I recently purchased a remote for my child from your store. I didn't realize it was a wired remote until about 10 minutes later. When I called to exchange it, I was told there was nothing they could do. This was my first time shopping here -- I usually shop at Target -- and I was not informed at checkout that the item was final sale. No one mentioned this policy, and I did not see any signs. When I called, I was told to "read all the signs in the store," which I found disappointing. Had an excellent time here, walked in with the intention of selling my PSA Pokemon card and it was exceptional. The person you want to speak to is Richard, he was phenomenal in explaining everything, including how the payment works and how the GameStop Mastercard works, even telling me the nearest location of an ATM. Richard Walked me through it with ease and helped me out at a very necessary time. I'm actually quite grateful and will come back for a friend's card as well, even to purchase. This game stop is poorly run!!!! the store lead does not assist new employees at the register making returning and purchasing extremely difficult. The store lead spends her time running to the back when customers come in and on her phone. Furthermore, she does not represent what a store lead should her hair is never brushed and there is a foul odor in the store very off-putting. read more

Horrible service... I'm not prone to write negative reviews, but this I cannot ignore. I went in simply to buy a PS3 controller. I came in and was behind one guy in line. The associate asked how he could help me once he was finished and I simply replied, "A PS3 controller." He said, "Oh yeah, I think we have one or two." So I decided to be polite and stepped to the side while he helped the man in front of me. He proceeded to take his sweet time talking to another customer who wasn't buying anything, then let another guy skip me in line while I was being polite waiting, not to seem too pushy(it's a very small store and I was 5 feet from the counter). Then he answered multiple phone calls until he finally decided to help me. If that didn't seem bad enough, he sold me two used PS3 controllers and ensured me GameStop tests every controller for quality assurance and would never sell a bad controller. When I arrived home I discovered that one of the controllers left joy stick was broken, and the battery wouldn't work unless I plugged it in, even after charging it for a couple hours... I will be coming in tomorrow morning for a full refund... This is very unprofessional. read more

When calling the store Co*** picked up and asked me to wait for a minute . Patiently I waited for 15 min. I kept asking if he was still there. At one point we drove by the store . On our way he hung up on us. I called back just to be put on hold again. After another 8 min and already arriving in the store I waited and I witnessed how he put another poor soul on hold to ignore. I asked him if he was ever planing to get back to the people on the phone. He replied that you'd never know how long it takes to get back. If the store is too busy ask the people politely to call back later or take their number and call them back.. Here is a lesson in resale 101. Don't treat customers like sh***. His colleague ended out apologizing for that guy. For me this was the last time I bought something there. I do not recommend this store. read more

Like others have reported on here. It seems that they will answer your call and blurt out "Thank you for calling GameStop, please hold." Before you can get a single word out about how they've put you on hold once already for 10 minutes and forgot about you. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a game the employees play. Worst service imaginable. You literally have to go inside this place to experience just how terrible the service is. I can't put it into enough words. The staff is very unknowledgeable and unwilling to help you. Service is always so slow and the managers can't help you with anything. Called this particular GameStop as they sold me a disc that had a crack in it. The female associate was reluctant or unknowledgeable to answer any of my questions and put me on hold for 17 minutes. It took me 10 more minutes for them to answer the phone again. When a male associate answered I explained the situation how long I was on hold and he simply said, "what can I help you with?" No apology, no customer service, no manners, just the minimal to get by. Same mentality as a gas/food Mart. read more

i've spent money in this particular store many times. They have buy two get one free on used items posted outside over the door and all over the inside of their store. They would not sell me items on this promotion because I am not a member of their rewards program. The rewards program is not free, and know where all the signage does it say you have to be a member of their rewards program to get the deal. false advertising or bait and switch? i'm not sure which applies, but I will not spend my money here again. read more

I usually never go into game stop and this is a perfect example of why... I walked in when they were closing in 20 minutes so I tried to be in and out as fast as possible. Told the guy at the counter who greeted me, " I just need a PS4 controller " he quickly grabbed one and said I have this cool one... so I just said sure. I payed $57 dollars for this controller which I thought was a bit pricey but figured a new controller would be that much at a place like game stop. Come to find out it was a used controller. Yes it is partially my fault for not noticing it saying used in small letters on the packaging... But am I the only one who thinks that when you say " I need a controller" kinda implies a new controller? If I wanted a a used controller I would have asked for one. It was $6 cheaper than a new one. Which just shows you that game stop is not about customer service, they will try to make the most money off you instead of actually trying to help you find the best deal or at least asking if you want something new or used. I understand that's his job but instead of me spending $65 at your store I spent none (returned). And then, When I went to return it there were two people working and one of them was helping the customer in front of me and the other was stocking games instead of helping me at the other register, kinda common sense. Staff is super friendly, they answered all my questions and went above and beyond my expectations. I called with a difficult question and they were able to answer it in a much shorter period than I was expecting. Seeing a one star review made me nervous about calling them, but that review was basing it off prices/business opinions alone. The store itself is wonderful. read more
