The truck arrived 15 minutes early and like their videos show, the pack of 7-8 year boys and girls rushed outside to meet the truck in excitement despite none of them ever having been in a game truck before. The truck was clean and despite the heat (90 degrees) it was cool and comfortable inside. Zack, our coach, was phenomenal about quarterbacking a dozen kids and their individual desires and skills and ensuring everyone was raving about the truck and wanting one for their own parties of the future as it drove away. Every system and TV worked, there were no issues. We celebrated my son's 8th birthday yesterday and it was a blast!  There were about10 kids around his same age, plus some teens and every one had fun!  Damionn was super attentive and made sure the kids were engaged and entertained.  My son and most of his friends were into Fortnite, but other kids didn't care for it, so Damionn talked to them to see what they liked and made sure they were happy playing their favorite games!   Booking the event was a breeze, we got reminders before the date of the party, the truck arrived on time and the party was a complete success! What a GREAT GREAT experience with Game Truck OC. Party was a HUGE success!!! CONTRACT & RESERVATION PROCESS: I called up Joel 2 weeks before the party (mind you, he was driving on his vacation) but took my call. I offered to call him at a later time but he insisted we talk. I let him know the details of the party and he answered all of my questions regarding pricing and logistics within a few minutes. He then asked me to fill out a simple order form on his website to confirm the date/time. He emailed me the confirmation for our party within a day. I made a quick deposit to hold the date and he provided some rules he needed me to be aware of within the email. A few days before the party, I received an email to remind me of the party date/time with the outstanding balance. The Game Truck made the entire process super easy from start to finish. Day of the party, Zack called me 30 minutes before arriving at my house. When he arrived, he was so friendly and quick to set up the internet line and got the truck going. Within 15 minutes, the kids were given the "green light" to onboard. The A/C was running, it was about 98 degrees outside. It was cool and very clean inside the truck. He had all of the kids put hand sanitizer on before playing. Then it was DEAD QUIET for 2 hours as the kids played their video games. One of the EASIEST Bday parties I've ever thrown. NO FUSS, NO MESS and NO STRESS! Thanks to Joel for getting us contractually ready and Zack for an amazing time. Zack had to be the MOST patient and friendliest staff I've ever had at a kid's event. He was so professional and always gave me plenty of warnings before it was time to wrap up. Even when he came to collect the final payment, he made it so easy. He left the invoice form with me and gave me time to fill it out in private without hovering over me for payment. This company knows how to run an amazing operation. VERDICT: 1) I will DEFINITELY be recommending them to all of my friends that are planning to throw a party and please ask for ZACK if possible. 2) BEST experience ever with a kid's party event. From the owner to our party rep, outstanding customer service & professionalism. 3) Very CLEAN & well equipped with everything. Some companies come and don't have everything they need and end up using the customer's personal supplies. Rented one of these for a birthday party the kiddos were super excited! Spent most of there time on the truck which gave the adults a chance to catch up. It had AC which was a plus considering how hot it gets in the summer. Also got to play the Xbox kinect on the screen located on the side of the truck the kids had the opportunity to use it outdoors while still playing a video game. We had this game truck rented for an event, and this was SO cool! Our event was mixed with kids and adults, and everyone was enjoying this. Our host was Damionn and he was incredibly patient all the kids were overly excited and begging for help at the same time. He helped every kid and very calmly let the other kids know he'd be right there, with a smile on his face. I verbally told him several times I don't know how he keeps his patience with excited screaming kids! Nice party. I wanted to strongly suggest that the tips of the metal laser guns be painted or wrapped bright orange, as they could easily be mistaken for firearms. Currently one set of guns appears dark green and black, and another is brushed gold and black. There is some camo pattern tape currently on the barrels, that is neither bright, distinctive, nor cautionary. The metal parts could be mistaken for firearms at a distance. I am currently involved on a volunteer basis with both local and federal law enforcement agencies, and in the interest of safety, sincerely recommend consideration of suggested modifications. It would make sense to keep the game safe for children. What a fun party. We had 15, 10-16year old girls (and my 19 yr son) and every single one of them had fun. Seriously there was not one complaint, or whinny child!! There was plenty of room for all of them (actually more would of fit). It was a very hot day in Nov (86) the truck was nice and cool. They had dance party on a screen outside, it was always in play! Damion was very professional, he showed up 20 minutes early (called first to make sure that was okay) he got set up and made sure the kids would have their full 2 hours. A bonus they accept Venmo!! So I paid the 1/2 deposit to Joel, very nice guy. Then I was able to pay the balance when the party was over, no problem. This truck hosted a birthday party on or street. It looks professional and the kids seem to like it. Two of my three kids were offered to come play. All of the neighborhood kids were invited and seemed to have a good time. With that said, the operator allowed the young boy across the street in the truck to play video games (Mario stuff), but would not allow my daughter. He is truly a sexist pig. He was rather rude about it to me as well, then played it off to the host parent and said she is too young to be in the truck. Both my daughter and the neighbor boy are both elementary age. Most of the other kids are elementary to middle school. I have three kids, and two love video games, but I'll never use this service and don't recommend it if you have a daughter. read more
