All the ingredients were incredibly fresh and had wonderful flavors. I love the concept of slower and healthier foods being served in accessible and easy way, and Big Fig is a great example of that. We only wanted quick 'starters' at Captains, my wife had her Seafood Chowder (a bit too salty) and I had NZ Mussels - she diluted her chowder soup with some of the sauce from my Mussels and it tasted very good then. Next day, my niece and her husband flew in from Wellington to see us for about 8 hours before returning. After a cruise, we went to Captains again for a late lunch. My wife and I ordered the same thing as previous night - so good to get FRESH NZ mussels instead of the frozen ones that we normally eat back in the States! Seafood Chowder was still a bit salty for our taste, so once again, it was 'diluted'. My niece and her husband had Fried calamari with fries and salad, and Lamb Ribs. We all shared a little of our food with each other, and all the food was very tasty.
