The decor is old school and soothing and the different genres are marked on the outside of the shelves. I was disappointed to not see a dedicated area for horror/weird fiction. I enquired about Lovecraft and the very helpful male staff member told me nothing was in at the moment. He directed me to fantasy/science fiction and I did find a book to my liking. He also found me a small collection of Poe which I also secured for my library. I was also advised that I can let them know of books or authors that I'm seeking and they would let me know if anything comes in. The store is big so I know there is much more for me to explore next visit and they have several cozy sitting areas where you can just read, or have a cup of tea as well. An excellent supply of books - of all types! I am interested in history, history of science, and older books - and I found good examples of all, at very good prices. It is also a coffee shop, and it looks like it could be a mellow place to hang out for a while. Not too much happening on Central Avenue - but it would be cool if this were the start of life coming back to downtown Middletown!

From what I hear, they really low-ball you (not just here, any location)..so, I probably won't attempt to sell anything to keep my good opinion of them going. He scours the rummage sales for used vinyl and knows where to source the new stuff. If he hasn't got what you want, he'll help you track it down. There's CDs too, tons of CDs. Even some cassettes! The used stuff is checked for condition so buy with confidence. They also sell turntables and speakers. Today I got a Doobie Brothers tape, Alan Parsons Project tape, albums by Jackson Browne, and The Byrds. Can't wait to come back for more.
