As a homeowner, it's been surprisingly hard to find contractors that meet my criteria, but Innovations Touch met them all! Although I have larger projects planned in mind, I hired them for some smaller projects to see how they'd do, especially after hearing horror stories of larger renovation projects being handled poorly. My townhouse was built in 1981 and needed some repairs. Innovations Touch installed a custom guard rail at the attic hatch, installed some new window screens, fixed the catwalk in the attic, did some window siding and wall repairs and completed some behind-the-walls plumbing work. During the whole process, they set expectations well, did a great, detailed job of the work, exceeded my expectations, was fair in price relative to the quality of the work and expediency, and even cleared up a slight miscommunication we had very professionally with no ego or attitude. I was very impressed. Given they literally met all of my criteria, I trust them completely now and it feels good to have an "I know a contractor guy" for renovations for myself and others now. I'm still building my "rolodex" for home repairs, renovations, and HVAC, but glad I'm taking one big one off my list.

Noe's Custom Remodeling was referred by ServPro as a service provider to help with damage from a…read morewater leak. Communication with Noe's crew goes through Noe's wife, Maribel, who is not prompt, nor clear. For example, one day the crew was supposed to arrive at 8:00 am to start work. They were about 45 minutes late, so I had to leave for a work meeting and asked that she let me know when they were at the building so that I could call the front desk to provide access to my unit. She failed to do so and the crew just sat outside for several hours - wasting their time and time that could have been spent working. Because the water leak came from above, my pantry needed to be repainted. They initially just painted over the stained areas - with paint that did not match. I had to insist that they use a stain killer to avoid mold and paint the entirety of the small pantry since they did not match the paint. They brought that up later as "doing me a favor" when in reality it was part of doing a job completely. Lastly, when they reattached the ceiling lights (after cutting out portion of ceiling), Noe had a hard time getting the wires to connect and jiggled them together until the light came on. When the light inevitably stopped working, they took about a month to reply (I was overly patient in light of winter storm needs) and claimed (without evidence) that the light was probably defective before the repair work (it was not). After several texts requesting they back up their work, Noe's wife Maribel told me Noe would arrive at 8:00 am the next Tuesday. Although I rearranged my schedule to accommodate, he never showed up . When I texted to ask Maribel where Noe was, she responded an hour and half later that she was not sure and then took another 24 hours (and another text from me inquiring) to say he got busy. I was then later told that the lighting problem could be a result of the leak - something they were hired to remediate in the first instance! Bottom line - if Noe had not been recommended by ServPro, I would not have hired him. Now that I have experienced the service, I urge others to go someplace else. Home repair is already a headache, don't compound it with poor communication, lack of proper customer service, zero pride in their work, and no follow-up with the work they did.
