The last Shahi prawn. Big as a fist!
Shawn L.

Oh, Portugal how you surprise me. A land of so many things I'm not astonished that the Goa-Portugese connection exists, but finding it so strongly in a beach town like Cascais, well I'm stunned! Nothing was even close to being mediocre, from the pappadam to the mixed pickles. The Shahi shrimp was truly fit for royalty in a rich, creamy cashew sauce, their take on a mint and coriander tandoori chicken is stunning and their aloo Gobi is out of this world. You can't miss with this restaurant. There are a zillion places that try and get you in, Ghandi Palace has a guy at the door, he'll bring you in but he's a doorman not a tout, honest food, excellent prices. Eat here. Regrets? You'll have none.

Lamb Tiki Masala. Delish.
Ray C.

The food here was amazing and they had a 20% off of lunch menu while we were there. The prices were already very reasonable. We were drawn in instantly by the wonderful aroma that was in the air from their fresh made dishes. We had Lamb Tiki Masala and the Chicken Curry along with rice and garlic nan. The dishes were fantastic and we are so glad we took the opportunity to eat here. Don't miss the opportunity to eat here. The price is right, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. They have an English menu and several of the workers spoke English as well. Fantastic!!

A Xacuti that is supposed to be brown and not sweet

If this was Xacuti then we can call shrimp a pork, the meet was probably picked up from the trash can, it was sweet as a jalebi. No response or customer service. This restaurant need to be closed and sold to a new owner...

And the server explained and checked every dish that we could order. He even came up with an off-the-menu dish to meet the restrictions as most dishes were too spicy. We got: Papadh - freshly fried and served with tamarind sauce, mint chutney, and mango chutney. We ordered 2 to share amongst the 4 of us and it was perfect. Palak paneer - soft house made paneer cheese with a delicious spinach sauce. Perfectly spiced and generous portions. Lamb shishi - tender pieces of boneless lamb pieces in a sweet cashew/almond sauce. Mildly spiced, but still a ton of flavor. It's similiar to lamb korma but with a hint of sweetness. If you don't like spice but still want the complex Indian flavors, this is the dish for you. mango shrimp - big pieces of shrimp swimming in a warm and well spiced mango puree sauce. It's different than how I'd imagine mango shrimp, but it was still tasty and had a nice balance between sweet and salty. This was the dish the server modified to meet our gluten-free, spice-free, and dairy free needs. We chose to sit outside in the back alley and it was small side street with a partial view of the ocean. A few pedestrians walked by, but it was still a lovely spot. After our meal, it started pouring and the roads flooded quickly. The restaurant wasn't too busy, so they encouraged us wait inside till the rain stopped. Great hospitality

The roti wasnt as chewy as i like, but still delicious. The restaurant is clean and inviting, service was fast and the house wine is a bargain!

We started with paneer tikka and chicken tikka--both came in generous portions and were freshly made. The chutneys paired really well and added to the overall flavor. We also had a bottle of Piano red wine, which surprisingly worked quite nicely with the food. For the main course, everything was delicious. Standouts for us were the butter chicken, palak paneer, biryani, prawn curry, and garlic naan. The food tasted very fresh and well prepared, and you could tell care went into each dish. Service was fast despite the size of our group, which we really appreciated. Most importantly, everyone had a good time--especially the kids. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with great food and warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend for both small and large groups!

I had the meat and seafood thali, both were good, but I definitely preferred the meat one. Chai isn't on the menu, but they said it we'd available when I asked. The chai was also quite good and in a really cute pot. One thing that could have made it better though is if the pot had better insulation, the tea got cold really quick.
