On this most recent trip, I went looking for one thing - some akin sweat pants - to wear over my yoga pants on cold days. I have a couple pairs already - Under Armour and Nike, but wanted something more yoga-like. They didn't have a huge selection - which I figured would be the case. They carry certain types of clothes with a few color choices. I found a pair of maroon athletic pants with a little glam trim. They were baggy in the thighs, more tapered in the calf, banded at the ankle, with a drawstring waist. For $10, I really couldn't go wrong. They had a pair in black, but I already have 2 pairs of black sweats. I grabbed a size that usually fits and moved one. I also needed socks and remembered buying some here before. They had a few to pick from at a decent price so I grabbed a packet so I could throw out some pairs at home that showed too much wear. Having come from Dollar Tree and finding they were out of every item I needed (all too recurring situation), I thought I would see if they had any of the things I wanted. Sure enough, they had the Hawaiin Punch water mix ins for a dollar. In the flavors I wanted, so I picked them up and headed for the register. For a change, there was no one in line and 2 young clerks who knew what they were doing and rang me up quickly. More often than not, there is a line and at one clerk on slow motion warp speed. The others are nice and proficient. The pants ended up fitting fine - so no need to return. I have had to return/exchange things in the past and doing so have never been a hassle - just do it quickly and have the receipt!

It is located Located on the second floor back corner next to the luggage and furniture departments. I love walking through these areas as you never know what they will have. Sometimes it is hit or miss and they have a variety of junk all the way to high end discount items. That is probably not how they market it, but just being honest in my observations. One thing I really like are the lower prices! $$$ I found two belts I liked ($9.99 each) and have found some cool Ralph Lauren Polo socks too. It really is fun to find the deals and in general the price point is well below the traditional store items. Make sure to note that Backstage does have a different the return policy. Macy's Backstage is 30 days and most of the traditional Macy's items has a 90 day policy. The discount store also has its own website at www.macysbackstage.com. If you happen to have a Macy's charge card you can use it here as well. Definitely recommend checking it out as it worth the walkthrough and items are added pretty frequently from what I can tell.

This location is close to my sister's place, so it was easy for me to swing by. It wasn't too busy and I was greeted and handed a shopping bag the moment I walked in the door. The place was well put together, cleaned and organized. I was surprised because during these sales things can go a little haywire but no worries because the folks running this place have it down pat. I was shopping around for Christmas gifts and noticed they had a 50% off sale going on. It was too good to pass up, so I took a look around. I was surprised to find several items that I just HAD TO HAVE! After grabbing up my findings and heading to the dressing rooms in the back, I knew I was about to spend some cash. The staff was crazy friendly, offering to grab me different sizes and giving me the boost of confidence I needed on a couple of items. I knew they looked great, but I needed some reassurance. It was much appreciated. I was jazzed to find a beautiful red dress, a fabulous blouse, and a sequined skirt. All items were must-haves and I left with an extra pep in my step, excited for a reason to get all dolled up.
