choice but to go here. Pictures were added so you can see I did no damage to the controller after the purchase. read more

This is the worst GameStop in the Bronx by far. I went here today to trade in my brand new limited edition Xbox one X gears of war console. when I have gave them the system. Which is "brand new" they allegedly said they seen a fly come out of the system and told me my Xbox was infested so they can't take it. I just laughed because I never heard of that in my life plus I made sure my Xbox was extra clean non dusty before I went to trade it in. once I walked into the store there was a black worker there with a tattoo on her hand, she had the worst attitude in the world I don't know how she got a job there. I went in looking for the Broly Figpin XL that the website showed they had in stock and ready for pickup. When I got there, the girl who is seen through the window clearly not working was suddenly and miraculously BUSY as soon as my hand grabbed the handle to get in the store. When I inquired about the item, she immediately said they didn't have it. She didn't stop her "work" to check in the system. She shrugged and made a face while continuing to unpack boxes. I'm petty when it comes to people being rude so I'll be reporting her to corporate. Last time I checked, there are quotas to be met and you're not meeting anything with an attitude and laziness. read more

MONTH OF MAY The manager of the store refuses to assist customers even when the only cashier is taking care of multiple customers. It seems as his rank as manager prohibits him to providing good customer care. I only needed one item to be given to me from a high display but he would not give it to me just because he wanted the cashier to do it. He repeated many times: " Only one line". I was online and given directions to pick my selection. It was just a humiliating experience to see someone refusing customer care because of his title. read more

I don't use yelp or leave reviews but this was unbelievable and unacceptable. So for this i will. The Team leader at this branch was no help at all. I purchased joycons at a different branch 7 days ago and they were not working. Since the damage must've been factory related i went for an exchange but the store i purchased from did not have them in stock. I was sent to the nearest store which did have. The so called "team leader" at this particular branch was unwilling to honor my membership as proof of purchase even tho these remotes were my last items purchased from. He did not ask what store i purchased them from so he can call to gather information. He simply told me that i needed to call customer service and brushed me off. After calling customer service and asking him to speak with customer service. He then requested a physical copy of the receipt... why ask me to call them if then you're going to ask for a physical copy. i had to go to a completely different store where the team leader was A REAL TEAM LEADER. Not a power crazed maniac that DOES NOT know how to do his job or know how to satisfy customers who ARE GameStop members. If you can read this parkchester team leader... you wasted my time just to satisfy your laziness. YOUR SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE AND I TRULY HOPE U LEARN SOMETHING FROM A REAL TEAM LEADER. It's the only video game store in this neighborhood. I gotta tell you. It's the best. They usually have launch night parties for big games like COD, Halo, Gears, etc. The workers there are very dedicated to their craft. They are the gaming gurus. Always helpful and knowledgeable. Their selection of games is expansive. If a game isn't there, you can usually just get that online. I mean older games won't usually be in stock, but every once in a while, you might be lucky. I just wish the little kids would stop asking to get the M-rated titles at checkout when they know they can't. read more

Very slow service, and the lady who's was supposedly the store manager had very little knowledge about GameStop products

This GameStop deserves 1 star, Some associate (I believe she was the manager) was not knowledgeable about there own merchandise at all, very slow service and disorganized. For ex. I recently went in just to check out a game and was buying one product, when I entered, there was only one customer, I searched the store for a while and still waited online for about 40 minutes while the same customer from the moment I walked in was being delt with, the was treated with a poor attitude, and this has happened with other employees at this GameStop before, so I only go when I'm near Macy's. The only reason they get any stars was one bright light, an employee, light skin tall young man who went out his way to help me and held a book for me and gave me the only positive experience I've ever had at this GameStop. This location is filthy and unorganized. The staff is slow and does a lot of social talking when they should be focusing on the customers. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Management should definitely send someone out to clean this store up and perhaps give their employees training on customer service. read more
