Really nice well designed and well kept store. I dropped in a few times during December & January, didn't end up buying anything mostly due to the price range but I appreciated some of the retail fundamentals. I think they're the best designed, best merchandised and most shoppable apparel store in the mall (compared to American Eagle, H&M & Old Navy). The planners spaced it out nicely, room to move around, racks & tables not overstuffed like the others, and the staff have executed it well. Also very clean, the salespeople are always accessible (without hovering) and are always behaving professionally. As for the corporate pricing decisions... that's another matter. $108 for a paper-thin vest with no closable pockets? I think somebody's been hitting that legal weed a little too hard! Even at 50% off during Boxing Week, that's too much. Competitors had basically same product (with an inside pocket!) in the $29-$40 range and a Joe Fresh is $24.99. This is a $30 item and no amount of "branding" will sell it to me for more. There are other examples of such pricing. Years ago, I never shopped at Gap because I couldn't fit into anything that was a size 16. It was the largest size on the woman's side of the store back then. Five years ago, I lost sixty pounds. I can say that I don't have to worry about not fitting into anything at Gap and its sister companies. I had to do a huge wardrobe makeover. So, I ended up being a Gap girl. I like this store. I know which side of the store I need to be on (right) to be on the women's section. I also go deep into the back corner of the store to find the sales racks. Today, I bought a turquoise sweater. It was already marked down by 40%. I got an additional 40% off the lowest sale price. I paid $20 with tax. I would never have bought this sweater at regular price. Always good deal at this GAP, always clean and organized. Staff is friendly and usually helps with any questions you have. The children section is the best, as the adults' section isn't that nice, but all in all is nice. read more
