First time going to this park and they have a great amphitheater area for concerts and bench seats for people to sit on or bring their own chairs. They have security and it's well organized when they are having events. They have different sections for guest to park. Definitely going back again for other concerts in the park. read more

Huge pool for summer fun. My God kids and neice were visiting and I wanted to get out and let them have some fun. We got here 30 minutes early anticipating a long line, but it was surprisingly only a few kids. It was only $2.75 per person, including adults to enter. The sitting area was spacious and they allow lawn chairs, plenty of shade too. We bought in a small cooler with drinks and I say other families with food and snacks. The life guards are great, friendly, professional and unafraid to stop the horse playing or running by kids. The slide was turned on after the first hour and it was a huge hit. We will be back again this summer!!! read more

This looked like a nice big park when I drove by a few times and I decided to check it out despite the poor reviews. I thought perhaps Yelp got it wrong. Well...I was wrong. This park is sad, it's totally beat up. I can see the original vision and it was probably spectacular in the early days. There's a big pool, bball courts, big lawns. However, it is now over run and decrepit. There are a lot of homeless people loitering around. This is a complex issue and my heart goes out to them but I would not recommend this park since it does not feel safe. I was hoping to get a run in but did not stay long. read more

The bathrooms for the women need major maintenance. Only one stall works, the floors were wet and there are no doors on the stalls. Due to the homeless that reside in the park at night and the city not wanting them removed, the restrooms are no really accessible while you are there. read more

Unless you wanna be waiting for at least half an hour in a line, the pool opens at 1 pm but you've gotta be there early. If you come after the line of people have went in, they always claim their pool is "full" and won't let you in. It happened today and it isn't my first time. I enjoy the large pool but they need to do better because that thing can DEFINITELY hold more than 10-15 people. They shouldn't claim they're "full" because there's a lot of people who sit outside the pool and very few actually in it. If you don't plan to get in, please stay behind. read more

the other day I took my child to this park and had to unfortunately use the restroom. One of the toilets in the open stalls was filled to the rim with human waste, and not only that the entirety of the floor was also covered in urine. It didn't matter where you went in. you'd still have to step in pee,even if you could get to the other toilet which was also mostly filthy. To top it all off, the toilet paper seemed questionable unsanitary. My child and I left disgusted and disturbed and we even had to wash our shoes and leave them outside because, there was no way to avoid all that urine. Please do a deep clean in the restrooms and upkeep! There's no reason, our city's park should ever be unsanitary to the point that it's an actual hazard. read more

PUBLIC POOL REVIEW: If i could give a negative -5 star, I would. The place looks awesome but the staff are horribly rude and have absolutely no customer service, especially the shrew named Maria. $2.50 a person is more than reasonable but you shouldnt charge a parent that isnt going to be swimming!!! When i told Maria that i would just be holding my son and husbands cloths and items, she said i could go out the exit. I thought Disney and Apple nickle and dimed you but this place is just as bad, at least Disney claims to be the happiest place on earth. I guess i would be angry too if i was a 50+ year old spinster who hates children and fun. Maybe you shouldn't work in the community if youre not a people person. Also if your Shorts are not up to thier standards they will refuse your entry. My husband had swim trunks with a lining for the crotch, which they made him show them....this was not only rude and uncomfortable but a total invasion of privacy. Im sorry we dont want to show you the inside of his shorts you lonely old woman. They had the audacity to tell him theyre athletic shorts not swim trunks, and this is AFTER we showed the inside lining per their demands. I didnt know Maria majored in Fashion with a minor is customer service, must be the requirements to work this establishment. No snorkel or water toys/guns allowed. (They told my 9 year old he couldnt bring the snorkel and face mask but there are tona of kids with goggles on...she could have just said no snorkle but the mask is fine) The actual location is nice with a fun looking slide which you must be able to pass the swim test to ride... but after dealing with rude 1 and rude 2 (like thing 1 and thing 2) i wont be telling our friends, family, and school groups to come here. read more

Like other people have stated, Ganesha Park is a bit rough around the edges. I've been here during the afternoon with a friend and his kid at the playground, and it was cool. There was no one bothering us, no homeless or sketchy people. Other times, it seems like this isn't the place to be. People sketchy enough to make you decide to leave. Immediately. Once, my kid brother was playing soccer with me here (He's about 4 at the time.) He kicked the ball into some pretty thick brush on a hill. I walk over to get it, and someone was in the bushes that we couldn't see. We knew this, because the ball was thrown right back at us haha. We yelled thanks to the guy. He said you're welcome, so he must've been nice. But still, be careful here. I'd suggest finding another park. read more

This fun, large playground is suffering from neglect. There was trash, including a used condom, all over.

During the daytime, not enough trees near the playground. There are more than enough trees where the picnic tables are. I don't like the bees during the summer, it kills picnics when you gotta combat bees from you're food. I love the pool though. They have a slide and clear borders for the shallow and deep end. Worth the pricing when you don't have a pool. I like the summer entertainment, music, movies and bbq's. When its a little bit darker during the winter or spring time, the kids get enough biking space. I hate when they insist in the sidewalks where we live...so I bring them to the parks. There's tons of people who bring their dogs, I don't appreciate the parents who let them lose without leashes. It clearly shows the rules, leash your dogs. There's enough to do here when you don't want to spend too much. read more

This would be such a beautiful park if there wasn't so many homeless people taking over half of it. Homeless people live in the giant picnic table area next to the swimming pools, and they also now inhabited the toddler play ground above the pools. The graffiti needs to go. The restrooms need to be cleaned daily and fixed. The small hiking trail on the mountain is nice yet you can hear people yelling at times and you see strange people climbing up into the mountain and disappearing. The pool area itself is great! It's clean inside the facially. My daughter took swimming classes their by our local YMCA staff and they were great. Overall, this park needs to live up to the scenery it has. The city needs to step up and take over this area and take the solicitors out of there. It'll be more safe. read more

This park is suitable for fitness purposes. I run here often using the back roads to get protection from the sun using the tree canopy. The best part here is the stairs over by the hillsides that can truly get your blood flowing! Warning though, this isn't the best place to bring a family around because there are a considerable amount of transients and drug use that goes on here and there. If the park was free of those elements then this park would totally be a 5 star park. Currently, I don't advise that people hangout here after dark because mosquitoes can be rampant and leave their mark on you. There can also be shady characters hanging out. Best time to be here is before the sun goes down. Sounds scary but it's a cool place if you just look out a bit. read more

Too many transients live here, use the toilet in the bushes and the restrooms are left to be desired,plus the pool this past summer had a greenish tint----so therefore I would not recommend coming to this park for anything, unless the citizens raise enough stink about it. read more

The park has many cool amenities. However, too many homeless living here, empty alcohol bottles, trash, and suspicious activity. This did not feel like a safe park. read more

I went to this park on a Saturday around 1pm. It has some potential to be a really nice park but there were probably around 4 homeless people toward the south-most segment of the park which unfortunately is where a few bbq's were. The bums had pitbulls too...bad combo if you ask me. Aside from that, there was only a few gangster looking people and huge crowds of hispanics celebrating a birthday or something. This place wouldn't be top of my list but for Pomona, it's not too bad. I'd go again. read more

I used to work at the pool like 7 years ago, I've always liked this park. If anyone thinks this park is bad now you didn't know it before!! The jungle gym now is great! Do you want to know what it used to look like? Damn metal bars, a sketchy ass tall slide I saw a kid fall off of, and squeaky swings. It is a lot better then it used to be. The homeless are still an issue and yeah there are gonna be alcohol bottles, trash, condoms, etc. When I worked at the pool it was owned by the city, then switch to the YMCA. I can tell you...you don't ever want to go in the pool. I didn't after I worked there. Let's put it this way...someone has diarrhea in the pool and we don't close down. Let that sink in.. But anyways I used to love walked through the hills, it's beautiful. The remains of old houses, big trees, secret trails, it's great. Be careful and carry a weapon like a small pocket knife. There are wild animals and sketch people. If you wanna hike during the day okay. This is not a place to go at night. Honestly unless you've lived in Pomona and frequented this park you gotta watch your surroundings. Everyone knows you don't go here after 4 with children and you definitely don't go here alone. It's a nice park during the day. And honestly most stuff wouldn't go down but it's so secluded with trees that late night shenanigans are hidden. But hey I still like this ghetto park (: read more

Wow. What a bummer- this place has potential to be a total gem. Neat houses on the hill, tennis courts, walking trails, a covered amphitheater. However it's biggest issue is trash and the fact that a-holes dump their pets here. Since moving nearby, I've had to make almost weekly calls to the Humane Society, one involving a bloody Maltese that was left cowering in pain. It's getting really old. This ghetto park needs security patrol and more trash cans!!!!! Shows how much our city council cares about its community- clean this place up!! Okay I normally don't enjoy writing bad review but I am hoping that one of the city workers looks into the smell at this park. They have a good amount of parking for such a small park. They have a lot to offer with half-court basketball hoops, Tennis courts, playgrounds for the kids, and a pool that opens in the summer. The park is also filled with homeless people and for some people it is a bit unsettling even though I don't like to judge people who are down on their luck so for our family it is no big deal but not everyone is okay with their presence. I did spend about two hours here and noticed that the public restrooms are really dirty on a Sunday morning and the park had a weird smell. Both my boys mentioned the smell wondering if it was feces or vomit. My wife constantly checked her shoes because she thought she stepped in something but didn't want to mention anything. So we never figured out where the smell came from but it made us strongly decide to never come here again. It's a shame that the uncleanliness will keep us away from a pretty good park with lots of potential. read more
