Three days ago, I bought a Funko POP in a GameStop store and upon inspection, there was a blemish…read moreon the figure. I took the POP to a different store closer to home for an exchange, at which point, Brian, the staff, said he would only do any return if the product was bought at that store and ADMONISHED me for even coming into "his" store for an exchange. I asked if that's a corporate policy or if "his" store is a franchise not a corporate store, he said no to both, but provided excuses that some people would buy a POP and tried to sell at the flea market but when they can't, they take the pop back. I asked then why not just flag or ban that particular customer instead of inventing a new policy rule, to which he had no answer other than "that one bad apple ruins it for everyone". I was going to just purchase one pop and take the other back to another store that was about 12 miles away. I had no problem doing that, but this is a case of either an unruly employee not following corporate policies or GameStop really doesn't care about its customers experience. To sum it up, the entire exchange was unnecessary and upsetting, and I wonder how many more customer has to endure Brian's rule in "his" store. Thank you.

He then asked if he could help, and I asked about a certain product and they didn't have it, so he was somewhat more professional at that point. They don't do anything that you can't get online for less, but I didn't want to wait so long in this case. I won't return after this experience, though.

Really don't care for this location. I really think their staff is disingenuous and are really just…read morethere. I get passion from other locations and I don't really seem to get any of that here. They rarely ask to help you or suggest anything, just really are there to make sure the store doesn't burn down but half the time could be replaced by a self checkout. I can't judge them on this but really don't like their corporation in general taking advantage of kids who turn in games and they give them nickles in return. I saw a girl bring in stacks of games, some brand new and get less than $10 in a store credit or $4 cash for them for them to turn around and re-sell them for triple. I know that's how they make money but wow. Plus they market games as "new" yet they're never sealed in plastic unless it's new out that week. An opened case is not "new" if you've opened it... But what really does it for me *drum roll* their inability to answer a phone! I've called many occasions and they never answer it, they ignore it, turn down the volume, etc. I even had another location call to check on a game once and I said to the clerk, I will bet you they won't answer, and sure enough they don't... I tested it once after calling for an hour I went in to find my answer myself, and the store was empty. So I called from my pocket while in the store, heard the phone ring, and the people turned the volume down. Just not the best location. Their lack of service will hurt this store.
