A Fantastic discovery! We drove by the usual gas station spots. It has a paved parking lot with a creek next to it. We walked over the bridge to a Porch front dinner. It was about 8:00 Am. This was my first visit here. You order at the window inside and then they bring the meal to you and bus the tables. Prices are not posted on the menu, but it was $35 for 2 paninis with chips and 2 milkshakes. It was a great price. We would recommend the blackberry grilled cheese, it has jam, bacon, and jalapeños on it. It had a very flavorful profile. I loved the brown sugar cinnamon milkshake, it tasted like horchata. The creek is very nice to eat by, and they have sun or shaded areas to sit as well as inside seating. I did almost get attacked by a squirrel but that's not the business's fault. I'm sure it's because most people feed the squirrels and birds. If you sit outside, make sure to pay attention to any animals nearby. The staff were really nice as well. read more

It's nice to have a coffee option open until 8 in this area. We decided to grab a couple sandwiches and some iced lattes to enjoy on the front porch. Over the last 8 months passing thru or staying in the Cumberland Gap area I have stopped so many times I can't count . I have tried all but 3 drinks on the ever so extensive menu , multiple food items . Met most if not all employees and have to say they are one of the most consistent coffee houses ever . Every drink and every food item has been amazing . Most of the employees are very personable , friendly and genuine . This place was busy on a Sunday afternoon and I can see why! Delicious food at a restaurant set in an idyllic location. Waited about 10-15 minutes to order our food at 3pm on a Sunday. Food took about 10 minutes to come out after ordering. We sat in their small indoor dining area, but there are a lot of tables outside to eat at by the little creek that runs by. The only reason I do not give this place 5 stars is that they did not have prices anywhere on the chalkboard menus or on their paper takeout menus. To me, that's a cardinal sin and it's annoying to ask how much each item is before ordering, especially when there is a line behind you. The staff are beyond welcoming and helpful, food is honestly....fantastic!, there is great seating indoor and out (Dog friendly), and they provide decent WiFi for the middle of Appalachia. The staff was very helpful and even allowed me to open a tap while I prepped to take an online test and have a Zoom meeting. The prices are very reasonable. I recommend a frozen mocha (soy milk...duh) and their amazing chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, substitute potato salad for chips. The club salad was very satisfying and the ingredients were very good quality, all for under $9.00. The restroom was clean and large and the entire house was very well kept. If you ever thought how a restaurant can easily be missed by just driving. This is it. This is hole in the wall restaurant if you are traveling from Tennessee to Kentucky or Kentucky to Tennessee. Once converted from a house to now a restaurant, it has a lot of history. From the town itself, the Iron Furnace if you like hikes, Churches for wedding venues to the mini-river it sits right next too. You can either choose to sit indoors or outdoors, if in doors note that it is a tight fit. But if you sit outdoors, what a view you can get. From the mountains, weather to hearing the water from the river. Outdoors is dog friendly with a dog park a mile or so away. Sadly breakfast ends at 11, wish it was available until 11:59 for the last birds that get up late. Stop by, you won't regret it. read more

This coffee shop is absolutely gorgeous, from location to their own tasteful decor. I came here with my pups to grab a bite to eat and energize before hiking through the Cumberland Gap, which is very nearby. The food is great, but the best is the ambiance. The food was very good, and my coffee hit the spot. There are so many places to sit, whether it be inside, out on the front porch, next to the creek or out on the back deck. Everywhere had a lovely and warm feeling to it. I sat with my dogs out front near our car, and they exploded quietly and I enjoyed the weather beneath the tree. I really enjoyed being here, I actually sat for longer than I meant to because I was so at peace. The staff was very kind and patient with ms. I filled up and was on my way. A wide array of sandwiches topping at $7.99. We're not talking just some turkey and cheese on sliced bread. These were tasty and toasted and had ones I wouldn't expect to see in this small mountain town. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and it tasted just as good as one you'd find in the city. My gf got a country ham sandwich and it had a wonderful saltiness to it. They're served with chips - not sure if there are other sides. Also a decent selection of ice cream to get a cone and baked goods like cakes, scones, and coffee. The great part is that this is open pretty late which you might not expect for a coffee house. This is an ideal place to grab a bite after getting off the hiking trail nearby or to study. We'll definitely be back with friends when they come to visit us. read more

I went there on 3/17/23 and only ordered a small latte. I didn't ordered anything else, no extra shot, or flavoring or dessert. I only had a couple of dollars on me, so I had to use my credit card. I know the server said it $4 and some change. I put a 1 dollar in the tip jug. I signed my receipt, but I don't remember if I mark a line thru the tip part, which I usually do when I leave a cash tip. Today I notice that i was charged $ 7.49 for my small latte with nothing extra in it. I believe somebody wrote in a 3-dollar tip on it. I called them this morning and the manager wasn't there and no call back as of yet. So be aware of this people. I won't be back that's for sure!!!!!! read more

Visiting Gap Creek is always a pleasure. Having been there numerous times, I can honestly say I've never had a negative experience. The staff is kind and helpful, the ambiance is spectacular (I highly recommend eating outside by the creek if the weather permits), and the food is amazing. I have my favorite meals from the menu, but I also enjoy trying the special of the day. In addition to the great food, the coffee and other drinks are such a treat! I particularly enjoy the frozen Railsplitter. Lincoln Memorial University is in the immediate vicinity, thus the drink's name. (Y'all will have to do a quick search for deets.)
