As you walk in the place is small but cozy and very welcoming. The menu is very small and has a "special" everyday. They have everyday favorites always but do run out towards the end of their day. As expected first thing that comes out are a small portion of chips and salsa on the house. Two tasty salsas but nothing crazy on the spice. We ordered lemonades and they tasted exactly how I like them, less on the sweet side and more on the lemon side. I ordered the caldo de res and my girlfriend got the caldo tlalpeño as it was a Monday and that was the special. The caldo de res tasted great, I adjusted the taste with lemon and salt to my preference. The caldo tlalpeño was good as well, very tasty with the chipotle pepper in the center. We also ordered two different tacos. A breakfast taco and a lunch taco. The breakfast was Chile con queso, it was basically melted cheese with the red salsa. The lunch one was a taco de bistec, great portion and cooked and seasoned perfectly! Over all I would recommend this place, id love to try other plates!

The major issue was with the food, and well, the lack of identity. I ordered a Burrito to go and lemonade. Eagle Pass has a few restaurants that have amazing lemonade; this was not one of them. The burrito was a hearty size, but I wish it was smaller, that way I would not have felt as bad about getting rid of it. The entire thing was burnt. Not just the tortilla , the steak ad beans as well. It was extremely unpleasant. I'm just glad I went by myself because I would have hated to put more money into such an awful meal. The food needs to improve here greatly if they hope to continue to attract people in, as it is not in a convenient location. One has to make an effort to go to this establishment.
