What nice and fun little park to take the kiddos to. It's located in diamond bar not too far from target and the freeway. There is a round about parking near the entrance with a moderate amount of parking spaces but if you go past that further in there are more parking available. The play ground is quite large compared to other smaller park playgrounds. The cool think i like was that stairs from the first parking lot with the restrooms connect to the playground. So kids can jump right into the fun. Next to the playground its surrounded with plenty of picnic tables (concrete) and lets parents sit and relax while the kids play. The playground has multiple entries with two slides? Two monkey bars, stepping stone style elevated steps, a fireman pole, etc... definitely a fun park to come to. There is a little creek adjacent to the playground where you get a nice tranquil stream of flowing water drowned by the screams and laughter of children in the background, lol.. its nice really and something that sets it apart. We did not go further past the stream but there appears to be additional tables and a trail. Had a great time meeting our friends there and enjoying some fun times with the kids in the process. An enchanting park with a playground for the kiddos and a simple hiking trail for kids of all ages. The space is beautifully designed with a parking area near the entrance where the softball field is located and several more spots down the hill near the playground and benches. Once you head down the slope, it does feels like a secret hideaway beyond the trees. This was especially apparent during the late December rainfall, where the wet and gusty weather resulted in many fallen leaves. The air was extra crisp, a perfect place to run around or play hide and seek. I've also come here before during the summer, and I can tell the management takes great care of keeping this place clean. The hike itself is relatively easy with some stairs and incline as well as a nice view to boot. Exercise stations are sprinkled around the top portion which the regulars here can benefit from. read more

I hadn't been to Sycamore Canyon Park in Diamond Bar in a while, so I decided to come here for a short hike. This Park is located on Golden Springs Drive in Diamond Bar, and it's pretty close to Grand Ave. It's a nice and cute park, and well-maintained. Parking is limited, but I'm able to find parking there every time. Once you enter the park, you see a large grassy area that is part of the baseball field. When you drive a little further then you see the kids' playground and jungle gym playground. One for younger kids and one for older kids. There are also tables for BBQ and picnic, and you can enjoy a nice stream of water from the creek. I liked that there's a bridge that goes over the creek. The hiking trail is short, but there are some stairways for a good workout. The scenery is okay after you walk up the stairs. It's a very peaceful and quiet park. Good for a short walk or hike. Btw, I'm surprised that the restroom is pretty big and very clean compared to the restrooms at the majority of public parks. read more

Stumbled upon this cute little park! This park has a nice shaded playground with plenty of large trees to provide shade for the seated areas. It also features a small creek for families to explore. I came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was quiet, filled with only a few families nearby. Wow! This park is very nice. Playground, creek, trails.... Fun for all ages. Definitely plan to stay for at least an hour. Parking seemed to be plentiful when I was there. Public restrooms are provided. It's clean, but there wasn't any soap in the women's when I went in to wash my hands. read more

Hello my name is lailah and since I would say 2 years ago I started going to this park, when me and my friends would go it would always feel off... one day while going thru a trail all the teens go to, we saw a demonic paper that had a satanic symbol, and I remember just feeling so off about this park, I even had a experience with a hollow tree that really gave me a uneasy feeling, I don't recommend this if you are very emotionally vulnerable because something took over one of my friends and I genuinely think something followed me home. Sycamore Canyon Park has a playground and tables to sit and lounge around it. Its a very shaded area which I thoroughly like about this park. Also there is a hiking trail that I now frequently go to now. Especially the last few weeks (despite it being late January/early February) its been very warm in SoCal. This trail is relatively easy as it only takes about 30 minutes to complete the trail. I also love how most of this trail has plenty of shade. One of my favorite parks and hiking trails to go to around the Diamond Bar area. read more

Beautiful park! There's a great playground for kids and another one for younger children as well. I liked that there were a few parking areas and a small hiking trail! The trail is a bit bumpy, but my toddlers were able to hike up just holding our hands. They do have many tables and benches around the park as well. I didn't use their restrooms, so I can't comment about that. But, it's a great park for picnics, a fun playground for kids, and a nice short hike with dogs as well! read more

I came here on Christmas day to get a workout in since all gyms were closed. I got here about 11 AM and there weren't many people here. It's a really nice park. We're at the bottom of it. There is a field and then a children's playground but if you walk up a little more, there are about 200 stairs and an amazing view once you get to the top. I went up the stairs five times to get a nice workout in. My legs were shaking. This is definitely a great alternative to having to drive to LA to go to the Culver City stairs. A lot less people and easy access and parking. This place is very clean and well kept. read more

This is my go to, morning walk with the dogs, on the way to my favorite coffee shop #reborncoffee. There is plenty of parking with restroom facilities. They have a baseball field and a great playground for kids. Toward the backside of the park there is a meandering stream and lots of wildlife. If you hike to the top, there is a side trail called Mesa loop with great scenic views of the valley. Best park in Diamond Bar! read more

Such a beautiful park that makes you feel like you're not in the city. There are two play grounds at this park and it serves as the entrance to a short hiking trail. The playground appears to be wheelchair accessible as there's a ramp that runs thru the entire playground and connects to the the smaller playground higher up on the hill. There are 2 parking lots with the smaller one being near the hiking trail entry. We went on a rainy day so there was barely any people but can see this as a busy place on a nice weekend. Many hikers brought their dogs along. Restrooms available at the top of the hill. read more

You want a short, simple and good workout? This trail is for you. Came on a Sunday morning and parked in below parking lot off of Golden Springs Dr. there isn't a lot of parking spaces so come early if you want to use this parking lot instead of the one off of Diamond bar blvd. you'll see a park but the entrance to the hike is on the far left. Did not expect the workout I had with this hike but it felt so good afterwards. There's a flight of stairs you'll have to go up before getting to the actual flight and it's pretty much an incline before getting to the stairs. But the loop isn't that long. What a beautiful park! We met up with friends and went for a little hike, and it was amazing. I had no idea there was so much beautiful landscape tucked away so close to where we live. I love this place! It's always so clean and makes me feel so relaxed. My partner and I love taking our Pomeranian here when we can for a hike. The hike is less than a mile but don't let that fool you! It is steep for about half of the trail which is a great workout for our fluff ball! And the best feature here is the stream that runs through the park! So beautiful!! read more

This park, in my opinion is the better park in DB even though it's smaller. I've been coming here for years, for company picnics, family get-togethers or just to take the kids to play. If you have little ones, this has the best play area for them. The park is split in half with the sports field on the street side, and the picnic, creek, playground and trails deeper in the canyon. Ever since they updated the bigger park up the hill, they stopped doing summer concerts here, but that's not bad for the locals who like it less crowded here. Like myself, it's nice when you can come here and not worry about parking. read more

Parking: They have three lots where you can park. They have one when you first park near the baseball area. Another if you keep going down, straight ahead, from the baseball lot. The last one is located on the other side of the lot. I'm unsure how to get to that side (it has about 5-7 spaces). I went around 9 a.m. on a Saturday and was able to find parking easily. When I was done there were a lot more people coming so you may need to wait for someone to get out of the lot if it's full or you might get lucky and find parking on the street and walk to the park.  My experience: This was my first time going to this lovely location. I was mostly there to walk the small trail they have with my dog and to view the river that runs through the park. They have a baseball area where you can play ball, a play area for children, lots of benches to sit and eat or talk and loads of green green grass and fresh air. On the day I went, the people were all very nice. A lot of "Hellos" and "Good mornings."  If you are worried about getting tired, don't worry because on the trail there are many benches and rocks you can take a rest on. I loved this about the trail because I did see a lot of older people who were on the trail. So I bet that helped them a lot. Plus it's really quiet there. So if you get a chance take a seat and enjoy nature, but bring a napkin or cloth to wipe the seat down before you put your bum on the seat.  Reasons why I loved this trail/hike/park: Shade: There are so many trees. Lots of shade from the hot California sun. Make sure to wear your sunscreen.  Stream: The water that runs through the area is pretty nice. It's quite a beauty to look at. Plus the noise that the water makes is really calming to me.  Resting areas: They have loads of resting areas just in case you get tired or just want to sit. They have this amazing area where you can stand or sit to view the stream. Lovely Wildlife: They do have wildlife here and there. Just be careful and be respectful. I mostly saw bunnies and insects. Really awesome stuff. Trails: It is an easy hike/trail. It took me about 30 minutes to finish the whole thing. You start going on a slight incline which is very doable. After you go up a huge incline, which is a little steep. When you are done with that, you will reach stairs that will take you up the hill. You climb a little more and finally you reach the view and fresh air.  Overall: Honestly one of the best parks in the area. Very chill, nice people and good vibes. The whole area was really clean when I went. Will continue to come back to this location.  **Tips - they have dog bags in the front, however, along the trail I did not see any other dispensary dog bag areas. Remember to grab a couple if you forgot yours in the front. Also wear good shoes. It can get slippery if you lose your footing. Just remember to have fun and watch your step.** read more

Such a beautiful & quiet park! We've been playground hopping with our toddler and found this place on Yelp. It was such a nice surprise. I'm not sure how crowded it gets but when we went yesterday it was not crowded at all. I'm assuming there's a hiking trail because there were cars there but no one at the playground. The playground is huge! Very big compared to the other nearby parks that we've gone to so far. The smaller playground is hugely separated by the big playground so that was nice. read more

This park is such a little gem between Golden Springs Dr. & Diamond Bar Blvd.. It's got a baseball field, a stream to play in, a wheelchair accessible playground, a short moderate hiking trail (not wheelchair accessible), picnic areas, and CLEAN RESTROOMS! It's a perfect place to spend the day, although I wish the trail were more accessible. It is a little strange that some parts of the trail have some really STEEP concrete stairs to ascend, so hold the handrails for safety's sake!! I went for a hike on the sycamore canyon park trail. It was a really beautiful view. if you come from diamond bar boulevard which is where navigation apps direct you to arrive, there are only 4 parking spots. If you know where the park entrance is, you'll have a better time finding a parking space. Pretty easy hike, there were kids doing it. Not ADA but there were strollers. I got lost at the start because there weren't any signs. Will go again and try the mesa trail route next time. read more

The front of the park has a small baseball field and as you walk-in the scenery gets better. After the field is restroom and large grass area than a big playground. After playground the is long trail of grass picnic tables. After you walk deeper inside there is a slight up hill road to a fence off area where small water fall is. It is peace and quiet there. If you have a Guitar in hand and play some music will be picture perfect. As you walk higher you will stop at a area to look over the mountains. It is where you can see the snow from far but closer than any high ground. There is a split of trial both aren't too long. Passing the view point there isn't much of shade but it shouldn't stop the hikers. It is a good park to enjoy family time while do a little hike! read more

A convenient trail located immediately off Diamond Bar Blvd. Easy to find the trail after you park. Tons of tree coverage, so it's cool when it's hot out and you won't get torched by the sun. There are two main trails, the crest trail that where the larger staircase leads, and the meadow trail that takes you down a smooth hill without stairs and into an area where you can view the stream. It is pleasant, tranquil and not too long. You can see a lot without being in shape. There are convenient bathrooms and a very nice play area on the Golden Springs Dr. side. read more

I like to take my dog here for a walk/short hike occasionally. I like that its got a little park, a little stream, a little nature walk, a little stairs, and a little hike. Literally a little bit of everything. There's plenty of nice grass areas, picnic benches, a playground, and a perfect spot to hang out with family and friends. If you pass the park, there is a very naturesque, scenic walk through the woods, along the stream, very well shaded and breezy. Then you hit a slight uphill dirt road that gets super hot in the summer because there's no more trees and shade a long this path. Then you get to two stair cases, both leading up to the top of the hill, into a loophole garden with a few work out stations and benches to get a view of the neighborhood. Overall, great spot to go when you want a short walk/hike. *Could definitely use more parking though! read more

Really nice park with a hike. Plenty of parking. The trail is short but there is a hike up some stairs that definitely is a workout. Part of the hike is also shaded under lots of trees which is nice. The trail is very simple. I drove all the way out here from the beach cities to visit but knowing how short the trail is I would say it's not worth it unless you're in the area. But if you are in the area it's def worth a stop and make sure to pick up some boba nearby for a post hike snack. :) read more

This place is a nice and scenic park that's nestled in the hills of Diamond Bar. I was here on an early Wednesday morning, and there were a decent number of people walking the paths. If you have kids, there is also a nice little play park for them. You will find numerous concrete tables along the main path that you can have a quiet lunch on. There's a small creek with a wooden bridge that leads from the inner parking lot to the picnic area. Cellular reception here is nonexistent, but if you are looking for a local park that you can relax and get some fresh air at, I would not hesitate to recommend this park. read more
