The pictures you will see on the internet of their work are amazing but the customer experience, organization and communication is a total nightmare and caused us lots of stress. If you don't mind not receiving replies to emails for weeks, micromanaging / making checklists for your vendor that get ignored and then not receiving your card box although confirmed via email this might be the right choice. Yes the decor was nice but we had over 130 guests from different countries confused looking for a card box we were supposed to have, leaving envelopes in all kinds of random places or not giving them. We hired a decorator so things would be easier and more organized, that wasn't the case with Amanda. 2 weeks later we still hear complaints from our guests and receive their thank you cards. We were obviously busy on the wedding day and only learnt about the absence of the card box around 10 pm. Fortunately the venue had a small acrylic box which we used but it was only good for small envelopes. Some people were using a lantern, which according to the decorator Amanda was an alright alternative... No comment here. Amanda's invoice was not detailed and used generic language such as "centre pieces" or "guestbook/gift table", because of the lack of specificity we had to confirm everything and all the details via email and asked for photos and confirmations multiple times. The entire process was backward and even though she added the card box to her list and sent us a photo and after the wedding a small 170$ reimbursement she still kept on defending her mistake. She even said that she was providing some free services which we had no idea of? I think that she is not even aware of her agreements and responsibilities. Moreover her mom wrote to us and cced our mom, how professional and mentioned something about European tradition of not having a card box. My wife is European and trust me they use card boxes there.This company is a waste of time and money and according to them the card box is not that important. This is our story hope yours will be better. Our wedding was awesome but it would have been better without Amanda. I wouldn't work with this company again. We have emails and proof of what happened. The whole event was planned months in advance, including our good friend who sings as our entertainment. Unfortunately the morning of the party he came down with awful stomach flu and sadly had to cancel. In a panic to find more entertainment, I reached out to a friend who recommended All event entertainment, within 30 minutes I had them booked. They have lots of 5 star reviews which I thought was a good thing but I was naive, they must scrub all bad reviews. Review: It appears that Eric and Greg have a lot of 5 star reviews but I need to come on here to share a different experience. I was very unhappy with the service that they provided and so were my guests. Below are a few things that were off putting and disappointing about all event entertainment. 1. I was asked why I wasn't changing my last name, and then Eric tried to bro out with my soon to be husband after I said I am a strong independent women with a publication record who wanted to keep my own name. My now husband shrugged it off but I found it offensive. 2. Regarding the night of our wedding, someone showed up who I never talked to before after being told Eric would be there. Greg corresponded directly with me (the bride) several times. This wouldn't have been a problem if he didn't try to leave an hour earlier than he was contracted to do so. I told him he was contracted to be there until ten and he asked to see a copy of the contract. I had to leave my own reception to go get it. He accused me of changing the time on the contract and honestly ruined the last part of my night. Our best man threw money at the situation which I was opposed to. They have offered to refund this money, while at the same time denying that they received anything from him. 3. This company talks a big game but was honestly the only thing wrong with my wedding day. I would feel sad to not warn future brides about this possibility. They will not play top hits, they will not "keep the party going". They will change genres quickly and play extremely loud poorly chosen elevator music all during dinner. 4. Please be aware that a company with mostly 5 star reviews is something that deserves a closer look. They have been rude, they have lied, and been extremely unprofessional. From our first brainstorming meeting with Boo, in the garden at The Farm House Kitchen, we knew Boo was going to be a perfect fit. As a professional caterer and wedding planner myself, I knew finding the right fit for our wedding would be tough. Luckily, Boo came highly recommended from a trusted friend, and lived up to our expectations and her reputation. Her commitment to local, fresh and sustainable ingredients was in-line with our food values, her pallet sophisticated and mature, her kindness and confidence reassuring. Throughout the planning process, Boo was engaged and committed to our vision of the wedding. She met with us several times, both on-site and over the phone, coordinating rentals, sub-contracted vendors, set-up and clean-up of the event. Her staff was genuine and professional, and delivered a near-flawless service experience to us and our guests. All of which took place on the sprawling lake-front property of my in-laws. She and her staff must have each walked five miles that day. We supplied our family olive oil from Greece, our own maple syrup and honey that were well incorporated in to the diverse and delicious meal. A local baker and friend supplied a half-dozen varieties of homemade pies, which Boo cut and served personally from behind the dessert buffet. A nice, and personal touch. I was nervous to hand the reigns of my wedding over to someone I hardly knew, as anyone would be, and while Boo's rapidly growing and diverse business sometimes delays her emails or call-backs, there is no one in the Thousand Islands region who deserves the success she is enjoying more than her. I may also be criticized for asking too much, but we invested a lot of faith and money into our big day, and wanted everything to be perfect. With Boo and her staff, it was. The food, service and attention to detail was magnificent, and the overwhelming response from our guests was that it was the best wedding they ever attended. My wife and I highly recommend Boo and the excellent staff of The Farm House Kitchen, and consider ourselves lucky to have had Boo and her team be a part of our day. Thanks Boo, George and Abby.
