I ordered the enchiladas rojas con queso panela. And I've been craving to eat them again ever since. Their beans are heaven in a bowl!!! So homey. Image your grandma's best patch of beans. You remembering how good she makes them? Now forget about them because these are better!!!! They're the perfect amount of spicey, with a flawless flavor that makes you go mmmm. Now, my husband ordered an order of mini tacos. 5 come in an order. He chose the mixto order. Which means he was able to pick five different types of meat to go into each taco (one flavor in each). * Sirloin, bistec, chicken, etc.* He was in love!!! He was in such a good mood after eating these tacos, I took advantage of his mood and ordered my whole wish list from Amazon. The green sauce on the right of his tacos in the pic is sensational as well. If I wasn't a Christian, I would have put that bottle right into my purse. The only grievance I have is that their tea is flavored. But I'm basic so that might not bother most people. But it sure did break my heart that they don't have plain regular sweet tea. And the service needs work. They're not rude what so ever, they just forget you're there sometimes. Ladies if you're in the Eagle pass area and been wanting a new purse.....bring your husband here and you'll have that purse looking captivating on your arm in no time. Ps, they have wifi is you can order it while waiting for the check.

I conducted an informal survey of local residents when I was recently in Eagle Pass on business. When asked what the best restaurant was in Eagle Pass, four out of seven of them said La Parrilla. Two of them said La Parrilla De San Miguel. And one crazy person said either Chili's or Luby's. There's always someone... You'd almost have to be a local to find this place. It's a little red/pink shack on the side of Hwy 277 on the way out of town going north. I pulled off the road and dropped in. The place is small and plain, but very clean and well maintained. The waitress didn't speak a word of English, and my Spanish is limited to what I learned in 8th grade 20 years ago, but we managed to come to an understanding. La Parrilla's menu is small, in fact there isn't even a menu. There are some glossy pictures of food items that are posted on the wall. The grill of the restaurant is located in a screened shack which is outdoors in the parking lot. Walking in I was catching whiffs of the other customers orders - I have to say the hamburguesa smelled amazing. I'm not the kind of guy that orders American food at Mexican restaurants, but I half-considered it for a second. Given the name, you might expect they are good at grilling stuff here, and you'd be right. I went with the La Gringa taco, which was a fatty beef, caramelized onion, cilantro and cheese, wrapped up in a homemade tortilla. This is a staple of most Mexican joints, but this particular taco was the best of them all. I've never really relished a beef taco before, but La Gringa was pretty outstandingly moist, creamy and flavorful. Even the tortilla had a nice char on it from when they toasted it in the kitchen. It was excellent. The chips are homemade and thick, with a slight burnt taste to them, which added to the appeal. There are three pepper sauces which are provided at the table which all have subtle but excellent chile flavors. They don't really provide salsa here, but the three sauces can make do. The guacamole was the one weird part of the meal. There was no salt, no lime, no onion, no tomato, etc. They served a bowl of mashed avocados, and then provided me some cut limes and the pepper sauces. I think the idea is that you make your own - I mixed salt, lime juice and one of the pepper sauces together with the avocados. It was tasty, but rather hands-on. The parrillada looked pretty awesome at another table - I know what I'm getting next time. And by the way, I also tried La Parrilla De San Miguel and while it's nicer in appearance, the food is no contest. The people have spoken.

This place is so good. I got the enchiladas with green sauce. BOMB. Took it to go. So I don't know how service is inside but the young lady that took my order at the front was very nice. The beans it came with were also amazing. Really fresh and home style.

At night the open flames from the outdoor grills signal that good food is going on inside this tiny restaurant. The menu is limited. Maybe only five things-- but everything we had was made to order and delicious. The food is fresh and authentic, which is a godsend to Eagle Pass. One specialty was La Gringa, a homemade flour tortilla filled with cheese, grilled onions, fajita meat and grilled peppers. There's a mixed grill plate. The beef and sausage were simply perfect. The guacamole is served like I like it: mashed avocado with salsa cruda and a lime on the side. The chips are made there. Cash only.

It's kind of a hole in the wall but the Tacos are some of the best I've had in Laredo.

This place was recommended for authentic Mexican food. Please keep in mind there are so many…read moreregions in Mexico that one persons authentic food could be way different from another's. I found this place with no issues but parking was another story. I really didn't know where to park so I just parked next to the garage and thought that would work. lol. It did. I walked in and didn't know if I should seat myself so I just stood there and then I was told to sit anywhere. I chose to sit at a booth but after I got settled I realized I should have sat at a table because the table at the booth was too low and it slanted, sloped to the left. As I was looking around I noticed all the booths were like that. I decided to get the buffet. It was quick and I could see the food and decide accordingly. There was a good selection but I didn't see enchiladas. . . well what I think of as a traditional enchilada with cheese and sauce. I choose carnitas, picadillo, potato taquitos, caldo de rez, rice, carne guisado, and not sure if it was a taco or chalupa, and a lemonade. I didn't eat all this lol it was more so a tasting menu. Everything I had tasted good but I was missing that cheesy enchilada. I also had some chips and salsa. . . Red and a green guacamole type. They make homemade tortillas so I asked for two of each. I had so much food that I ended up taking the flour tortillas with me and ate them the next day. Staff were very attentive and the drink was sooo big they never had to come back to fill it. I didn't realize the buffet was $20. . . but if you can eat then it's worth it. I also didn't realize they had a menu to order from. If I'm in the area I'd give it another try.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The food was…read morehorrible--bland, lacking variety, and definitely not worth the $14.99 price for a single buffet. No pancakes, nothing kid-friendly, and no refills on drinks. Overall a very disappointing experience. I won't be coming back.

Visit date: 04/27/2026 Time range: 7AM-8:30AM…read moredelivery, pickup, or dine in: Dine in Y'all I was born and raised in South Texas. I feel that it is my job to know exactly where the best tacos are located in all of the cities in South Texas. That being said I looked up a few places online in Eagle pass, Texas and then I really deep dived. This restaurant was hidden amongst the MANY MANY options. Only having 14 reviews on yelp I said let me give it a try. I get there parking lot is empty and it's actually a bit confusing how to park. I finally decided to make up the parking myself and parked my car. Walked inside and was greeted by a friendly waitress. Only about three people working there. Dining room was empty. I will say it was around 7:00AM when I walked in on a Monday so I didn't expect no one to be there. That concerned me a little. However, I was given the menu it was all in Spanish. Luckily I understand most Spanish, but just can't speak it. I told the waitress who spoke English and Spanish what I wanted. Which was 2 potato, egg, and cheese tacos on flour; 1 bacon, egg, and cheese on flour and 1 Mexican coke to start and 1 to go. This is my go to breakfast taco order. The order came out rather quickly, but also not too quickly if that makes sense. The waitress brought it out on a beautiful hand painted authentic Mexican plate. The style kind of reminded me of my travels to Puebla, Mexico. I felt right at home. The tortillas were a nice color, the potatoes and bacon weren't soggy, and the cheese was melted! Those are my automatic failures for a restaurant if it is messed up on my breakfast taco and so far Gaona's had passed. Now time for my first bite. WOW. The texture, of the entire taco was amazing. The taco was a decent temperature not too hot which I like. The one thing I really want to rave about and that I know a lot of my family would love- is that the tortilla was TOSTADA and guess what... I didn't have to ask!!!!! Everywhere I go we always ask for our tortillas to be tostada, but this morning I was so exhausted from work the day before that I completely forgot. A tortilla makes the taco. The egg was cooked well, bacon was in strips and CRISPY, but NOT burnt and the potatoes (chef kiss) were perfection. I would say out of all the taco places I've tried this would rank in my top five. One thing I did find myself gravitating to was adding a bit more salt to my taco, but I grew up in a sodium loving family. So my love for salt is unmatched. After I finished my tacos I stayed a little bit longer to finish some work at my table and the waitress still checked up on me even though I should have left a long time ago. It hit around 8AM and people started to come in and this was the crowd I was hoping for as I was concerned no one would be there. This crowd though wasn't just any crowd... I could tell these families coming in with abuelas, abuelos, tíos/tias, primos/primas, the entire familia showing up weren't just guests they were actually regulars. It seemed everyone who enter had been there multiple times already and had their designated tables. That's what I love about a small restaurant like that to the staff you are family and that's what makes the tacos even better. This place is a hole in the wall, but that's a wall I would also run through! Go try it out you won't regret it! Just good luck parking if you are the first one there and there aren't any cars parked already, because when I was leaving all the cars outside were totally parked differently than me, but somehow their way made a lot more sense. Here's what I ordered and cost down below: - 1 Taco Tocino Con huevo: $4.49 - 2 Taco de Papa con Huevo: $3.49ea -2 Coca Cola Mexicana: $4.49ea Total gross amount of order not including tip: $20.51 I'll be back next quarter for sure!

Will be back soon! Did love everything about it! Good job ! Keep up the fresh n tasty food!
