Wow!! Being in here made me feel so old!! This gaming store was Packed with young whippersnappers ready to get their game on!! There was a pretty good selection of Mario games other video games, and game systems - Xbox, Play Station, etc. We went in looking for a dinosaur Wii board, and the dude behind the counter chuckled when we inquired. I don't blame him, they are pretty obsolete but we thought we'd check anyway! He said to try on line! He was cool tough! I almost want to give no stars, but there is a reason I will give one. The man who was in there was Young and helpful. He had a good vibe after buying a headset. I went back to return it after opening it. The manager as I walked in the store did not greet me. Just asked me what I needed help with. I was carrying the original bag and box for the headset I had bought it had been opened. That was her second question. She then told me they could not take returns, and her computer would not let her do that, I was very disappointed. I did not wish to pursue a return anymore. I was just sad. Save yourself the time and don't do business with GameStop, go anywhere else. Came to do a routine trade in of a console with questions of how to keep old save data, the associates didn't listen to us long enough to even understand what we were asking before cutting us off and telling us they wouldn't help. All we needed was a way to transfer old data to a new switch. Turns out it wasn't a difficult process at all as long as we had access to WiFi, but the employees were either out of the loop with their video game knowledge or just didn't even take the time to listen and address our concerns. Talk about lack of customer service. After I purchased a gift card for my boyfriend (at the location at Sheila Lane in Richmond, in which the employees were super helpful and courteous), we decided to go to Gamestop. He decided to buy a game, and asked the employee if they had it used. They did, but at a $5 difference. He asked to buy the new version instead, and the interrogation and belittlement was surreal: the cashier acted like we had murdered his mom for not taking his advice, he repeatedly told us we were wrong for not getting the game he told us to, and then refused to make eye contact or speak with us after we bought the new game. GameStop: please interview your employees and critically inquire about their people skills before hiring condescending, socially-incompetent jerks who aim to make your customers feel like crap. read more

Very clean store, great customer service. Employees are very knowledgeable about games and reviews of games. A very personable place. Just as any gamestop has a good used game selection, and great deals with system trading towards PS4. This gamestop is the same size as most others, small but its enough room to handle business needs. read more

I come here all the time; mainly when they have a buy 2 get 1 free deal on used games. I am satisfied every time. They have an incredible selection of new and used games for all consoles. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable, and is willing to help in whatever way they can. Also, if a game is not working, they will be more than willing to give you an exchange or your money back; just as long as it is within the deadline and with a receipt (7 days for returns and 30 days for exchanges I am pretty sure). They are always willing to call other Gamestops if they don't have something you are looking for. Very helpful, very good, looking forward to coming back. read more

Worst GameStop experience of my life and I've been going to GameStops before they were called that. Went in there to return a used game that was scratched, employee didn't know how to do it and was less than friendly, he got the manager who came out of the back and stated arguing about how hard it was to find the game I was returning before I got a word out, then they refused to help us and helped a lady who had come in after us that wanted to pre order a game and while they both stood there staring at us, we told them we we going to another GameStop to which the manager said "Thanks". This store deserves negative stars. read more

I had purchased an item from this Gamestop for my son and for irrelevant reasons, decided to return it a couple days later. I didn't have my receipt on hand but I did have my awards card and I figured the manager would remember me from just a couple days before, saving me time from going home and getting the receipt. No big deal, as I was prepared to accept store credit. The cashier scanned the item and look perplexed. He called back to the manager who came out of the back room and didn't even look at me. He look at the computer and told the cashier something and just walked away. The cashier said he could not accept the return because the item was not bought at that store. I asked to talk to the manger and he went to get him. The manager was in no mood to discuss this. He was in an angry place already and after looking at the computer again, he repeated to me that the item was not purchased from his store. I reminded him that it was he who checked me out two days ago, but he wasn't having it. He got really pissy with me and I got a little pissy back. I ended up telling them I would return with the receipt later. The next day, I returned with the receipt and decided I was not going to play the "see" game or anything. Just get in and out and let it go. The same manager was there and so he took my receipt and looked it over. He had an "aha" moment when he realized what he did wrong the day before. He asked me to come around the counter to see why it looked like I didn't purchase from his store. I politely said "no thank you, I'm good". He again asked that I come around and take a look. Again I said, "thanks, but I'm OK". This pissed him off and he flipped out. He backed off towards the back office and turned around and yelled at me in front of the entire store, telling me to "Get out". He said because I would not give him the opportunity to show me the computer, he was not returning my item. I asked him if he was really kicking me out because I would not go behind the counter and look at his screen?, and he again yelled at me to "leave or I'll call the cops". I did email the company about this and was told to just go return it at another game stop. But never an apology and anything about looking into the matter. Have not gone back in a year and am only posting this because I read the other guys post about a bar-code issue as well. Obviously, I don't go into a place like Game Stop and expect royal service, but in my 42 years, I've never been treated like this, by anyone... read more
