Overall, I am very happy with my experience and results. I received a breast augmentation back in September of 2016 and a year later, fully recovered, my only regret is not going larger. Karen in the office was great and really helped me throughout the whole process. Dr Ganchi was very informative and my Procedure went smoothly. The scars from the procedure are unnoticeable and I was back to work within a week. I'm extremely happy with my decision. The only negative thing I would have to say is that I was not required to have blood work done prior to the surgery. My surgery was done on 9/9 and I found out I was pregnant on 9/15 (this was unexpected). Now, they did perform a urine pregnancy test the morning of my surgery however, it must have been too early to tell. This caused quite a scare for me but I immediately contacted both doctors and my daughter has since been born and is healthy and was not effected by the procedure or medications taken during recovery. My OBGYN said it's always best to receive blood work prior to a surgery, this being one of the reasons why so I would strongly suggest that even if you are not told or advised to get blood work, I would just to be on the safe side. I had a breast lift on one side and a reduction and lift with some lipo on the other. This is because I had a lumpectomy in the past so I was uneven. The lumpectomy side just needed a lift. The staff and facility I thought was great. The end result a year later is that I do think they look much better, but I don't feel they look the same. The shape is different. This may be because of the prior lumpectomy but I think this should have been taken into consideration. Also the side i had the lipo looks like it needs a bit more lipo as you can see a section that clearly needs a bit more. There is like a layer of fat. When I went to my last follow up, the Dr wasn't there. And he wasn't there on a few follow up visits. The nurse was, to take some final pics and said I can have a bit more lipo done, but it would be another lipo procedure, meaning I would have to pay again. Which I feel to be unfair as I already paid to make them look the same. And already paid for lipo. This was expensive ..all in all, I feel they look better than before but still don't think paying for more lipo is quite fair. Also while I was recovering one side got a fungal Infection. I don't know how that could happen as I kept it very clean and followed all the directions. All I can think of is the tape that was put on was not put on properly and moisture got beneath it. I had to go in and have the tape removed earlier than expected, and put anti fungal medication on. It wasn't even noticed , as I was sending photos, until I specifically pointed it out. It's taken me a while to write this review. I hope that I can help other woman from experiencing what I have. In 9/2021 I had a breast augmentation which resulted in losing one implant due to infection. In 12/2022 I had that implant replaced. Fast forward my breast look like frankenboobs. I was so nervous before getting my rhinoplasty done. I kept pushing it off due to all of the videos I had been seeing online with people that had black eyes and extreme pain due to their surgery. I finally decided to book my appointment as it was something I had always wanted to do. Dr. Ganchi and his wonderful team eased all of my nerves that I had leading up to surgery. The office manager Layla tries hard to fool you, misrepresents facts about other Botox places. she talks up Dr. Ganchi and doesn't mention that he is her husband, she gets aggressive when you ask questions. I did Botox around the eyes last year. Dr. Ganchi does NOT show you the Botox container, instead he comes in to the room with a syringe already filled up, other doctors show you the container and mix it in front of you. the other woman that collects payment doesn't seem straight forward either. The people that work the desk, to the chew gum chomping assistant are SO rude! I show up for my appointment, they tell me I am there on the wrong day and that I missed my appointment. Oh really, I never got a confirmation call.....ever. I was there on the correct day so I waited, and waited and they put us in a room to wait some more. After 2 hours I see the doctor (for which I paid $80 for a consult), and his female assistant is sitting in the room chomping and snapping her gum, so unprofessional. I went to Dr Ganchi 12 years ago for a breast lift. He informed me that I was on the border for a lift and an implant would do the same thing. I was a little hesitant that I would just have larger breasts that hung but he assured me that would not be the case. I took him at his word. Well needless to say, I moved forward with the surgery and hated them as soon as I had them. I had larger breasts that hung. When I went back for my follow-up he asked how I liked them and I told him I hated them and it wasn't what I wanted, I wanted them lifted, he told me he placed the pocket higher for that effect. Well I didn't want the effect, I could have gotten a push-up bra for that!! He then proceeded to tell me I'm no longer on the border for a lift and I could get one for another $8500. I had lipo done several years ago by dr ganchi. The payment process was a good one they let me pay over time. The procedure costed me $7500! for front and back abdomen. I was told I would be able to go to back to work after about a week. UMMM NOT TRUE AT ALL! I had to wear my faja for 6 MONTHS because of the pain. It was like my muscle was being ripped from the inside off my skin if i didn't wear the faja. I was left lopsided in the lower part of my stomach. Found out the pain was from him performing the procedure wrong and brusiing and tearing my muscles. I was totally naive when I had this procedure done I was 25 years old and had never had plastic surgery. I would NEVER go there again. The dr himself was super nice to me but thats about the best I can say. His wife was the one (i think it was his wife) that arranged my payment plans and convinced me to do it and showed me the tiny scar behind her ear from a face lift she had and was trying to sell me it worked. ***This doctor botched my surgery*** Dr. Ganchi operated on me when he was not qualified in the area of operation. I visited him when I was 18 years old, it was unethical that he operated on me. He deceived me and lied to me. The operation was a horrifying experience as he was late, I did not go under anesthetic so I was shaking, and I drove myself home an hour and a half in rush hour traffic. I was left with scars all over the area. He should have informed me that he was inexperienced in the area of operation rather than use me as a guinea pig. I had this doctor to perform two surgeries and both went very wrong, the doctor's wife who works at the place was very rude to me when I complained about the terrible scarring that Dr Ganchy left in my arms. I consulted different doctors and all accept it that the procedures were very bad performed he took off too much fat and use a standard syringe for small areas. I had laser liposuction done with Dr. Ganchi and I can honestly say that Dr. Ganchi ruined my arms. He made so many promises and he fell short on all of them. I paid over $8000 for an end result of sagging arms. During my initial consultation my arms were 14" around and after the procedure they are over 16". I am surprised that someone of his stature would lie to a client just to make money. Someone with his credentials would know that the laser liposuction would not work and yet he had me believe that it could. Do your research people. I knew I wanted a rhinoplasty since I was a freshman in high school, finally when I was 19, I was able to do it. I visited Dr. Ganchi for a consultation to discuss how the procedure works and he listened to what I really wanted done with my nose and explained that the goal was to revise my nose. I booked my appointment, went back for another visit where they took pictures of my nose, and went over the procedure and healing with me again. Finally the day came for my surgery and I went in, they did a check up, and brought me into the operating room. All of the staff is incredibly friendly too so I never felt nervous!! Once my operation was done, they kept me in recovery for a little and then wheeled me to my moms car. although I did experience discomfort around my nose and my eyes, I was in more pain when I had my wisdom teeth removed. Of course there was bruising, but he works so gently that mine was so minimal and gone within a week, even before I got my splint off. I think the worst part was having the splint stuck on your face. Now I'm in my 4th month of healing and couldn't be happier with the results. Dr. Ganchi is an amazing doctor. His skills and education and ability in the operating room is one thing. His bedside manner is another that not all plastic surgeons can say they have. He is very kind and has a great enerrgy about him. He is detailed in his explaintations so when he ask several times if you have any questions he's already answered every thought that I had. As for the surgery it went exactly as planned. The result was exactly what I had expected it to be (6 months later) and as Dr. Ganchi and I had spoke about. The recovery and healing process was not painful and very little bruising. Just do as Dr. Ganchi says and you are good to go! In addition, Dr. Ganchi is not the only person you see, you interact with his team of people. They are all lovely. Allision is their asethitican on the staff and she is also amazing and great at what she does! My skin has definitely changed since seeing her for a few sessions. She also has great energy. There is no one like Dr. Ganchi. From the first time I met him, he was very calm and polite, but matter of fact and knowledgable. He listens carefully and explains everything openly and honestly, and you just know he cares about his patients. And he's been consistent in his character from day 1. He actually canceled my surgery on the day of because I didn't follow the proper prep procedures outlined in his pre-op package. It was my own fault, but he and his staff genuinely cared more about my health and potential results than they did about their time and day I had wasted. After reading ALL the other raving reviews about him on any other website I've seen him mentioned in, I never doubted his credentials, or even his integrity after our initial meeting, but after he canceled my surgery, (as disappointed and upset as I was), I have an even deeper level of respect for him. I live in NJ and part time in CA. I went to Dr. Ganchi 2 yrs ago for breast augmentation surgery, and the entire experience remains a nightmare. It is a nightmare that I will review in ten phases of the experience. 1) The initial surgery was botched the outcome of which was 2) obvious disfigurement, which garnered 3) Ganchi's ongoing refusal to acknowledge the obvious, and he and his office manager (who raves about him to pre-op patients, but never reveals she is his wife. I learned from another victim) who instead 4) subjected me to blatant, unrestrained emotional, mental & financial abuse in response to my voiced expectations that Ganchi respond professionally and ethically, whic he did not. 5) Instead, he & his wife accused me of having a mental disorder called Body Dysmorpia !! In which the person has an imagined negative perspective of their own body !!! 6) I went to several other cosmetic surgeons, did not tell them who did my surgery, nor any other background, and paid $200-$300 for exam and conclusive opinions. All concluded that in their professional opinions, the surgery was not done well, or even correctly, and the outcome would not be at all acceptable. IE- I wasn't wrong to be traumatized and CERTAINLY they had NO right to be saying the only problem was that I was crazy! 7) ONLY then, did Ganchi relent and acknowledge that which was obvious, but then still tried to dodge, by saying I needed a Breast lift from the start, but that wasn't what I came to him for! What?! my breasts were small, too small to have sagging before his botched job, and further, as to needing a breast lift prior, he NEVER ONCE MENTIONED ANYTHING IN PRE-OP appointments except augmentation and the records prove it! 8) He conceded to do corrective surgery and I did all the paperwork and scheduling with office staff , and at the end, they revealed they were not only charging me for the corrective surgery from his botched job, they were charging me the FULL COST of an ELECTIVE cosmetic surgery!! 9)There was much inbetween about why I didn't then pay another surgeon to do it, which includes that the good ones who'd examined me, didn't want to be associated with trying to correct the botched job of another and it also had to do with the length of time that had passed since the first surgery... related to decreased chances of successful outcome!! That means, on top of it all, the resistance to acknowledge the obvious, and the abuse blaming a mental disorder on me throughout, and the dismissive rude manner in which I was treated when trying to make continued post appointments, and all the insults when in their office, and on and on, led to a time delay of months, to get Ganchi to do what I learned other doctors do right away and without charge when there is a problem. It is unconscionable on top of all else that is unconscionable. 10) The corrective surgery was not only unsuccessful , he'd chosen to move the implants way up, inches above normal, and I have hard mounds above the breast line, and the natural fall of the skin, hangs below them. I am deformed. As to the reveiw sites that post almost %100 5 star ratings for Ganchi- Know this readers, and beware: I have posted reviews on sites other than Yelp, about my experiences with Dr. Ganchi, because anyone considering him, has the right to read reviews and accounts by his ACTUAL patient victims, and from those whose experience was like mine. And it turns out there are MANY and they say his staff posts many false 5 star reviews. And reading them, they ARE very similar, same expressions etc. One site, specific to cosmetic surgeons, removed my negative review within little over an hour, and one, within a few hours. This was so outrageous, that I persevered and the outcome was the same. It seems that the Ganchi obsession with these review sites and 5 star ratings, is such that they troll them or that when a site sends auto notice to them, they submit complaints of either violaton re the review or claim that the reveiw is a false poster, or the claims in it are false. Under those conditions, most review boards remove the posting to avoid even the possibility, until person reposts again & again. I did not know, that "review" sites could be anything but venues for unbiased reviews like Yelp. But the terrible reality, is that it's not so. Some are also sites owned by, or collectively generated by groups of doctors. They have the say. My reviews, and those of many others who posted truthful negative reviews of Ganchi, have been re-posted over & over on sites that portray only top ratings for him and I keep screen shots now. I was put on the phone with the HR Manager who was confused by my questions so I repeated myself.. she said and I quote, "I am not stupid, I am an educated person you were not clear.'' Yelp is the only place that honestly allowed me to leave a bad review. Dr. Ganchi and his wife Leyla, who manages his office, contact review sites when they see bad reviews and then make them disappear. The Ganchis not only deleted my prior bad reviews on Vitals and RealSelf and RateMd but they actually contacted me to tell me that they knew it was me who wrote it. Imagine writing a review in supposed anonymity only to have your doctor contact you the next morning and say that he knew it was you who posted the review last night. _____________ I wish I had known all of this before, because the entire reason I chose Dr. Ganchi in the 1st place was based on these review sites. Imagine, I saw all these glorious 5 Star reviews, believed them, and then chose Ganchi as my surgeon. I endured bad treatment and continually suppressed my displeasure because I thought, over and over again, that it must be me since he got perfect reviews from everyone else. The Ganchis made me feel as if it were my fault that I got 2 botched boob jobs with him in a row -- that's right, not one, but two! And they actually charged me for the 2nd surgery, hence making ME pay for him to fix his own mistake. But I trusted him to do the 2nd surgery after the 1st botched job because I went back to Vitals and RealSelf and reread all these glorious reviews again and thought that based on these reviews he must be the best, he must. In other words, for a 2nd time I BELIEVED IN THESE REVIEWS. Thus, I thought I should go with him again. And I did, much to my demise. Then I discovered a Complaints Board with tons of patients with experiences just as bad as mine. If you want to see, simply type in: Ganchi Complaintsboard Bad Liposuction. . ____________ The Ganchi staff has you sit there for 2-3 hours every time -- and I mean EVERY time -- and never deigns to apologize for the lateness or offer you a drink of water. I grew so accustomed to his running 2-3 hours late that I once let myself run a mere 15 minutes late. Lo and behold, Leyla called to reprimand me for being late. When I finally got there 15 minutes late, guess what? I proceeded to wait another 3 hours to see him. He was running 3 hours late and yet his wife had called to reprimand me for being 15 minutes late! I could've gone to the movies in that time and he still would not have been ready to see me. Heck, I could've gone to the movies and had time to spare to buy popcorn and Dr. Ganchi STILL would not have been ready to see me. Yet his wife reprimanded me for being late. _____________ Dr. Ganchi is constitutionally incapable of admitting problems with his work. He reacts by going into full mode denial. He denied my implants were falling down my chest toward my stomach. My nipples had turned upwards and were facing my chin. He said this was normal and that I had to wait because things can change over time. Why yes, I said, my breasts will change, but not for the better. According to the laws of gravity, they will only fall LOWER with time. It was stunning that I, a student of English, had to sit there and recite 4th grade science about the laws of gravity to a surgeon with a degree in science from Princeton, but hey, such is the power of denial. ______________ Leyla accused me of having Body Dysmorphic Disorder for daring to be unhappy about implants sliding down toward my belly and nipples pointing to my chin. That is right, I had paid them tens of thousands of dollars for failed surgeries and rather than being sympathetic toward me, they accused me of having Body Dysmorphic Disorder. In other words, they blamed the victim. Incidentally, the unhappy patients on the Complaints Board said that she accused them of having Body Dysmorphic disorder as well. It seems that blaming the victim is common practice at Ganchis. I had to go to 3 other surgeons and pay $200-$300 a pop to have them tell me, no, I did not have body dysmorphic disorder and that the implants had, indeed, bottomed out. _____________So there I was, running around to different surgeons, but at least it worked. Dr. Ganchi finally -- finally! -- admitted that the implants were sliding down my chest and agreed to fix them. Alas, he charged me all over again to do it. I was now in for close to $30,000 for 2 failed surgeries at Ganchis. Moreover, I had to run around doing the pre-op testing all over again (bloodwork, EKG, mammogram, etc), which means time, energy, money and stress all over again. And then......oh dear lord, yep, the 2nd surgery failed too. Dr. Ganchi had over-corrected the bottoming out by heaving them up too high and tight and they are now square at the bottom, rather than round as breasts should be.
